Aerlinthe Updates!

Gandalf Zu'l Zoran of SC reports:
"The new dungeon in the new tower on Aerlinthe is called : Coral Tunnel Level 40+ (84.0N, 47.1E). There are Ashen Bones and Relic Bones at the start. At level 2 you find coral golems in the nice looking coral hallways. One level further down in the dungeon is Lava Tunnels with Magma and Obsidian Golems."

Galia of LC adds: "When you first enter you need to run to the left and up a ramp, follow that and turn to get to a lever, when you pull it a door opens back down the ramp and you can enter the lower part of the dungeon."

Coral Tunnels also has portals that drop you on the west side of the inlet and back to the east as well.

Ajax the Great of HG poses with the updated Sacrificial Dagger.
Old: 2.5-5 Slashing/piercing + Hollow
New: 2.8-7 Slashing/piercing + Hollow

See Sacrificial Dagger quest page for updated details on the quest.

Notes from Eighty Sixer of VT:
--The run to the relic town is now much harder than it was before, with a huge amount of monsters (much more than before).

--The Keep (as much as I could tell) works exactly the same as before, with slightly more monsters. There are no shadows, and it is now filled with Great Revenants, Relics, and Cursed Bones. The run to Aerfelle is filled with Cursed Wisps (I think) by the dozens. The chest room now has Inferno's and Great Revenants on what appeared to be a longer spawn than before.

--Aerfelle is now surrounded by Lich Opressors, Great Revenants, Relic Bones, and one other type of VoD undead that I didn't note the name of. She herself now has a huge amount of health (couldn't ID for a specific number) and took at least 7-8 minutes to kill by my estimate. Maybe longer. The monsters in her room continue to respawn fairly quickly, and do NOT dissipate on her death. She dispels debuffs and counters with protections. She drops an Ornate Ashen key.

--The chest room also contains two chests now, instead of one. One for the Ornate Ashen key, the other for what I assume is the original Ashen Key. No one in our group had the original key to test the chest. The Ornate one however, dropped the 3 upgraded items: War Staff of Aerfelle, Aerfelle's Supreme Pallium, and the Superior Ashbane. The chest dropped miscellaneous other loot, but no scroll. Upon turning in the new Ashbane to Leikotha, I received this:

Gyes of SC adds: "Just finished the updated Aerlinthe quest on SC. Aerfalle's a machine now! If you vuln her, she dispells and casts the opposing spell, so the only way to kill her is to isolate her and *only* use rending weapons."

And Ali Los of SC adds: "Oh… Aerfalle has red hair."

David the Bear of SC reports that level restriction is now 40+ and the D Note Emissary will give change!

You give Gareana the Emissary Trade Note (100,000).
The voice in your mind purrs, "You are generous, not to mention strong. Yet honor requires I return the excess."
Garaena the Emissary gives you Trade Note (50,000).

Thanks to Okura Santoshi of MT and Chip Ali of HG, Seishiro of VT, Sofa King of FF, Gyes of SC, Ali Los of SC!

Burden Unknown Burden

You succeed in covering your hands and arms in foul smelling muck.

First you have to take the hookable portal from blackmire 1, run around and find a large spawn of guruk's from boor's to crushers etc, with louts and seer's etc, one will drop a note. Turn that in to the aun in arwic and you get two notes and flagged to enter toad at 39.3S, 50.9W (close to bm 1 portal drop). after you have your translated notes, head back to toad and use it, you'll portal inside, where there are guruk's right on ya, so buff outside. we took the left hall first, backtracked a bit after we found each end room that had the scrolls on the floor before each statue

Ja'afar al-Saladin of SC's Carved Mosswart Statue! Thanks also to Cyrano, Arbo of HG!

The stone appears to be unresponsive. Perhaps you are not attuned to ebb and flow of item enchantment. You will need mystic knowledge to access the magical teaching within this stone. Being that the statue is of a mosswart, perhaps you will need knowledge passed to you from a mosswart mystic.

Hi Maggie,
(add in normal praise for your site). I've found out what the Mosswart Statue is for. When you hook it and then do the quests for Bleeargh he tells you that now you have to find a stone that teaches you big good magic. I've done all the 6 quests he is involved with and then used the Statue at our mansion. It taught me ALL item spells from level 1-6 !!! So I guess that each quest is for one of the Levels (I used it 6 times and it filled my spellbook with all spells of one level each time). I don't know which quest is for which level of spells but I guess the level restrictions of the dungeons can give a clue to that.

Keep up the great work,
Sgt Detrius of HG

A Carved Mosswart Statue

This stone throbs with magical power. To the trained item mage, the magic within the stone appears to be attuned to the School of the Right Hand. Perhaps if one were attuned to Item Magic in some way, they could benefit from using this stone.

Hidden Entrance

Y dnew tells you, "Hail, friend. My name is Y dnew. I have been sent by High Queen Elysa to discuss the frequency with which the Burun have been appearing. Further, I am here to see that we keep close attention on the movements of the Burun and their new allies, the Renegades."
Y dnew tells you, "The events of the past few months has [sic] brought a great deal of consternation into the High Queen's court. Since Rage Lao mistakenly opened the first portals from the world that these creatures came from, we have wondered what they were. We still know very little, but we are confident that we will learn more about them soon."
Y dnew tells you, "In the past few weeks, we have seen a rise in Renegade and Burun activity near the old swamp temple near 25s and 46e."
Y dnew tells you, "I have been given leave to reward adventurers who assist us in finding out as much information as they can about the new relationship that the Renegades have forged with these Burun. Please use caution when approaching the temple. We know that they have enclosed the structure and are busy working towards some other nefarious end as we speak."
Y dnew tells you, "If you begin to become overwhelmed, please retreat. We have no cause for people to needlessly endanger themselves against this threat."

Directions to books from Afromagic of zero - WE:

In the first just work your way down (the Buruns around the top drop one of the notes for another quest) but as you get down father there will be one hallway with rooms on each side, on the right side in one of the rooms there is book that has the same name as all the others but isn't able to be turned in. Right before the Port to the next doungy there is the first book.

In the second doungy take the RIGHT door in the first room you come to and take that path down, in one of the rooms along the way you'll find the second book. When you get to the bottom where will be the next port to the Third doungy with a book right before that port too.

In the third doungy there will be a book just to the right of the drop down that hall way. When you come to the first room make sure to take the RIGHT path again and the first room you will come to will have a book in it. Keep going down this side until you get to the area before the next portal. When you get to this point go up the side that would have been the left door coming down and in the first room you come to on this side you'll find another book. Go back to the portal room and there is a book right before the portal again.

The last doungy I know has a lvl 80+ requirement for the portal and should be ventured through with care because of many hollow lugians and war casting tummies. Run down the hall way till you come to a T in the path. To the Left is a room with the Next book for the quest. Leave this room and take the other way from the T and keep working your way up till you come to a BIG room with lots of baddies, by a throne you'll find another book in about the middle of the room. At the far end of the room from where you started you'll see an exit that keeps taking you up. When you get to the top it gets kinda Maze like with one room containing the last book for the quest and another with an exit portal that will drop you somewhere between Kara and Qal.

Now that you have all the books take them bake to Yanshi and give them to Ydnew and your done with the quest!!
