Shadow Armor!
Statik Shot of LC reports the following:
"Players who turn in Glimmering or Sparkling Gems will now receive the
original Lesser or Medium Shadowhunter Armor. Players who have the 'stoneable'
or 'post-patch' Lesser or Medium Shadowhunter Armor will be able to trade
it for the original version, and vice-versa.
Players who turn in Scintillating Gems will now receive armor very similar
to the original Greater Shadowhunter Armor. The differences between this
GS Armor and the original is the new armor is a different color (and
players will have more color options come March), and that these GS pieces
have a Wield_Requirement of level 30 (meaning you have to be at least
level 30 to use the armor at all). Other than that, all stats are the
same.
Players will also be able to trade the new Greater Shadow Armor pieces for
the old 'stoneable' pieces and vice-versa. Currently, players with
original Greater Shadow Armor are not able to trade in their original GS*
for the 'stoneable' versions."

Agent of the Arcanum tells you, "Hail! The Arcanum has asked us to inform
all adventurers of an undertaking that you may perform to obtain Writs of
Refuge. However, these places are not without their dangers and should not
be ventured into alone. We have found large cisterns fueling the magical
Essences of Dereth, but something deep within these furnaces is hindering
the flow of mana."
Agent of the Arcanum tells you, "Go there, find a means to collect proof
that you have assisted in the clearing of this stopgap, and return to any
Arcanum Agent with the proof to receive your reward."
Agent of the Arcanum tells you, "I am also still providing Writs of Refuge
in exchange for any of the various items that we have collected in the
past: Diamond Powder, Nuhmudira's Token, and Quality and Regular Ingots.
Our focus is on the war to come, and we are sure that these items will
help."
Agent of the Arcanum tells you, "Once you possess the Writ of Refuge, then
you have satisfied the main requirements for acquiring a home. The
Covenant Crystals also require money and other minor items, but those
items should not be in short supply. Enjoy your homestead and Good Luck!"

golems. Lower part can use the hammer on the prism of fire to get the

dark hallway is a chest. It has a hammer in it
(note this hammer is a key make sure the crystal at the end is shut and
locked)
Then down the lighted hallway is stairs leading to a room with two
portals, one team must go to each portal. Note two people can do this
quest. Irons Magmas Flammas and Flares from here on.
There is a series of doors and switches, stay away from the middle of
rooms when going to flip switches. They are dispell traps.

Hi Maggie,
The dungeon has 3 areas. Top part: olthoi. drop into an acid pit and take
a few steps to get safely out of the acid. Clear the area of bugs, then
find a blue treasure chest (it's nearby). Obtain a hammer of Ice.
Then locate the 2 portals further down into the Olthoi area. Split up, and
prepare for elemental cold monsters (Frosts) and chilly golem-beasts. Fire
war and slashing attacks seemed to work well. The Frost (this is their
proper name) are a bit tough to melee.
Lower dungeon will need to press a lever to let the uppers behind a door.
snaking up the ramp system takes one to a room with gratings suspended
mid-room. jumping on them gets you do the chest with the "Frigid
Bracelet."

Once you get all 4 Fragments (Fragment of Fire Prism,
Fragment of Ice Prism, Fragment of Lightning Prism, and the Fragment of
Acid Prism) bring them to an Agent of the Arcanum. For each of the Fire
and Ice prisms, he'll give you 250,000xp, 1 writ, and a Craftable version
of the Fire and Ice prisms. Do the same for the Acid and Lightning ones,
but you'll get 500,000xp and 2 writs for each. Combine all 4 to make the
Rainbow plume. Now, none of the Fragments are givable, either normal or
Craftable, but the final Rainbow Plume is givable. Use the Rainbow Plume
on a Niffis Shell Helm, and you get the Helm of the Elements. The HotE is
givable, and is dropable.
Hope this helps,
Tarron of Wintersebb

Correction from Savina of TD
(thanks to the many others who sent this correction):
Once the crystals are given to the Arcanum Agent and labeled "craftable",
they -are- then giveable/tradeable/droppable.

Reported that Flame and Piercing
don't work well for Oak Golem. Use Bludgeoning or Slashing. Has fast regen
rate like a Diamond Golem. Spawns up near Neydisa and the Pit.
Hoarys also found in the area.
Rubble Abounds!
Aravel of MT reports on Rubble in the Small Hive (Levels 40-60):
"Upon entering small hive you will want to take the ramp down with the
stone arch behind it. Follow the dungeon through past the surface portal
and down another ramp. After the second ramp you will be in a room with an
olthoi noble and several others. This room has two exits. Take the exit
that is on the opposite side from where you entered the room. The next
room also has a noble. This room has a ramp down in the middle. Follow
this ramp down into a small room where the level 80 blue noble spawns. He
has quick regen like that of the swarm nobles. The blue noble does not
always spawn. Sometimes it is a purple level 145 noble. The spawn occurs
at a rate of about once every 15 minutes, or once every third purple noble
in the bottom room. They seem to spawn quicker if you kill the other
olthoi up top.
The rubble has a 100% drop rate. It can be traded and you can pick up as
many pieces as you want. There is no quest timer."

Stave
of Palenqual |
The Stave of Palenqual, an Aun Tumerok
relic. This magic caster was given to the Aun xuta by spirits call the
Deru. It is the embodiment of Marae Lassel's spirit - a single great
totem for the island as a whole. Three Tumerok fetishes are attached to
this weapon; those of Timaru, Siraluun, and Storm.
Rains up to twelve balls of frost down at the area around the target.
Each ball does 60-120 point so cold damage to the first thing it hits.
This spell is not very accurate, and cannot be used indoors. |

Cooking Love!
For details on making these tasty treats, visit the
Recipes page!
Dearest Maggie,
Whilst fumbling around in the kitchen yesterday I found that if you use a
cooking pot with milk it becomes hot milk, which in turn can be sweetened
with honey.
Aha, I said to myself, what if I add some cocoa perhaps I can make myself
a warming drink.
Unfortunately, it was the only cocoa I had so I was saddened to be told
that I had failed to make HOT CHOCOLATE.
Perhaps those agile chefs at Glenden Wood will have more success.
