New Island!
archergandolf provided instructions on how to get to the new island:
Head to the Obsidian Plains and
find the Singularity Bore 64.1S, 63.8W (Restricted to Levels 50+, may be
tied to). You'll find the new Rampager Tuskers & Terebrous Hollow
Minions inside.
Jump into the pit south of
entrance. Beware of Lightning Traps.

Take the west hallway and
take continuous rights until you come to a room at a dead end.
You'll find 4 Augmented Drudges, 1 Minion and the Guardian of the
Singularity.
Kill the Guardian of the Singularity
for the Sickle (below) and to enter the new island.
The Virindi's cloak seems to boil, as if a thousand insects were seeking to escape before it collapses. The dying Virindi shares its final thoughts with you: "Your life is forfeit, human. You simply do not know it yet. In killing me, [player name], you have gained access to your doom."
As the Virindi falls to the ground, there is a bright flash of light!
You'll have 2 options for the Singularity Caul Portals (Restricted to Levels 55+) to get to the new
island: 1) inside Bore Dungeon (run north) and 2) near BSD on the Obsidian
Plain - 59.4S 57.8W.

New Weapons!
Another exciting report from my friends in Damonarchy:
Doogens Mage says, "Two of
our members were at Black Hill on TOP of the plateau with the 2 portals and
the tower. A server message appeared... and then a spawn. Ordinarily that is
a safe area."
Doogens Mage says, "They
cleared it, and after the mess of Dark Marionettes, Tuskers and Virindi
Masters, they found Quiddity Ingots. The ingots say right on them where to
turn them in. We are trying to find out how to get the baddies to
spawn."
Zonata says, "and they are
givable Maggie, both the ingots and the weapons."

New Shreth Poop!

Dev reports the following:
First off, seeds can be found off of any type of Shreth. I recieved one off a
Hunter Shreth, and another seed off of a Blood Shreth. They look like green cocoa beans. (I've included screenshots of them in inventory and on the
ground.)
Once you've gotten the seeds, you take them to the Swamp Gardens located outside Yanshi at
22.5S, 45.8E. Inside are a bunch of reedsharks ranging from Adults to Elders. At the bottom is an NPC character who you give the seeds to. He will in turn give you a plant back. (Although I've heard that he doesn't ALWAYS give back a plant). The color of the plant given will vary. I
received a red plant (the one that's been extinct for a long time), and a blue plant (that just recently went extinct).
From what I've heard, he only gives those plants that can no longer be found on Dereth,
i.e. you can't get your purple plants this way.
I hope this helps.
Dev
Note: It's been confirmed
that Terese will also give the new blue and purple plants for the seeds.
Sometimes you may not receive any seeds at all, only a rude comment. Sometimes
she will try to cast a spell on you. You may also get several seeds at once
instead of just one.

Terese tells you, "What do you want? Wasting my time, no doubt, wasting my time! Don't you have some grandiose quest to do, or innocent monkeys to kill? Leave me alone with my plants. Growing them isn't easy, you know."
Terese tells you, "Yes the Shreth have been eating the plants. That's part of Dereth's new ecology. Go look it up. But, if you happen to go rooting through Shreth droppings, as I imagine you like to do, I'll take any seeds that you might find."
Terese tells you,
"These aren't seeds! You brought me some pebbles, you fool! You wouldn't
know a seed if it were growing in your ear!"

Black dye plants are received from seeds
dropped by the Rampager Tuskers. Drop rate is very low, comparable to Grievver
Acid.

Shallow Rift Opens!
A new dungeon has appeared near
Rithwic (8.5N, 50.5E). Doogen sends this report & map from the trenches!
"Danier and I explored the dungeon last night
-- many, many broken dolls, rifts and twists and turns later, we had navigated
this LONG dungeon. It's hard to get lost in it -- there are really no
dead ends, just a few squares with one way in and one way out.
Tonight Dirrich the Warden was spawning in
the basement. I waited my turn and burned him! He rewarded me with some
odd gauntlets.... I have this funny feeling I cannot set them down. I also
have an obsidian shard I'm gonig to take to have translated ASAP."
Note: the shard can be translated into Dirrich's
Journal.
The Shackles of Obedience are a pair of bracers that cannot be given away. Not
even to a Town Crier!
