HOLTBURG SURVIVOR.

All contestants were portaled to an Island east of ulgrim's island. Small landmass, not on the map. After most finished buffing, the +leo announced it was a false pretense and we had to fight off monsters to survive, last one standing wins.

Started with littles, bunnys and skulkers and ramped up it was a blur but had hoarys and ebons, then devastators, and a nifffus but I forget which, swarm muts and a pookie. Or at least a pookie clone hehe. The winner is enclosed in the screenie, Jinto Junior. He recieved the title Holtburg survivor champion."

"Well that was fun, took some screens for you as you asked me...That was a mob spawning ground starting with lower lvl mobs and increasing when we kill them :) here comes a full list of critters we had to fight:

Trog dor of VT reports: "Hey Maggie, There was a live event today (2/10/05) on VT. A global went out asking for 25 players from 70-80 to come to holt. I got there and was immediately swept to some very desolate island way off the south coast. We were given time to buff and were basically told that we would all be meeting the lifestone again shortly. The admins left and various creatures started spawning everything, from brown rabbits, to mad cows, to white rabbits and eventually high level virindi, among others. I was one of the last couple alive and eventually got killed by a Contagion Rat. The last survivor of the event was Reign Of Darkness and her prize was the title "Holtburg's survivor champion." Thanks for the great site maggie!"

Di of HG reports: "On March 5th there was a live event for characters level 80 - 99 in Holtburg. I decided to send my char that was in that level range (Dianas level 80). The +Lem sent 25 of us to the top of a mountain near the Plateau and told us that we were going to be punished for all the creatures we have killed just for loot. Saying things like ever think that the observer was just out observing the world or that the drudge was out getting food for his family etc... so he started out small bunnies and worked his way up the line sending various creatures on that mountain to kill us. The last person to live was given a reward. NEEDLESS to say I never thought that I would be that person... so I am sending you pictures of the thanking stone inscribed with Dianas standing underneath with her new title of Holtburg Survival Champion. (also got 4 writs)"

Rhesus sends this update: "Hey Maggie! It looks like there's more to the eye on this Gleaming Armor than is first apparent. It will tinker. In fact, I tinkered my entire suit tonight, six times on each piece. The whole suit is now AL 350. It will also Retain. I put a bag of leather on each piece also. I'd go for tinker 7, but even with ws 10 steel and a capped tinker, it's really hard to get 100% and I refused to tinker this stuff with anything less than 100% chance.

First the +LeO's gave us some cannon fodder.... but before we knew what came next, there were Obliterators, VoD Type Virindi, Diamond Golem Suzerains, White Bunnies +Much Much more.... El Un Dios won in the end, not sure what he won.... but he did get a custom title. Mustve had a good run skill, died about 6th last myself.... There was no hiding. The Obliterators and Rabbits made sure."

The Viamontians Attack!
Celdiseth steps outside to enjoy the night air...glancing around he sees something never seen before on his shore...

On Morningthaw, a group of Viamontian Knights lead by a Lieutenant and his Eater portaled into Dereth just outside of Celdiseth's Archmage shop. These Viamontians were level 85, and adorned the new Viamontian armor.

The creatures fell quickly to Pierce attacks, and the assault was stopped, almost as quickly as it started.

With the drop of the finishing blow, the marching orders from General Corcima fell to the ground, indicating their plot to spy on us. Unfortunately, Antius would not hear our plea to take the letter, so we tried carlo, who was also uninterested.

We are being raided, and nobody seems to care. I fear the worst.

Escaped Convict Harmlet the Green!
Renswic of HG reports:

Hiyas Maggie, we had a life event on HG last night (March 19, 2005). I wasn't really paying attention untill my vassal said we should hide the escaped con in my villa. Well the asshat in me knew that would piss off a good number of people, so it began. I told Harmlet the Green (the con) where my villa was and offered him sanctuary, and added him to my guest list then closed my villa. Not long after we saw this broadcast:

Broadcast from +LeO Badger> It's been overheard that Harmelt is being helped by Renswic. He is running to his villa at 17.9n 36.3e. Get there before he does and kill him when he arrives.

Well the few people that knew where my villa was started showing up, then came the LeO:

As more and more PKLs showed up, I was in tells with Harmlet, then all the sudden he's in my villa and has about half the server running after him. My vassal (studdly mcstudderson) invited him in and even gave him a cookie. After giving him a tour of my villa (he even named my guard tusker statue :) ) we hid out in my villas basement. Not long after we saw this broadcast:

Harmlet thanked us, posed for a SS and gave us a couple keys and left. Sadly, I was too busy playing host to think of taking SSs of the lynch mob outside my villa! In the end it was a hell of a good time. :)

Yaraq Apple Orchards Attacked!

Hello Maggie!
Well to begin with I was on my way to Olthoi Brood Hive (80+) when a message appeared on my screen saying that the apple fields were being attacked and they needed help. So I went running there to see what was happening. When I first got there there were only sewer rats, but as we kept killing bigger and bigger monsters appeared like Burun, Mite Queens, Margrul's, and so forth. Then when I thought everything was over, a Tremendous Monouga spawned in! I just had to laugh! But anywho, we killed it and they ended with VoD type liches. I just wanted to send u some pics that I took for you to look at.

Hi Maggie! Guess the monsters love those yaraq cove apples because they came back! It started with lower level monsters as before, and began getting harder then went to the TM and ended with pookie paying a visit to us. Was loads of fun and thanks the the warriors of HG, our apples are safe again!
