Quiz Night Results

Following is the description of the event on MT where team 4 teh win!1 -- me, Koujia Leggings, Verai, and VanDyne was the winner! We won a platinum scarab for each correct answer (48 out of 50), a chalice inscribed with our success and the title of Lore Master! Thanks to +LeM Kyoshi for allowing me to receive my reward on my home server TD!!

"Hello again maggie!

Oh man did I feel like I was in School again taking this quiz! When the +Leo made the announcement I went there in a hurry to the Shoushi meeting hall to meet my team....... the one and only BONE HEADS lol. When I got there there wasn't too many people there but there was enough to make you feel like you had a challenge lol. But anywho :) There were 50 questions that they had asked and they ranged from the easy "What skill do you use to apply salvaged steel?" to questions about the new Viamonts! Some were pretty long too and hard to remember like "What parts do you need to make an alloy machine?" lol We all had fun trying to remember that one, but thanks to numerous times looking at your site, my team remembered them all!!!

When we were all done with the questions, they asked every team leader to turn in the books and they took like 20 mins to look through them all and check the answers. By the time they were done I was anxious! And low and behold, my team was runner up!!! We all received an inscribed chalice (pic enclosed) and 1 plat for every 2 correct answers. And boy did I need them too lol! The winners received the title Lore Master and also received an inscribed chalice and 1 plat for every correct answer. So all in all, I really like this Live Event! It made us all think and use lore that we never knew we needed to know lol. Hope there will be more to come! And Maggie thank you! if it wasn't for your site, we wouldn't have been able to do this Live Event!!!"

Golem Attacks! (April 7, 2005)

Hello Maggie!

Well there have been many things going on in Dereth this month!. And I am absolutely loving it!!! :D Well to begin with, me (I was playing my level 70 mage Blood Rayne) and my RL Boyfriend who plays Neo Mega ( and Knuckles <3) were out at VoD just messin around when I saw a message appear on my screen saying that there was trouble by the lake edge in Rithwic. So immediately we went there to see what was going on. When we first got there we didn't see a thing, but as we went to the other side of the lake we saw them! Tons of Golems everywhere! It was just like the shadow attacks but this time it was time to play with the Golems hehehe. I had a blast trying to hit the Crystal Golem Imperators and the Sovereigns. There were also my favorite golems there! The Small Golems from Ulgrim's Island hehehe. Oh and btw....... the lag was really really bad there too lol. I almost got portaled out a couple of times hehehe. But anywho, the person who killed the last Imperator got the title of Golem Killer, I believe. I had a blast at this one! Hope there are more to come!

Triple now has the Title "Golem Killer"
Got one of the three major golem kills in the live event outside Rithwic!

DeMon of Battle and Karesta also got Golem killer titles too, I believe.

And my Wife... Demonwoman got the title "Husbands Healer" for healing me as I life bolted the golem to death... lol. She thought she should get something for that and I guess the +LeM agreed! lol

+LeM Chimaera was awesome! It was laggy as all get out, but was fun! I personally love the live events!

Another Viamontian Attack! (April 7, 2005)

Artic of TD reports: "Hello Maggie. I was at Ayan lifestone when Sir Jasuinn di Irvina appeared with a number of his soldiers. After killing him I looted 3 parchments. Afterwards the envoy told me that I should keep them to be used for something."

1) Journal Entry

This hunt weighs on the soul. I have embarked on many campaigns for my King. I have slain many foes. And I am happy to do so. I owe my allegiance to the Bull of Viamont and am honorbound to do as my King commands.

But this... The magics of Milantos have attained horrible new power in these new lands. The blood rites that Milantean woman taught our mages are more dreadful, more terrible, than any of which I have heard tale. And coming from a soldier who has interrogated dozens of Milantean mercenaries, that speaks tomes.

I fear what may happen when we find the artifact Varicci has sent us after. When we find this thing, we will have uncovered a powerful new weapon - a weapon which will give us no small edge in the coming war. But at what price? Shall we succumb to the base depths of those dark demons which we have long reviled? Is no price too high for our King? - Sir Jasuinn di Irvina

You are tasked with a mission of which General Corcima himself is unaware. You are to find this Queen of theirs - this Aluvian wench. Find her, and bring me her head. I care not how you accomplish this feat. Kill whomever gets in your way, be they Bloodless or not. But do not return to my land without that woman's head! - King Varicci of Sanamar

The King has requested detailed intelligence on the lands of the Bloodless. You are to scout their cities and outposts. Test their defenses. Discover their weaknesses. And kill whom you may.

Viamontians in Yaraq (April 7, 2005)

A report from Jackcat Ranger, Killz al-Evil of TD:
Hey Maggie, this is my first batch of screenshots I'm submitting to you as a Ranger documenting the raid on the north west apple orchard in Yaraq that started at 11:30pm on April 7th. The list of monsters came in waves and included Sewer Rats, Wasteland Rats, Emerald Gromnies, Copper Gromnies, Adolescent Azure Gromnies, Mite Queens, Tormenters, Armored Skeleton Lords, Biakas and lower level Marguls, Guruk Hulks, Guruk Behemoths, A Tremendous Monouga, and I believe 3 White Rabbits. Some of the newer enemies also made an appearance at the raid: Viamontian Tribunes, and Repugnant Eaters! The Pics aren't all that great, because they are incredibly fast runners, and even faster at dying. I did get their stats however. Enjoy :)"

Mad Cow in the Marketplace (April 9, 2005)

Kaos Dark Rose of TD reports: "There was a mad cow in marketplace tonight lol! A Mad Cow Foaming at the mouth with red eyes (obviously envoy ran). It was hanging around in MP making everyone go nuts. I tried to give him random items and start a trade with him to see if he had any secrets, while everyone else wanted to see him dead. He had gifts turned off so I couldn't feed him ;( But he was extremely funny lol! Mad Cows get Mad air!"

Viamontian Raid on MT (April 10, 2005)

"Hi Maggie, LOVE THE SITE BTW.... While chatting in Tou Tou on this cool April evening around 11:00pm EST on Morningthaw... Duri Galliant called across the allegiance chat for assistance on a raid in AB. When I arrived at my beloved lifestone to help, this is what I saw [pics 1 & 2 below]. I immediately grabbed my camera. I protected my camera in my one hand while I tried to kill them with Slash and Peirce spells using a rendering wand. My war is at 418 with renderings I could not hit them. Last time I try this with one hand ;). As the spawn of evilness diminished, the main leader appeared. Sir Giancarlo di Lotila! Oh my! He was hard to take down but we finally got him.

(Apparently I should have tried FIRE, lol.) A global came across the screen in chat after the death.

"Howdy maggie, Krunk of Morningthaw here. Viamontians attacked tonight led by Sir Giancarlo in Ayan Baqur. He was met by me and William the Bat and a few other Isparians. I was one of the first on scene and to start the battle with Sir Giancarlo. He was taking no damage at first. I had to take a slew of attackers while fighting him, but I managed to tank him and rest quite well. In the end he tried to refer to us as weak when he was the one dying. There was a global message and William the Bat got the kill, so he got the lore part, while I got the following global: Krunk...I will be back for you soon I have not finished with you yet.....Sir Giancarlo di Lotila leader of the Viamontian Knights..... So I guess he plans to come back for another butt whoopin MT style! I have enclosed a screenshot of the global.

Rat Attack! (April 14, 2005)
Hello Maggie!

Angelina Rayne here from HG. Just wanted to report in on the latest live event! Today there was a Rat Attack in Yaraq! Lots of people showed up only to die at the hands of Contagion Rats! It was lots of fun. I believe I died once and my fellow partner Forplay died like 3 times........ but hey u know mages hehehe! Enclosed are some pics that I took of this event. Hope you enjoy!!!

Pookie Loses His Way! (April 17, 2005)

Aniar of SC reports: "On Solclaim Pookie made a trip to marketplace... it was really weird. The rabbit didn't attack, but he moved around in search of its home. I summoned the 80+ matron hive and it went in. It got mad that there was no grass in the hive, so I summoned subway and let pookie have its fun. It was pretty cool to have everybody chase around pookie, although a massacre would have been more fun.
 

TD Attacks (April 30, 2005)

I was lucky enough to be around for the undead attack on the Abandoned Mines this weekend! Magicpipe II kept sending me tells to switch to a fire weapon. As I only have dial-up available from my home computer, I explained that I would be unable to fight or unable to un-equip and re-equip a weapon. That I would eventually end up at the lifestone, and 10 minutes later I would find out how I died! I am psychic, because that's exactly what happened! I did have time to snap some pics of the Skeletal Mates, Archfiends and Armored Skeletons before my certain demise!

Unable to return to the area, I logged off until the coast was clear, leaving my poor dead body lying cold on the ground. Craigii sent this pic of my corpse: "Some of us paying homage to you and showing our respects. Thought you'd get a laugh from it :D"

How embarrassing! ;-)
 

When I logged back on later to retrieve my body, there was another attack taking place, this time by Virindi! I decided to sit that one out. Magicpipe II sent these pics of the event!
