New Mage Armor!

The following letter is from Morat Dawnstrider of Thistledown:

Hi, I was on TD earlier with my hunting buddy Grolshetta, taking his
vassle Theralin up to Colier for a bit when we ran past "Spertat the Ursuin
Hunter" at 54.0 N 38.5 E.

I purchased a book of Empyrean text off him for 11p.

I was a bit excited about this as the server had not been up long, so I
knew that I would have been one of the first people to find this.

Anyway, I went to the translators at Zaikal, Cragstone and Hebian-To and
none of them could translate it. They all said it was a meaningless book of
symbols and equations. So I went to HUB and spammed to see if anyone knew of anywhere else that could translate it.

I got a reply from a level 62 character called "Restls" who said he didn't,
but he had bought a Puzzle Box off a wandering mage in the desert near Tufa.

I was suddenly inspired and suggested that we try using the Unreadable Text on the Puzzle Box. Some groovy effects ensued and a decoded book was returned.

We took this to Cragstone translator who gave me back the translated book.

Vanguard Leader's Amulet & Morningstar!

Fellow explorer,

What mischief can the Tumeroks be planning? Some days ago, whilst exploring the Direlands, I witnessed a strange conference: a Virindi and a Tumerok, staring at each other but exchanging no visible or audible signs. They were surrounded by several other Tumeroks and servile Drudges.

After several moments of this strange communion, the Virindi actually handed the Tumerok a necklace and a purple morningstar. As if that were not strange enough, the Virindi created a portal, and the Tumerok shepherded his companions through before stepping into it himself. In a move that, in retrospect, seems rash, I ran through the portal as the Virindi turned away, and found myself here.
