note for those doing this quest. Wait about 4-5 minutes before next person

New Quest - Chorizite Veined Shield
Deven-Kenyon of SC: "Hi
there Maggie! Hope you're well today! Just got a new shield with Ellen
Ripley of SC (see pic below).
Instructions: Fastest way is to head to Shoushi and take the Shou-Zin 31.3S
72.6E villa portal to Renegade Stronghold 34.4S 64.8E. Go into the portal
and keep left all the way to the end room where there's two doors under the
platform. Enter either door and head down, again keeping left. The key sits
on the table as it does for the other renegade quest this patch. Once you
have your key, head to 31.3S 58.9E (or near by) in Sawato. There's three
things in the chest, a refined chorizite chunk that you use mortar and
pastle on (gives 20 chunks for potions), the shield and a note titled
chorizite ore.
the shield casts Weave of
Chorizite (raises magic def 2 points) and Force to Arms on you (decreases
mana by 100) and it cannot be buffed/debuffed. Oh and the chest shoots flame
bolt VI at ya. Got me for 32 points!"

New Quest - Coarse Hide
Shirt
Damien Saren of FF sends news of yet another new Renegade Dungeon! He
reports: "Enak and I dived in and did this one up... Gab changed his
message about an hour or so ago...
Royal Guard Gabrielle tells you, "Hail! You've
arrived just in time! I've received word that Muldaveus and Niarltah
have been spotted entering a stronghold in the north near Stonehold.
We've sent some agents up to the location as a precautionary measure,
but we need all the assistance that we can get."
Royal Guard Gabrielle tells you, "There have also been sightings of
possible contact between the Burun and Renegades in Direlands swamp,
near Fadsahil's shop in the A'mun desert, east of Yanshi heading toward
Dryreach and the southern edge of the Blackmire Swamp."
Head up to Stonehold. The Renegade Stronghold is at 71.4N 28.6W. At the
end is a boss Lugian named Ollar. He drops 6 or 7 keys that unlock a
chest at the other end of the dungeon. In the chest are 3 items, a note,
100 distilled mana potions... and a coarse hide shirt."

New Quest -
Lugian Horned Helm
Damien Sarin reports: "Gab
changed his message a little over an hour ago...
Royal Guard Gabrielle tells you, "Your arrival is most
fortunate! I've just been informed that the Renegades and the Burun are
meeting as we speak. Our spies have found a location on the shore of the
Prosper river between Lytelthorpe and Dryreach. There, in a makeshift camp,
they have summoned a portal to a secluded citadel. We need you to go
investigate this location and stop them from them from signing any treaties.
Who knows what these Burun would be capable of with the Renegades assisting
them."
Royal Guard Gabrielle tells you, "Before you run off! Remember that there
are still Renegade activities near Stonehold, in the Direlands swamp, near
Fadsahil's shop in the A'mun desert, east of Yanshi, and on the southern
border of the Blackmire Swamp. These areas still need to be secured."
So Enak and I went in, then recruited Jeng Li-lo to help and we plowed
through... The dungeon was the one we been waiting
on all month...
Renegade Stronghold - 2.4S,
63.7E
Entrance is guarded by Buruns, Tumoroks and Lugians.
Dungeon is like the other strongholds... except the mobs get harder
the deeper you go. All the way to the end where
Burun Shamans, Savages and others are with Titans and War Mongers.
At the end all 3 of the big lore bosses were there:
Lord Muldaveus for the lugian renegades, Niarltah for the tumoroks, and
Torglukk for the buruns...
No type of attck worked on Torglukk, everything hit him for 0.
We managed to get Muldaveus away from the pack and drop him, which is
when this global went out.
Muldaveus' voice thunders over the land, "Niarltah, we
must flee. The Isparians have overrun our position. Come Morgluuk and
Torgluuk, we will take you to the safety of our hidden fortress. Fostok,
Amanua, get in here and clean up this tripe!"
He left no corpse and when he died all the lore bosses disappeared....
and 2 new bosses spawned. War Chief Amanua and
General Fostok. Fostok drops the lugian helm and
Amanua drops the BP.
War Chief Amanua says, "You should have thought of the
consequences of your action, Isparian."
War Chief Amanua says, "Mighty spirits watch over my soul. What hope have
you to penetrate their protection?"
Majhnoon has struck a mortal blow to Fostok. As the
Lugian General falls to the ground motionless, his helmet falls from his
head.
Majhnoon has struck a mortal blow to Amanua. As the Tumerok War Chief falls
to the ground motionless, his armor snaps free.
Timer: 28 days

Niarltah's voice echoes over the
land, "Muldaveus, we must flee. The Isparians have overrun our position.
Come Morgluuk and Torgluuk, we will take you to the safety of our hidden
fortress. Amanua, Fostok, get in here and clean up this tripe!"
Deven-Kenyon
adds these directions: fastest way to get there is go to Rith, take the
Lytelthorpe Portal 9.54N 60.0E and then the riverbend cottages at 2.2N,
50.4E short run to 2.3S 63.7E.
When you land inside, head north, open the door, head east, keep going to
the second door, then go west to yet another door, north and there's yet
another door. Continue west, hook a left (south) when you come to the wall,
follow that to another door, then two more doors north and west, then go
s/w/e/e to yet another door lol, and that leads you to the main room where
the two boss's are. Should note these guys aren't very melee/missile
friendly. it seems all the mages get the kills. not sure what type of damage
they're hitting for but my UA was getting 6's and 10's, my archer 20's and
50 crits :/ so best to bring a mage friend of you wanna take these guys
down.

Warrior Nest is a copy of the Soldier Nest, the Crumbling Empyrean Mansion

Mutilator Tunnels is a copy of the Empyrean Grotto (legionary pincer). The spawns
are apparently in the same locations, in the same number, with the same
timers on respawn, though your starting location is different from that of
the “original” dungeons. (For example the Worker one starts down what would
be the first door on the right in the Evis dungeon). For those familiar with
the layouts of the old dungeons, that should make it easier to navigate
these new ones.

I got home Ks Babe,
Lillyanna and I used the gem. When
you enter dungeon the landing is safe. Didn't get
Directions as we just kind of wandered around and did 3 different jumps down
til we came to a big room with lots of mosswarts

you kill him, you get a
head of the boss. When put on a hook and used,
it adds +2 to all magics."

New Quest - The Orphanage!
Quest Details:
The
Orphanage
Gobble of MT reports: "I went inside The Orphanage, a new dungeon
Caul level 90+ that spawns randomly (Level 90+). I got to the bottomand
confronted 2 new boss critters (btw few new shadows in there). I killed
ya'ruldi and he dropped a key (well 20 times the same key) and some junk
loot. I used the key on all 3 chests behind his room and got regular loot
from what I can tell. I was alone so couldn't really take a better look
since I had 10+ biakas etc on me at the same time.
Hak the Mage of SC reports: "At the end of
the new caul quest there appeared to be two boss monsters. One was a
large Margul and the other was a marionette. I found this spear on the
corpse of the marionette. The margul dropped several keys. Param Satyam
and I used the key on one of the three chests at the end. It appears
that the chests just drop sing quality loot." Thanks also to Busta Funk of SC,

Quest Details:
Raeta's
Necklace
Aun Papileona - 39.8N, 76.4W
Aun Papileona's Shrine to Raeta - 38.9N, 76.3W (level restriction removed)
Aun Papileona tells you,
"Greetings, traveler. Raeta's migrations are such a beautiful mystery of
nature. But where she goes, I must follow. I have moved my shrine to again
be near her presence."
Aun Papileona tells you, "It is unfortunate that my misfortune seems to have
followed me in turn. I have a grave favor to ask you. In his jealousy, the
anima Carenzi has infested the beautiful shrine I built for Raeta with his
own creatures. I tried to route them myself, but the horrid beasts nearly
ripped me to pieces and ate the key to my chest! Until my shrine is cleansed
of his defiling presence, Raeta will not return!"
Aun Papileona tells you, "I locked my amulet inside my chest--if you bring
it to me as proof that you have driven Carenzi away, I will reward you with
the title of Carenzi Slayer. Follow Volkama's riverbanks to the south, and
you'll find my shrine."
Aun Papileona tells you, "Incidentally, I would be careful going past my old
grotto if I were you--a motley group of Hea have moved in and made the place
their own. They had an interesting-looking chest with them...but I was in
too much of a hurry to follow Raeta on her migration to inquire further."

A vicious-looking riding crop, made from
the skin of an ebon gromnie. This was wielded by the Hea huntmaster
Tuperea when disciplining his pack of hunting reedsharks, although
it doesn't look to have been used much. There is stitching on the
handle which reads, "Crafted from the hide of my first gromnie prey,
snared in my first hunt upon the plateau. With this, I am accepted
into Aranpuh's new order. Soon we shall return to the Hea xuta in
glory." - Tupepuh |

Scalpel Updated!
Shadow Windreaver of MT reports that the Scalpel has also been updated!
"As always, it still has that special hollow like property, and is still
buffable." Seldin the Rogue of WE reports that the
old scalpels were not updated.
Ibn remarks: "The upgraded Virindi Scalpel should not be hollow at all...
but should be double-striking. So it appears that there are two bugs with
it."

A small, flimsy looking blade for precision slicing. It appears to be
made of pure diamond. As you peer at it, a swathe of tiny,
three-dimensional geometric shapes briefly flash violet within the hilt,
and a hollow voice in your mind intones, "Puppet, this reconfiguration
has been specially prepared and left for your use. Use this on meat

Aun Tanua's War Taiaha Updated!
Thanks to Tan-Ghil of FF, Elowan of MT, Mr Fizz of LC!
Quest Details: Aun Tanua's War Taiaha
Bachus Flufens tells
you, "Woe is me! The Hea must have overheard that I have been sending
travelers to investigate their caverns, for they invaded my house, burned
down my apple trees, and ate my bunny rabbits! I barely escaped here to
safety of Redspire in one piece! Fortunately my dear friend Micon has agreed
to give me shelter until I am back upon my feet."
Bachus Flufens tells you, "They must hold that relic in high esteem. A most
fanciful folk, I must say! I heard that it is a legendary spear that they
dismantled and enshrined in two separate caverns on the island. It once
belonged to a warrior from an opposite faction, I beieve. He tried to
persuade them back to traditional ways, but they would have none of it.
Somehow they dispatched him but retained his spear...which is supposed to
have some sort of magical, "living" properties to it. I'm not quite sure
what to believe."
Bachus Flufens tells you, "Perhaps the answer could be found in the caverns
to the northwest along the shore. Try the area around 40.2N 84.7W --at least
that's where I saw the Tumeroks heading last. Beware, friend--it's quite
likely to be well guarded. I'd go myself, but I must catch up on my journal
today. If you would like to read it, here are a few pages that I wrote the
other day."
Bachus Flufens gives you Bachus Flufen's Journal.
You give Bachus Flufens Tumerok Spear.
Bachus Flufens examines the spear intensely.
Bachus Flufens tells you, "Ah, so there was something
to their story after all...what an interesting find! But look here...don't
these slots along this side suggest that it is missing a part? I wonder if
it lies over in the caves directly to the northeast? For the past season
I've been able to watch many Tumerok comings and goings here from my front
porch. If you were to bring me back the object in its entirety, I'm sure I
could reward you."
Bachus Flufens gives you Tumerok Spear.
You give Bachus Flufens Aun Tanua's War Taiaha.
Bachus gingerly lifts the weapon from your grasp and weighs it in her hands.
Bachus Flufens tells you, "A Tumerok War Taiaha! One
of the first examples of Tumerok war craft I have ever seen. I must send
this on to Aliester--he will be delighted to further his research on Tumerok
culture. I thank you!"
You've earned 10,000 experience.
Bachus Flufens gives you Peerless Healing Kit.
Bachus Flufens gives you 2 Copper Peas.
Bachus tells you, "So you're back, [character's name].
Good to see you. I am always happy when friends stop by, especially around
sunset--the view is spectacular from here! I haven't noticed anything out of
the ordinary of late, but can never tell what will happen on the island!
Perhaps things will have changed even by next week."
