New Temple!
Aloria of HG reports: "I think I found the new temple at 51.5S, 67.9W.
It's southwest of the VoD LS. There are 5 Tormented Attendants. There are
also 4 plats with 4 pillars in a pit. I double clicked on a pillar and it
killed me saying,"
You allow Pillar to examine your A Carved Plate.
A plate is already set into this pillar. Perhaps you should try using a
plate on a pillar with a free setting.
A plate rests inside the depression on this pillar. The plate displays an
oddly positioned geometric shape.
You give Pillar A Carved Plate.
As the plate slides into position dread washes over you. Something is
clearly not right. Your palms become sweaty and your vision swims."
You were killed by Pillar!
Pillar casts Soul Dissolution and drains 338 points of your health.

Floating Bottle!
From Damien Sarin of FF: "Found a bottle floating in the water at 74.7S,

When you use it a soggy note comes out.
The bottle bobs up and down
gently along the shore. You wonder about it's origin...
You notice there is a rolled piece of parchment jammed tightly into the neck

History of the Moars on Dereth Part II
You give Fanzen San the
Translator The Moars.
Fanzen San the Translator tells you, "Ah! I see you have found my note. I
asked the barkeeps on the Vesayen Islands to distribute it for me. And since
you are here, giving this to me, it appears they did what I had asked."
Fanzen San the Translator tells you, "With all that has been happening of
late I can't help but be intrigued by all of this Falatacot nonsense. So far
we've seen a good deal about the under handed side of their people. But we
know there is a lighter side to them. A less cruel side."
Fanzen San the Translator tells you, "We also know that the Moarsmen, the
swamp dwelling creatures that were discovered when portals to the Vesayen
Islands first opened, have some sort of connection to them. The Adjanites
frequently kept them, though we are not exactly certain why."
Fanzen San the Translator tells you, "I would enjoy the opportunity to learn
more about them, but I honestly have very little time outside of my
translator duties to devote to researching the moarsmen."
Fanzen San the Translator tells you, "I know! Since you are here, would you
mind going back to the Vesayen Islands and look for information for me? I
can't leave this building, but I can read as much as I want!"
Labyrinthine Necklace!
Hello Maggie, I found a new dungeon on the jungle island.
(73.1S,81.3E) Mud Cave
There is no level restriction on it, and there are lots of moarsman inside.
I went inside and found this necklace, Looks like a quest item to me, I have
not gone to the bottom yet :)
Legio from Verdantine
Update: "I got to the bottom of that mud cave,
there was not dungeon left after that necklace. I found a summon poral gem,
summoned and I entered a different dungeon with some tomes at the end. I
could only reach one. The Sho translator translated it, and gave me 50k xp
reward. The pickup timer on the portal gem is 3 days."

This dungeon existed before but it's updated. I found Aquamire Prisms At the

In Moarsmen Spawning Grounds (69.6S,96.5E) I found a Jade Dais. Still no
clue what all the items are for.... This last dungeon had some creatures
which I had never seen. They could be new but I'm not certain: Elite

I was too busy killing it, didn't get a screenshot."

Amethyst Cradle!
From vlaid' of TD: "Ok, I went to the Moarsman Hideout located on ves
isles at 69.9S, 89.9E. I continued down, encountered new moarsmen called
Vicious, Muculent, and Disgusting Moarsmen.
I eventually came to a place where there was 2 doors on each side of room
and a lever. I hit lever, and it opened door on the right side. If you
continue, it seems like you hit a dead end but actually on the far wall from
the way you came, there is grating on the floor and a small slot you can
jump against the wall and fall down into.
[Eternal Frost of SC says if
you can't make the jump, go left instead. He states: "I jumped down
finally into a marshy room, found a tunnel to the NE and stayed to the right
while moving forward and walked right up to the cradle in a room with a
floating candle."]
Later on, you will come to what seems like a dead end with a surface portal,
past a door in a big room. In the big room, on the right side, there are
areas near to a candle where you can jump up to. I jumped up here and
continued through the dungeon.
I eventually reached a room and saw an Amethyst Cradle sitting on a
pedestal. I picked it up and another immediately respawned. I tried another
and it said I could get another in 3 days.
I left the dungeon and tried to hand the item to the translator in Hebian-To.
I proceeded to crush the cradle with a mortar and pestle.
You crush the Amethyst Cradle into a fine powder.
The item I now have is Powered Adjanite Amethyst with can be used on another
item. I tried just applying it to a crappy piece of jewelry, but didn't
work, so I'm stuck here."

New Dungeon - Tainted Grotto
Thanks to Damien Sarin of FF!
East of Yanshi at 17.8S, 50.6E
Creatures: Burun Seer, Louts, Soothsayers, Fiends.
Very large maze dungeon. 2 SIK or SSK chests upstairs one way at the bottom.
Singularity Weapons Update!
A report from Virindi Inquisitor of TD: "Hi! The new dungeon seen in the
teaser pic is called "Black Dominion", level 25+. It's located at 88.6S
25.9W near the drop from Mayoi to south dires. The top of the dungeon has
altered drudges and as you continue down you meet Virindi Observers and
Terberous Hollow Minions in good quantity. At the bottom there is a room
filled with blue crystals, a few SIK chests and a blue Virindi NPC ("Virindi
Castaway", level 11) that asks you to hand him a Singularity weapon for an
upgrade. From what I can tell you need lockpick to get to the bottom, there
is a 40 resistance locked door. The SIK chests don't seem to hold anything
significant."
You give Virindi Castaway
Singularity Atlatl.
Virindi Castaway gives you Bound Singularity Atlatl.
Virindi Castaway tells you, "Click and clash. Snip and
slash. Yesss. Aim for the heart, he said. I will do as he would want, and he
will visit me. He will. Please."
Update by Braxtynn of VT: "Hi
Maggie -- I love your site.........please keep up the good work. I ran off
to my favorite little Dungeon near Zaihkal (?sp) and found the Mossy Chamber
had changed dramatically. Not only has the moss grown and plants sprouted
all over the place, the Mosswarts have called in their tougher cousins. The
Mossy Idolators and Fanatics are gone and have been replaced by Mosswart
Mire-Witches lvl 70, Mosswart Muck Stalkers lvl 79, and Mosswart
Clingers..........and LOTS of them. I am young (lvl 37 mage) and couldn't
clear the first room no matter what I did. I didn't get down to the level
where you grab the shroud but with the shear numbers of the higher level
Mosswarts in there I would wager it is tougher down there too.
I hope this helps anyone that may want to grab a shroud, because it isn't
like it used to be. :) Dereth is getting tougher Mosswarts."
Harper Kesh of WE sends this report: "Hi Maggie
love the site ) Well before the hotfix, we managed to run through the
Singularity quest and get one of the new Scepters "War" or "Life". We
grabbed our blue ones and headed for Martinate Holding for the upgrade...we
made it to the end, but found that they took out the hollows and lower lvl
tuskers , all we found were Martinate Virindi Inquisitors and Plated
tuskers. When we made it to the Assistant, he wouldn't accept our Blue
scepter, but he upgraded my Dagger ) which I can no longer wield.....

adventurous sort. So am I, my dear friend! I must admit that I have been in

around Dereth. I managed to make the walk in about eighty days. I've only
recently settled here in the pleasantly arid air of Candeth Keep. I had a
particularly nasty run-in with some foul undead near the southern entrance
of the Valley of Death."

these foul looking undead beasts. They gave me such a fright that I lost a
collection of rare plates I'd received from Baron Eli von Schreft back on
Ispar. They're priceless, and I would certainly be pleased if someone were
to bring them back to me. If you find them please bring them here."
Vryce Calimbre of LC reports:
"I followed
Finn Skigg's instructions, and he appears to be not all that grateful
afterall. I brought him his set of lost plates, and he gave me.....nothing.
:) Anyway, the text appears below."

Fetish of
the Dark Idols
A report from Gandalf Zu'l Zoran of SC: "Hiya
Maggie, I followed up on a town crier rumor nd headed to the Dires Great
Lighthouse at 25.8S, 46.9W there you will find Hermit. When you approach
Hermit you get the following:"
The hermit's eyes grow
wide as he begins to speak.
Lighthouse Hermit tells you, "Ah, I do remember now. I
didn't think it would take this long, but no matter - you are here. If you
will but listen to my story, I will reveal a great secret to you."
Lighthouse Hermit tells you, "I once was the greatest and most feared
arbalister in all of Dereth. I once had everything a man could want from
this life, and I have enjoyed all that I have experienced over the long
years."
Lighthouse Hermit tells you, "But decades of adventure and excitement have
caught up finally, I'm afraid. I find myself unable to see the bull's-eye
any longer, thanks to the slow dimming of my sight. And more often than not
I find the string to be too powerful for these feeble hands to draw or
load."
Lighthouse Hermit tells you, "However, a ghost of the past still stirs in
this old body. And before death's final arrow tears through the dark night
in search of this weary target, I must see to it that my secret becomes
known -- it is with you I entrust this knowledge."

New Quest - Grave Robber Title!
Ruhain of FF reports: "My friend found a
portal gem (I didn't
see it so I don't know
name) on an undead around phantasm level.
We went into the dungeon and
it was filled with mu-miyahs
and undead, up to phantasms. There
were several levers to get thru the dungeon. Once
getting past a door on top there was a undead
called Ward of Rebirth
that dropped severrl skulls that you hand in to
the bestowment guild to get the title of
Grave Robber.
In the bottom of the dungeon was a large room
filled with phantasms and dessicated mu-muyias, a
runed chest with no lock and a map of Dereth that
can be pickled up. Timer on chest is 7 days.
Ruhain and Grizz
