Town Crier tells you, "Rumor says there is a new Olthoi hive near Beach Pass and one near the New Cannthalo settlement."

Town Crier tells you, "The Tumeroks have grown a huge tree in the center of Candeth Keep. They say that it's the heart of the city. Supposedly they can talk to it or some such nonsense. Don't get me wrong, I respect their beliefs, I'm just not sure I believe them."

Town Crier tells you, "They have infested most of the world, and now the Olthoi have begun to blight our lands. And to make matters worse, it looks as though they are beginning to establish new hives in the Olthoi North!"

Town Crier tells you, "Aerbax and Nuhmudira seem to be at each other's throats. I wonder what this will mean for the refugees of Yanshi."

Town Crier tells you, "Some adventurers came back from the stronghold northwest of Mount Esper the other day -- they reported that it'd gotten much more difficult. Something about new monsters moving in! They were going to check two other dungeons, but I don't remember which ones."

Town Crier tells you, "Rumors persist that the Harbinger is reforming much more quickly. If it's true what more could we possibly face. We have the Renegade Tumeroks, the Gotrok Lugians, Aerbax, Olthoi and now a thing that is an elemental force. It's good to see that Nuhmudira is doing something about it over there. Of course... it would be better if she didn't have a Sclavus speaking for her."

Town Crier tells you, "In the Halls of Lost Light the Guardian has stirred and the sword glows brighter now than ever. Perhaps this is an omen of things to come. Perhaps it is a sign that even in this growing darkness there is still hope."

Town Crier tells you, "I can't wait until I have done enough for Candeth Keep to be recognized as a founder. I hear the shops there are exquisite!"

Town Crier tells you, "I've heard tell that High Queen Elysa is forming an expedition to enter the tunnels deep beneath Asheron's Island. I wonder if there is any truth to it."

Town Crier tells you, "I was worried when the Olthoi first began to congregate in the north, but now they have twisted the land into their own! This can only mean bad things for us."

I think she did, correct me if I am wrong but didn't she threaten him once. Not to mention the crunching noises in the night."

Luckily, she had recently registered at one of Nuhmudira's new Lifestones, but it was back on Marae Lassel. She had a long trip back."

Town Crier tells you, "With the new creatures that have taken over the Direlands, the Tumeroks out there have been fortifying their holdings. Be careful if you go to visit them, though - these are NOT the friendly kind of Tumerok. Rumor mongers in Dryreach, Stonehold, and Fort Tethana have more information."

Town Crier tells you, "The migration of creatures seems to have settled down a bit. I went hunting the other day and found that one monster I never could kill readily was easier to defeat. Yet another, that I always thought was all too easy to hunt, killed me. Dead. I wanted to laugh but it hurt too much with my lungs ripped out."

Town Crier tells you, "I've noticed that the creatures all over Dereth seem to be on the move, almost as though they are trying to get back to where they once lived. Wonder if they'll get there?"

ToTown Crier tells you, "Another one of Nuhmudira's students is in a tower in Arwic's walls."

Town Crier tells you, "The valley to the northeast of the Obsidian Plains seems to be inhabited by the most vile creatures of their race. I wouldn't travel through there without many of my closest and most able friends around."

From The Hall of the Tusker King

Town Crier tells you, "Students of Nuhmudira are in some of the towns. Humans, Tumeroks and Lugians, learning and working peacefully together... Imagine that!"

Town Crier tells you, "Every year it's the same thing. The first snowfall brings those animated snowballs down from the mountains. My brother's wife's sister's cousin said they can't be trusted. Says they threw him out of his own house the other night and were freezing the place over when they happened across his hearth and melted clean away. Good thing he had a roaring fire going! To be fair though, I hear it's mostly the two-headed ones that are causing all the trouble."

She showed me the scars and said "Ursuin Slasher," and something about a leathercrafter at Bandit Castle, but by then I wasn't listening."

Town Crier tells you, "News! The floating Shadow Spires that burst from the depths of the earth last month still float passively. Mages report that when the earth quakes, the currents of magic that run through the land shift a little more towards them."

Town Crier tells you, "News! Experienced adventurers report being ripped from their daily activity and magically brought to the howling Shadow Spires. There they have been questioned by some unseen inquisitor."

Town Crier tells you, "High-ranking monarchs have been approached by an unknown presence and subjected to grueling tests on a distant island.  Apparently this entity, whatever it is, does not think much of our monarchs.  Might this have something to do with the frightful apparition in the lightning flashes?"

Town Crier tells you, "The shadow spires have appeared in the vicinity of these towns:  Eastham, Cragstone, Tufa, Khayyaban, Tou Tou, and Sawato.  There are rumors of a few others out in the wilderness, all just as quiet and inactive.  What purpose they serve or will serve is not yet known, though some have been said to have been within them."

Some even say they are empty. Magical experts have determined that it is unlikely that the strange spires pose any immediate threat."

Town Crier tells you, "News! Sages remain baffled by the dark crystalline shards some adventurers have recovered from the Shadows which have overrun the wilderness. Surely they will discover a use for them in time."

Town Crier tells you, "News! Spring has come to Dereth. The land so recently blighted by the work of the Gelidite cult of Frore has become overrun with wildflowers and bees. Many travelers report being attacked by rabbits attempting to protect their new litters."

Town Crier tells you, "News! A lurking sense of evil has permeated the entire land. Seers and madmen have reported seeing menacing forms during foul weather, and children from Qalaba'r to Stonehold have been plagued by nightmares. The Drudges seem more anxious than usual."

Town Crier tells you, "News! Explorers searching the most remote areas of Dereth have discovered several new underground complexes, apparently dating back to the Empyrean Age of Lore. Rumors that these may be storehouses for archaic weapons are crossing the length and breadth of the land."

Town Crier tells you, "The Great Work of the Gelidite Cult has been shattered by intrepid explorers! With this fiendish magical artifact destroyed, the world has warmed again, and the snows have receded. I also accept money, if you want more news."

Town Crier tells you, "The Hoary Mattekar that were discovered in the mountains north of Neydissa Castle appear to have been hunted to extinction by overzealous adventurers. Who knows if Dereth shall see the likes of those magnificent creatures again?"

Town Crier tells you, "Sir Joffre Tremblant's adventuring party has gone missing. The group was last seen heading north from Arwic."

Town Crier tells you, "An unexpected chill has brought snow and ice to much of Dereth. No one knows what has brought this sudden chill upon us. The word is to be wary of the snowmen. There're rumors of bigger ones too!"

Town Crier tells you, "Some people claim that the sun has grown slightly dimmer, but no one has confirmed this for sure. Some say it has contributed to the sudden chill. I also accept money, if you want more news."

Town Crier tells you, "New robes available at some tailors! Wear yours for special occasions or as a fashion statement!"

Town Crier tells you, "This is the time when we Aluvians are celebrating the Solstice, a time of lights and drinking and very good cheer. Join me in wishing Aluvians everywhere a fine and wonderful Solstice! Nothing is better at a time like this than a good drink and a fine apple pie."

Town Crier tells you, "There is a season in the Naqut, back in Ispar, during which the winds gust constantly, and sandstorms cover the land, blotting out much of the light. It is called the Night Feast, during which we pray for fortune in the coming year, cook food with fine spices like cinnamon and oregano, and Feast the night away!"
