Grenades!
A report from Lateknighter of SC: "Talk
with the alchy in Xara. Buy the new book and it tells you what oils to add
to the new Phials. Phials can be bought at the same NPC. Add Bloodseeker Oil
to Platinum Phial for Imperil. I had a 38% at 375 buffed alchy skill. The
grenades are 375 alchy to weild ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?! Tried a platinum
phial with an Obsidian Golem and it resisted."

Bobo Update!
Ekime of WE reports: "Bobo's quest is
much the same, but Bobo himself is sick now. He uses Mudmouth to speak.
Also, there's a new smaller monkey in the "staging room" just before Mowen.
Otherwise no real updates. =/ Love the site =)"
Oolutanga, the Tusker
King tells you, "Oolutanga so tired..."
Mudmouth tells you, "Go and prove your valor to our King by beating his most
valued warrior to a pulp."
Grunter tells you, "Hullo big-big. I here to tell you
about lady trying to help Bobo. She and Tusker Redeemers hiding in Tusker
Empro... Empromi... Enpor... volcano."
Grunter tells you, "Hurry big-big we need your help. Bobo sick and Mudmouth
is BAD."
Grunter tells you, "Bobo used to teach me things. He say I his smart little
fur-ball. Now Mudmouth won't let me talk to him. Please... help my friend
Bobo."
Mowen Udaun is incinerated by your assault!
Mudmouth tells you, "Congratulations, you have bested
the hero of the tusker people, etcetera, etcetera. Here is your severed
paw."
Mudmouth gives you Fabled Tusker Paw.
Mudmouth tells you, "You now have access to the Temple
of Wishing for three days only."
Kalazar of SC reports: "I went to Bobo and found Mudmouth, a lady
tusker advisor, and the tusker king to be sick. Mudmouth sends to you the
heros chamber where you go into portal to fight Mowen. In there is a new
Tusker Grunt (sorry forgot SS). He says mudmouth is not good, and sent me to
volcano. Once at the bottom, Jilna Fullgood told me about lacuna, and plants
outside. I found jungle orchids that spawned around 6 tuskers, and 2 virindi
and a couple worshippers, I cleared 4 different orchids, no special loot,
and the portal that spawned from each orchid couldn't be accessed by
players, "14:45:49 Players may not interact with that portal." Possibly a
live event.

A report from Shamrock of LC: "Hi Maggie : )
Was reading the submissions for June's new patch and decided to check out
the "Jungle Orchids." Instead of heading to Bobo/Mudmouth, I went directly
to the volcano and found "Jilna" and got the message about "Jungle Orchids"
being around the "Tusker Lacuna". So I headed to that area and doing a
bracket search, I found several orchids that had spawned. (I had been there
patch night but never saw one so guessing you have to speak to Jilna for
them to spawn?) Once you click on an Orchid, a portal spawns and 5 critters:
Virindi Subjugator, Virindi Consul, Restrained Tusker, Controlled Tusker,
and an Assailer. Once all critters are dead, the orchid disappears. The
portal disappears moments after spawned.
The Jungle Orchard withers as a portal
opens on top of it. The portal disgorges a number of creatures and fades.
After killing about 3-4 orchids I thought, hmmm this is sorta useless. Then
around the 6th one, on an Assailer from the spawn was an Orchid flower in
its loot inventory. I ended up with 5 flowers. So then headed to "Seer
Kleeoh" (Same npc you see for BoBo flagging in the little hut) at 2.5S,
86.5E. On handing Kleeoh one of the Flowers, here is the message I got:
Kleeoh tells you, "Dis for Kleeoh? Dis be a beautiful
flower, no
Kleeoh, pauses a moment and stares into you with her piercing dark eyes.
Kleeoh tells you, "Haha, you not here to do me evil. You want someting I
think..."
Kleeoh smiles at you for a moment.
Kleeoh tells you, "You know about dis flower? Dis be a
Death Blossom. Very beautiful, very dangerous!"
Kleeoh tells you, "You breath too much of it's perfume and you go all weak
like a baby. You no move for hours you so tired."
Kleeoh tells you, "Now, you fool enough to lick a petal and you be dead
before your head touch ground. Very powerful poison!"
Kleeoh tells you, "Travel to da Chapel of Xi Ru on the last Vesayen island.
Dere overlookin da chapel above the waterfall be a huge tree all glowin with
da power of life
Kleeoh tells you, "You collect da water lily that grow by the base of dat
tree. It be called King's Crown and be the only cure I know of for da Death
Blossom sleep."
Kleeoh tells you, "Go now child. Bring da King's Crown back to Jilna. She
know what to do.
As per Seer Kleeoh's instructions, I headed
to the Chapel Xi Ru, portaled to Sanctuary and then ran to 83.4S, 89.8E
(take the portal device on beach). Worked my way up the numerous mountains
and finally ended up at the lake with the tree in the middle (89.9S 87.3E).
Head to the platform the tree is on and pick up "King's Crown." It looks
like a lily pad and is in the water on the platform. If you try to pick up
another you get:
You have solved this quest too recently!
You may complete this quest again in 11d 23h 59m 52s
Headed back Nanner Isle to "Jilna" in the volcano and turned in the "King's
Crown". Upon handing her the "Kings Crown," I got the message below:
Jilna Fullgood tells you, "Kleeoh says this will help Oolutanga?"
Jilna Fullgood tells you, "Thank you! Oh, thank you! I can't wait to see
that Mudmouth squirm when Oolutanga pounds him with his stone hand."
Jilna Fullgood tells you, "I think we can get some of this King's Crown into
his next meal of mashed nanners. It may take several tries though. Mudmouth
is very suspicious and trusts no one."
Jilna Fullgood tells you, "Take this as a reward for all your help."
You've earned 41,346,376
experience.
Jilna Fullgood tells you, "We may need more Kings Crown in the next few
weeks if we fail to get this to Oolutanga. Perhaps you could gather more
then. Thank you!"
Now I'm off to see if I can get thru the
Jungle Orchid Portal that spawns from clicking one. Will let you know : )

Monouga Slayer Atlatl!
Thanks to Bartz of HG: "From Fort Teth run to 9.8S, 81.0W to a burrowed hole
in the ground. Going down. Aat the T take right for easy, middle for hard,
left for hellish. At another intersection go left door to the summoning bell
[note found next to bell below], then back track taking the other door to
the summoning pit. You must ring the bell to summon a monouga, and
apparently from that time you have one hour to kill it. Once dead take a
rib. There are 9 that drop on a 7 day timer. Give the rib to a ivory crafter
for a Monouga Slayer Atlatl."
Instructions for Care and Feeding of Monougas
1.DO NOT go into the monouga's cavern or it will eat you.
2.Ring bell.
3.Watch attendant drudge hurl food into pit.
4.Leave
Diverging from these instructions will result in great pain.
(Note for the more intelligent drudges - the reason we must feed the
monougas this way is that, for security purposes, we do not have a stable
portal set up from our outposts to the breeding pit. The bells trigger a
portal summoning on both the monouga to be fed as well as the trained
attendant drudge. In an hour, a latent recall occurs, bringing the monouga
back. In this way, we maximize security of the breeding pit.
