New Factions!
Count Monte Cristo of LC reports: "Hi Maggie, Count Monte Cristo here. I've just recently done one of the new quests which are located on the outskirts of the graveyard and I've included 3 of the tomes that you get from the quests. It looks to me as if there will be three new factions to join during this current story Arc: The Eldrytch Web, The Celestial Hand and The Radiant Blood. Each each of the factions has their own tomes telling you that each faction has their own agenda. These tomes are Canon of the Eldrytch Web, Principles of the Celestial Hand and Tenets of The Radiant Blood. Each faction also has their own leader. Two of these leaders are very well known in the AC lore; Nuhmudira is leader of the Radiant Blood and Ben Ten leads The Celestial Hand. The leader of the Eldrytch Web is currently unknown since their leader wasn't named in their tome. I have included the texts of the three tomes from each of the three new factions. I hope some people will get some joy while reading them, as I have when I read them :).

Hey Maggie, Kalazar of SC here.

First I talked with Jondor Torgren of Zaikhal; he's in a blue robe to the left of the scroll shop. He sent me to the Graveyard to complete 3 tasks for 3 people, to the N, E, and W, so off I went. I went down into the north pit, and killed the large rat who dropped a key, and then opened the chest. Inside was a sceptre that I turned in for a letter to one of the new 3 society fellows in Ayan. Next I went over to the East pit at 63.3S 42.3W. Kill the Blight Lictor (level 130 rev), loot the trophy then hand it to the NPC for the same reward as before. Then to 65.9S 45.5W for the west. You talk to the NPC first to get flagged to kill 8 blight ghosts. I then talked to the NPC again and got my 3rd letter.

I then recalled to ayan and looked for the 3 recruiters. Joku Shunja above the armorer, give her the green letter. Vierana du Canamorra below the healer, give him the red letter. Qurakh al-Taal beside the town crier, give him the purple one. They all 3 said they're not looking for new members right now, but may in the future....so some interesting choices to be made ahead. Return to Jondor Torgren of Zaikhal and give him the 3 books for some more experience.

New Quest - Ghost Slayer Weapons!
Sergeant Stab of SC reports: "Hey Maggie, We just ran a new GY quest to get new Ghost Slayer weapons! Here's a brief write-up and some screenies to get you started.

Note: You will need someone with lockpick to get through several spots in here.

1.) Get flagged by running from the graveyard recall drop to an outcropping on the cliff @ 65.1S, 43.7W

2.) Once flagged, head to the Mohire Armory portal (160+), located in a bunker @ 64.8S, 44.2W

3.) Basically, once inside, the goal is to work your way down and find 10 Jester's Markers. It's kind of a maze to get around, so you'll have to figure it out with your group. The first 8 are in the first dungeon, and the last two are in the "Armory" portal (near the bottom of the dungeon). Once you have found all 10 markers, a marker will appear in your pack. This is your clue that you're almost done.

4.) Near the bottom, you will find a "Forges" portal. Inside here you will encounter the "Forge Golem". Kill the golem and loot a key from him.

5.) Just around the corner is a "Forge Vault (chest). Loot the chest to get an ingot.

6.) Nearby you will find Hummel the Smith. He is a vendor. Talk to him and purchase the weapon of your choice with your ingot.

7.) Head back to GY and find the randomly spawning Jester. Hand him your Marker to receive XP and a "Secret Keeper" title.

Spectral Binding Stone

New Title - Secret Keeper!

Kalazar of SC reports: "Inside the new Graveyard Armory dungeon there are Jester Markers (10) you have to find all 10 then return to the Jester for a title and xp. Title is Secret Keeper, and at level 260 I got 131 mil. I suggest getting a shield and chugs/kits or some type of frost prot/bane rare. The cold damage in there is insane. (Thanks to Tonaple of SC for having the keys and the time to help with this)"

New Quest - Moarsman Temple Tou Tou!
Yan Cancook of LC reports: "Hiya Maggie, I visited Tou Tou today and on my way along the coast (I enjoy the scenic route) I came across one of the new Moarsman Temples that Release Notes hinted were out there [28.9S, 92.6E]. It was neat, and it was full of an incredible amount of new Tainted Moarsmen. I ran right to Tou-Tou to get lifestoned because I anticipated some difficult fights. They weren't high level compared to most people, but to a level 29 Adventurer they could have been trouble.

Sure enough, I found a soldier named Guard Taizo who sent me on my way to clear everyone out.

Guard Taizo tells you, "Down on the beach, hostile moarsmen have created their own little fort."
Guard Taizo tells you, "If you would go and destroy the inhabitants, it would help the town greatly."

It was a long fight going it alone. I had to take many breaks because, while they didn't pose much of a threat, dodging dozens of Moarsmen really wears you out fast. There were many of them, beyond count. Rough math puts it at... 14 to 20 outside, and then numerous groups of three inside. Four groups on the upper level and then nine or ten on the bottom making it about 24. It took me a very long time, but I was never surprised by any unfortunate respawns to set me back.

Coral Encrusted Chest

When I was done killing them all, four "Coral Encrusted Chests" appeared. Inside were various okay loot items with a quest item: Small Tainted Egg. The chests have a 6 Day timer on them. It's a good bet that the other three temples out there have bigger eggs and bigger Moarsmen in them. I'm going to try to hunt them down for you, all the same. Until next time!"

Guard Taizo tells you, "Are the moarsmen slain? Give to me their token and I will reward you."
You've earned 393,691 experience.
You give Guard Taizo Small Tainted Egg.

Guard Taizo tells you, "You have found an egg within the keep? Return to me in the span of a week - I would expect for things to resume being dangerous then."

Guard Taizo tells you, "I have no more news about threats fro moarsmen. Embody patience - I am sure that at some point the attacks will resume."

Creeping Reaper, from the Knights Reborn of HG reports: "The guard's in the pub where you start the Jojii quest, and facing NNW. The fort's WSW again. This time they're rather smaller Moarsmen, only lvl 39. Once I'd killed 30 or so of them (rather than 118 in the Ayan fort) and run upstairs, I found a single chest, then saw another one spawn. There may be a small risk of people getting their feet stuck in a chest this way, but Portal Recall is your friend anyway. This time it's a Small Tainted Egg and the reward's a lot smaller. I tried taking it to Guard Bey in Ayan first, but he didn't know what to do with it.

Timer is 6 days, and is on opening the chest at Tou-Tou, whereas the Ayan fort timer is on looting the egg. This means at Tou-Tou people questing in groups should be careful not to open a chest someone else has already looted."

Moarsmen Temple East Watch!
Acheron's Apprentice of MT reports: "Just found another Moarsmen temple out side of East Watch. Tainted Grimy Moarsman are all in it. Coords are 92.7, 42.4. Have to clear the temple and the chest spawns, nothing of any use in it, and has another egg in it.  Give it to Francisco the Hunter at 90.7, 43.0.

Francisco the Hunter tells you, "Hail, traveler. Do you want to know something?"
Francisco the Hunter tells you, "There's moarsmen down there on the beach - yes, moarsmen, even in this cold!"
Francisco the Hunter tells you, "They're unnatural, these moarsmen are. I've seen a bit in my time."
Francisco the Hunter tells you, "I'm sure the captain of this outpost wouldn't complain if you went and wiped out the population of that den of moarsmen. Eventually, those things are going to get hostile and attack us up here."

You give Francisco the Hunter Huge Tainted Egg.
Francisco the Hunter tells you, "So this is the egg of one of those things. See how it is corrupted, as compared to a normal moarsman egg. Whatever's driving the moarsmen to shore is not benevolent."
You've earned 28,092,330 experience [Level 176].

Sweet Little Sister of HG reports: "Argh. Rough. It's on the north side of the little island / iceberg in the channel north of Eastwatch, beyond a lot of Viamontian Hands, Ruschk, Fiun, Eaters and the like, they're bigger (lvl 165, 1,900 health, 420,000xp). There are, to quote the Battle of Britain, 'swarms of the sods'; they regenerate fast and other stuff spawns all around the fort. The 143-point critical hit didn't help much either.

After much fighting, dying and running back, we got inside. Well, maybe you can count them in the radar in the screenshot, but we couldn't while it was crawling around and two of us couldn't even move with the amount of lag they were generating. I thinned them out a bit, then bailed.

I'm told the xp reward caps at 24M. The times on those screenshots from talking to the hunter on the clifftop to getting inside and starting to kill the ones downstairs span two and a half hours.

Moarsmen Temple Ayan!
Hi Maggie. A couple of days after the patch, but here's the fort at Ayan pretty much as shown in the teaser pic.

I found a guard (59.8S, 88.2W) staring out towards the coast and thought he was new so had a chat and he asked me to ... well, bring back anything of note, as in the Academy quest. He's not quite facing the fort, but I spotted it through the trees. Boonwillow was there before me, hunting them for Moarsmuck for brewing. In Dereth, being besieged by the creature from the black lagoon and its thousand cousins just means beer!

Guard Bey tells you, "Would you like to do us a favor, sir? There is a fortress of moarsmen down near the festival stone. I think they may potentially pose a threat to the town, unless we strike first. If you find anything of interest there, come back and give it to me."

The fort's incredibly simple (60.9S, 89.8W), a shape that'll look familiar to Blackmire and Burun King run fans inside an incomplete ring of crystals. Inside there's a set of steps down from the far side of the room. The spawn numbers are huge (see radar in screenshots), and an occasional debuff comes in from randoms outside. The things themselves aren't too bad, and they're worth 44,500 or so each. Once they've all been burned up, a cluster of chests spawns in the alcove at the top of the steps. Each once contains a tainted egg. I forget the timer but you can see the message from when I tried to grab another. The egg goes back to the guard for an xp reward, and that's that.

Extra Large Tainted Egg

The xp reward was the same for levels 111 through 172 but much smaller for a thirty-something. It appears to be a percentage of a level, capped at the 20.8M mark, whatever level that is. He said it was about 1M total to level, making his reward 30% or 33% or so of a level, and the cap effective at whatever level costs about 62M xp.

I haven't checked whether the timer is for each temple or for all temples yet. I'll have to go and find another and try that.
