Lieutenant Durgan tells you, "Greetings, friend.
Though we do not claim independence...yet...we still must look after our
own concerns, since Elysa Strathelar won't. At times, we look to
outsiders for aid. Are you willing to be that aid we seek?"
The lieutenant shrugs his shoulders.
Lieutenant Durgan tells you, "I am Commander
Margyle's intelligence chief, and I have a very vexing problem. It seems
that Elysa sent her army in our direction, no doubt to put us directly
under her heel again. A Viamontian force also made passage from Marae
Lassel, and all projections indicated that they would fight each other
north of here, near the coast."
Lieutenant Durgan tells you, "No matter who won, we would have gained an
advantage. But what I find odd is this..."
Lieutenant Durgan tells you, "There was also word of a Renegade Tumerok
band mobilizing to engage the other two forces. The three armies
apparently encamped and parlayed, but there is no word from any of the
forces after that. No army can keep themselves so hidden, especially not
on our territory."
Lieutenant Durgan tells you, "I want to know what happened to those
three armies, and I will reward you to tell me. If you are truly
helpful, I may discuss what the future holds for beloved Tethana.

favor for me. I am seeking knowledge on the smithing of unusual armors in
this world, and have heard tell of something called "Shadow Armor" that is
made using crystal combined with steel. I would like to learn more of this
method of armor creation."
Iian di Alduressa tells you, "I have drafted a letter asking for assistance
from a Gharu'ndim Master Armorer by the name of Jibril ibn Rashid, who
resides near a Life Stone outside of Al-Jalima. Alas, my work here for the
Knights keeps me from making such a long journey to deliver this letter
myself."

With these two samples, I can begin to study the process of alloying these
materials into the components for armor."

and efforts."

When I talked to Iian again after…..
Iian di Alduressa tells you, "Return to me in a month
or so, with the Gems needed for crafting Shadow Armors, and I should be able
to craft Alduressa Shadow Armor pieces for you."
Timer unknown. It might be a one time only quest – until the whole process
is completed. Doesn’t seem to be a level requirement that I know of yet. Got
the initial letter with my level 44 toon. Didn’t have time to finish it with
him. The quest took 30 minutes with 3 people going thru the process with me
taking SS’s, so probably only about a 20 min quest solo with using all the
town portal shortcuts.
