Old dungeon entry: 76.6S, 28.1E
New coords take you directly into the city: 75.7S, 28.2E

Thrud the Barbarian of SC reports:

As soon as the worlds came up I trucked out to the Lugian Fortess and started the quest for the Arm, Mind, Heart. There are now 2 portals outside of the fortress; the old one still takes you inside the catacombs and there is a new one just down the valley that will take you right into the courtyard of the fortress. Of course what skilled warrior wouldn't like the challenge of fighting their way to the end.

At the end you find the Lugian Commander is already there and waiting for you, with no need to go and talk to Auritus for the book and to start the quest. The commander will drop the Berk, as far as I know at 100% every time. No need to do this 5-6 times just to get it anymore.

After that you can begin investigating the 3 camp sites. The coords are still the same but the Master's are there without having to wait for them to spawn. Didn't stick around to see the times on them, sorry. The drop rate on the Mace, Shield and Pauldren are at 100%, unless this is a but they messed up on.

If you still have and use the old versions of the Arm, Mind, and Heart you can also just simply turn those items into Auritus and he will upgrade them for you, no charge. Or you can enjoy the whole quest and go get the new ones and keep the old versions to show that you are that darn old.

Solo fistblade of HG reports that if you fail when imbuing using Calm Strength, etc., you will not destroy the item and you no longer have to wait to try again. He also notes, "Also, it isn't possible to imbue the spear w\o it's being trained, but the sleeves (axe skill check) can be imbued even if it's untrained... *shrug*."

There is a 1 week timer on the items looted from the commanders.

Fred in the Head of LC sends this updated report: "The Arm, Mind, Heart quest is truely streamlined like Turbine said now.

I ran over to the master of the hunt(First Spawn) today, and it seems as though, instead of having to run through the quest a bunch of times to get the items you want...the master is on about a 5 minute spawn. Before you'd only get to kill 1 master of the hunt per quest. Great update! Now everyone can enjoy the idea of not having to get their quest jumped :P"

Aurutis gives you Lugian Scout Report.
Aurutis tells you, "Our scouts have compiled information as to the whereabouts of the raiders' encampments into this report. You may find it useful in retrieving our totems. Kifandel the Imbuer now carries the Book of the Arm, Mind, and Heart, which records the words of Lauriagne, our first Matriarch. Read her words you will understand why the recovery of our totems is of the utmost importance to us."
Aurutis tells you, "Last, I've recently made some improvements to the Sleeves of Inexhaustibility, the Staff of Clarity, and the Spear of Purity. If you would like to have one of these items, I will gladly improve it."

Master Ulkas tells you, "Greetings, soft one. I am Ulkas, Master smith of Linvak Tukal."
Master Ulkas tells you, "The Gotrok looted the donjon of Linvak, taking all they could carry. Manyof the items have not true value, but some are quite dangerous in the wrong hands..."
Master Ulkas tells you, "My skill have grown over the past few years. If I made an item for you in the past, I would be happy to improve it for you."

You give Aurutis Blade of the Heart.
Aurutis gives you Spear of the Heart.

Aurutis tells you, "Do you ever wonder why we have a blade as our totem of the heart? My brother who believe in the Path of the Heart preach this to the uninitiated, "Trust your heart like you would trust your blade. Use it in the cause of righteousness and none can withstand you. Leave it unguarded and you shall know the final sorrow." I thank you for mending this breach in our heritage. One day maybe we can take the fight to these outcasts. To show our thanks, the Tukal Elders have authorized me to have this spear made by some of our most talented crafters. It is not quite ready to wield, but if you come across one of my gem-crafting brethern who have been sent to the Isparian Arrival points, you may find this item to be of great value to you."

You allow Aurutis to examine you Spear of the Heart.
Aurutis tells you, "No, this is your reward. Go find one of the Gem Sellers. I believe there were three dispatched, each one to a different Isparian Arrival point. They can help you with this."

You give Aurutis Sceptre of the Mind.
Aurutis gives you Staff of the Mind.

Aurutis tells you, "My people are strong. But in the immortal words of General Casarius, "Strength alone cannot win me this war. My mind must tell me where to strike." Returning the Sceptre of the Mind brings peace to many of our kin who follow the way of the Mind. The Tukal Elders have autorized me to have a Staff formed by some of our most talented crafters. I present you with this Staff of the Mind. It cannot be used yet, but if you come across one of the emissaries we sent to the Isparian Arrival points, you may be pleasantly surprised."

You give Aurutis Cloth of the Arm.
Aurutis tells you, "My brethern of the Arm will be very glad to see this returned. Tukal has a debt to you, little Isparian. The Tukal Elders have authorized me to have sleeves fashioned from some of our most talented crafters. Here, take these Sleeves of the Arm. While they are not quite suitable for use yet, if you can find one of our emissaries we sent to the Isparian Arrival points, they may have soemthing of use for you."
Aurutis gives you Sleeves of the Arm.

A Reign of Stone finally brought to life the amazing Lugian city of Linvak Tukal! Speak to Aurutis, one of the Lugian occupants to receive the text to begin the quest: Arm, Mind, Heart

The city of Linvak Tukal (77.2S, 28.5E) can be accessed through a dungeon at 76.7S, 28.0E -- a short run from Qalaba'r.

Map: Linvak Tukal Entry

Aurutis tells you, "The raiders are striking hard now. They are fearful of our efforts to reach out to the Isparians. We have lost three of our most sacred totems due to their depredations. The Cloth of the Arm, the Scepter of the Mind, and the Blade of the Heart must be found to ensure the continued stability of Linvak Tukal."

Aurutis tells you, "Here, you may find this helpful in retrieving our totems. We have reports of a Raider Commander trapped in the Linvak Tukal Entryway. We can only hope that if you find him, you will find the totems. Strength. Focus. Purity."

Lugian Armor & Bastion of Tukal
Kill the Lugian Commander at the end of the Linval Tukal dungeon for Lugian Amor.  (He doesn't always drop one. Rumored to be 1 out of 3.) You'll fight your way through Obeloths, Tiatus, Raiders and Extas Lugians.

"The Lugians seem to lose their courage after the death of their commander. Some of them fall back to regroup with their second in command, the Master of the Hunt."

You can also trade the Lugian Armor in to Master Ulkas, another resident of the Lugian city, for the Bastion of Tukal (same AL, a little heavier, and with a new nifty crested look). When you kill the first Commander, you trigger the spawn of a Lugian Camp outside the city. Killing each Commander triggers each successive spawn throughout the quest. The spawns are on a 1 hour timer (and usually heavily camped!).

Master of the Hunt
Ten minutes after the death of the first Commander, the Master of the Hunt spawns with his Lieutenant at
80.6S 37.7E. When the Master spawns, a few of the the Mattekars will also spawn around him! Kill the Master Of The Hunt (Level 40) and his Lieutenant. The Cloth of the Arm (no drop), the first Lugian artifact, is dropped by the Lieutenant. A Lugian Scepter is dropped by Master Of The Hunt.

Tip: If you're with a group, don't kill the Commander right away. The Lieutenant will continue spawn and everyone in your group who needs one can get a Cloth of the Arm. (Thanks Maddy!)

"The Lugians become disheartened at the fall of their leader! Many of them run for the hills to their next encampment..."

Sleeves of Inexhastability
To make Sleeves of Inexhaustability, give Aurutis the Cloth of the Arm. He'll give you Sleeves of the Arm in exchange. Infuse the Sleeves of the Arm with Calm Strength from
Oneros in Nanto for Sleeves of Inexhautability. Once infused, this item can be given away.

NOTE: This step has a Mana Conversion Mastery skill check.

Scepter of Might
The Lugian Scepter can be exchanged for the Scepter of Might from Master Ulkas.

The 2nd Camp
After the death of the Master of the Hunt, another Lugian Camp spawns at 87.1S, 27.0E ten minutes later.

Again there will be a Commander and a Lieutenant to fight. Make sure the Lieutenant has spawned before you kill the Commander, or else you'll be out of luck. The Lieutenant drops the 2nd Lugian Artifact mentioned in the text: The Scepter of the Mind (no drop). The Commander drops the Lugian Crest.

"The Lugians seem to lose their courage after the death of their commander. Frantic, they fall back to their last staging ground."

Staff of Clarity
To make Staff of Clarity, again go to Aurutis and give him the Scepter of the Mind. He'll give you Staff of the Mind in exchange. Infuse the Staff of the Mind with Benevolent Calm from
Novedion in Rithwic (10.7N, 58.3E) for the Staff of Clarity. Once infused, this item can be given away.

NOTE: This step has a Spear Mastery skill check.

Crest of Kings
The Lugian Crest can be exchanged for the very cool Crest of Kings from Master Ulkas.

Final Lugian Camp
10 minutes after the death of the Commander at the previous camp, a final camp will spawn at 67.9S, 32.8E. The Lieutenant drops the final Lugian artifact: the Blade of the Heart. The Commander drops the Lugian Pauldron. The death of the final Commander triggers the spawn of the first Commander inside Linvak Tukal 10 minutes later.

"Infighting erupts among the Lugians as they see their leader's body collapse to the ground. Linvak Tukal is safe from the depredations of the Gotrok until another leader arises to unite them once again."

Spear of Purity
To make the Spear of Purity, give Aurutis the Blade of the Heart. He'll give you Spear of the Heart in exchange. Infuse the Spear of the Heart with Strong Benevolence from
Drawohan in Yaraq for the Spear of Purity. Once infused, this item can be given away.

NOTE: This step has an Axe Mastery skill check.

Helm of the Crag
The Lugian Pauldron can be exchanged for the stylish Helm of the Crag from Master Ulkas.

Additional Notes
Since the artifacts are no drop / no give, don't loot the corpses of the Lieutenants if you don't have the required skill to infuse them into the quest items. Bring along friends who have the required ability.

You are not required to have the skill specialized to infuse the items, but you must be at least trained. A skill of 250+ is recommended for the infusion; however, it is possible to make the item with a lower skill. If you fail the skill check, you will destroy the item! Have someone buff you first! The quest timer on the items is 24 hours, so if you fail, you can try again the next day.
