In early days, the Acid Axe quest was extremely popular! The Letter of Request, found next to a corpse on the road from Zaikhal to Glenden Wood, was flagged to always drop on death. Many a traveler paid their respects to the fallen messenger in their quest for an easy "death item!"

The messenger, sent by the Naqib of Suntik, sought to bring back help to fight off the Monougas which had invaded their small village atop a Zaikhal butte. Alas, his mission was unsuccessful. His corpse can be seen lying along the roadside at 26.9N, 7.7E, an arrow through his side. To shorten your journey, take the Maitland Settlement portal from Zaikhal at 12.7N, 1.7W which will exit at 25.5N, 6.7E, a short distance away.

Letter of Request
The Naqib of Suntik hereby requests all available mercenaries to assist in purging our lands of the fierce Monougas. Our stronghold, located at 16.2N x 4.4E is under siege and supplies are low. Monougas are climbing a ridge near 18.5N x 3.6E and following it to our village. We cannot hold out for long and our only hope is that this letter is found by a band of mercenaries with the will to help.

The Village of Suntik lies to the north of Zaikhal. As the letter instructs, you'll need to head around to approximately 18.5N, 3.6E to reach the top of the steep hill, then head back SE to the village at 16.2N, 4.4E. Monougas are everywhere! You'll encounter numerous Crude and Outcasts, up to Wild and Brutish. The surrounding area are home to Olthoi Drones and Workers, Shadow Children, Scrawed Grievvers and Drudge Lurkers, among other creatures.

The Acid Axe lies in the outstretched hand of a dead shopkeeper lying on the floor in one of the buildings. Young warriors often enjoy hunting on the ridge, earning experience while they avenge the fallen residents of Suntik.

The Acid Axe may be dropped and given and you can pick up more than one (approx. 5 minute spawn). It may also be turned in to an Ivory Crafter for an experience reward (one month timer on xp).
