During
The Slumbering
Giant event, the Temples of Forgetfulness and Enlightenment received new
gems. In addition to the
Skill
Sell-Back and
Skill Specialization, you can now redistribute points of your main
attributes. In addition, you'll now receive
A Note From
Ciandra when you enter either temple.
Combine a Gem of
Lowering from the Temple of Forgetfulness with a Gem of Raising from the Temple
of Enlightenment to create an Attribute Transfer Gem. Temples are restricted to
levels 25+.
You combine
the gems into an Attribute Transfer gem.
Use the gem to
redistribute your attribute points. There is a separate 2 week timer on each of
the gems.
If your stating
attribute was 10, it is already as low as it can go. When you try to use a gem,
you will receive this message:
Your innate level of
[Attribute] is already as low as it can be. You may
not reduce it any further.
Likewise, if your
starting skill was 100, you will not be able to raise it further. You can click
on your burden icon to see the character panel displaying your innate attributes
(your starting stats).
Ciandra's Note
indicates that certain armor or weapons will keep the gems from working. If
you're not at your min/max point already and your gem isn't working, try
removing your armor and weapons first and try again.
The Temple of Forgetfulness
The
Temple of Forgetfulness
(restricted to levels 25+) is found far to the north at 88.8N, 0.0. To reach it,
take the Far Horizon Cottages Settlement Portal from Cragstone at 26.2N, 46.3E.
You'll exit at 92.9N, 2.4W, a short run from the guardian who guards the
entrance.
To gain passage to the temple,
you must get past the Guardian. Double click on the stone head and you'll be
asked for the herb which corresponds to the spell word given. (For a list of
which herb matches which word of power, visit the
Magic Research
page or use the table below.)

Temple of Forgetfulness
The entry room is safe. From
there, you want to either stay to the left or stay to the right. You'll be
jumping down a few levels in order to reach the Inner Sanctum portal. The
left-most passage and the right-most passage will allow you to reach these
portals. The middle passages will lead to exit portals.
You'll be making a series of
small jumps and fighting
Golems. The first ledge has two
Copper Golems waiting below. After jumping
and killing the golems, you'll reach another ledge with two
Iron Golems below.
The final ledge has two
Obsidian Golems. They guard the portal to the Inner
Sanctum.
The Inner Sanctum is safe.
The main room contains pillars with red gems on top.
Double click on a gem to add it to your inventory.
The Temple of
Enlightenment
The
Temple of Enlightenment
(restricted to levels 25+) is found far to the south at
84.5S, 0.0.
To reach it, take the
Land Bridge Villas Portal from Qalaba'r at 74.8S, 17.8E.
You'll exit at 87.2S, 3.5E, a short

requires.

Sell Back quest
Skill Specialization quest
-----------------
From the
AC Community boards
When we initially
introduced the post-creation specialization quest in November, we limited the
number of credits that any character could invest into specialized skills to a
total of 50. Basically, this meant that post-creation specialization did not
give you access to any specilized skillsets that you could not normally select
at character creation. We instituted this limit because we like to start out
conservative -- we wanted to watch the effects of skill sellback on game balance
before allowing for more specialized characters. We did, however, discuss the
possibility of increaing this limit, or lifting it all together, sometime in the
future.
We were working on a small increase to the specialization credit limit for
February with the intention of increasing the limit for all characters, but
hadn't fully implemented this feature. For this reason, certain skillsets are
now possible that involve more than 50 specialized credits. Although this was
not intended behavior for January, we will not be taking the servers down to do
a special rollback of this bug in January because we don't want to penalize our
players with lost progress due to a rollback. Some characters may be able to
benefit from this bug slightly in January, but in February everyone will be able
to benefit equally from the changed dynamic. So don't panic if you see a new
template in the Marketplace -- you'll be able to do that yourself (if you choose
to) soon.

John
