Introduced during From the Darkness Born.

Bleeargh first appeared during the Mired Hearts event, presaging the Burun town attacks (see the Diplomat Title quest for details). Elusive during these initial encounters, Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord now appears more comfortable with the people of Ispar. He resides in Yanshi at 10.6S, 46.6E.

When you speak to him, he will ask you to collect 6 items of importance to the Mosswarts. When you return each of the 6 items to Bleeargh (7 day timers), he will give them back enhanced with additional properties. You will also receive a Mosswart Thanking Stone for each item returned. The Thanking Stones can be taken to any of the casinos and gambled for rewards, including previously retired Pack Dolls!

Each item returned to Bleeargh also corresponds to a different spell level for the King Toad Idol quest. For example, if you complete the quest for Kreerg's Spear, you will be able to learn Level I spells when you use the Carved Mosswart Statue. (See the King Toad Idol quest write-up for details).

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "Drudge gathering near humie town outside blackmire swamp near mosswart home of green mire. There we lose Spear of Kreerg to Drudges. You get back easy. Not far from there, in trees, Banderlings try to take back the hand of Vagurat. You get that easy too."
Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "You can help get necklace of Leerargh away from Burun. They steal old mosswart home and take necklace. Necklace most important to Mosswarts. You get easily. Not far from here in puddle swamp to south."

Part 1 - Kreerg's Spear

Drudge Camp - 30.8S, 74.1E
Creatures: Drudge Slinker, Sneaker, Prowler

The first item is simple to retrieve. Head to Shoushi and find a camp of Drudges guarding a chest by the river at 30.8S, 74.1E. A Prowler carries A Musty Key which opens the chest. Inside you'll find the Spear of Kreerg. Return it to Bleeargh for Kreerg's Spear and a Mosswart Thanking Stone.

Kreerg spear get broken. But still symbol to Mosswarts."

Bleeargh lifts his hand and licks his fingers. He smears a symbol on your forehead with a foul smelling paste.

Part 2 - Hand of Vagurat

Banderling Hovel - 32.0S, 72.8E (Levels 10+)
Map: Banderling Hovel
Creatures: Banderling Breeders, Guards and Raiders

The Banderling Hovel is also near Shoushi. Keep to the right inside the dungeon and you'll reach a pedestal with the Hand of Vagurat atop. Again, return the item to Bleeargh and you'll receive Vagurat's Hand and a Thanking Stone as your reward.

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "You find Hand of Vagurat! Vagurat very mean Banderling. Come to mosswart home and kill many in big wanga. Kreerg fight him and cut hand off. Then Kreerg take up hand of Vagurat and beat him with it. Vagurat die."
Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "Mosswart win big battle. Hand of Vagurat is symbol of victory and hope for mosswarts. You give me people hope. You need reward. Hand of Vagurat like humie mace. Meet Isparian that makes maces, he give me so I can give you."

Bleeargh bends down and drops his hand in a pile of nearby gunk. He smears two symbols on your cheeks. The stench of the gunk is overwhelming and stings your eyes.

Part 3 - Necklace of Leeargh

Mossy Cave - 14.1S, 46.0E (Levels 20+)
Map: Mossy Cave
Creatures: Burun Scamps

The Mossy Cave is just outside of Yanshi. From the drop, head in until you reach a T. Go left and look for a room with west and south exits. Take the west passage and head up the ramp to an open room (there will be another ramp down across from where you entered). Kill the Buruns until you find A Smelly Key (7 day timer). Head back the way you came and find the room with the west & south passages again. This time take the south passage. Make a right at the fork and follow until you reach a large room. Head to the opposite side of the room (up a ramp) and take the passage to the right. Inside An Old Chest is the Necklace of Leeargh.

Note: If you take the left passage you'll find a Runed Chest (no lockpick)!

Bleerargh wipes under his arms and kneels down scooping up some nearby gunk and foul smelling swamp water. He rubs the coarse grains of sand between his fingers and draws a symbol on each of your cheeks and along the bridge of your nose.

Part 4 - Eye of Drageerg

Dark Mosswart Hall - 74.2S, 83.6E (Levels 30+)
Map: Dark Mosswart Hall
Creatures: Mosswart Idolators, Fanatics, and Zealots, Shadow Lieutenants

The Dark Mosswart Halls is on the Vesayan Isles. To reach the dungeon, take the portal south of Mayoi at 65.8S, 84.9E. It exits at 72.5S, 81.3E, just a short run from the dungeon entrance! Navigating your way through is simple. Just hug the right wall and keep to the right all the way down. Your final turn will be a ramp heading up. The eye sits on a pedestal in a large open room, guarded by Mosswarts and Shadows. The exit portal is located down a passage behind the room with the eye.

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "You find Eye of Drageerg! Drageerg first shaman! He have much power, teach magic through stones first."
Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "He once teacher in fungal catacombs that big bugs keep Mosswarts in. When we escape he fight big bugs and lose one eye. When he die at age of old we keep his other eye to always watch for danger from big bugs. I meet Isparian who makes orb like eye I give you one now."

Bleeargh reaches into the folds of his loincloth and produces a dark toadstool. He mashes his hands together and then reaches out drawing a symbol on each of your cheeks along the bridge of your nose and on your chin.

Part 5 - Mire Witch Loincloth

Umbral Hall - 75.8S, 83.1E (Levels 30+)

Creatures: Mosswart Soul Trappers, Shadow Lieutenants, Idols, Dread Idols

Umbral Hall is just a short distance from the Dark Mosswart Hall. Be careful when you enter! Shadow Lieutenants will greet your arrival. Umbral Hall has 4 passages from the main room. Each has a series of portals to various towns. You'll also find a hall with a ramp leading up to a pit from each section. Jump into the pit and follow the passage to a large open room. The Mire Witch Loincloth spawns on the floor of the structure at the center of the room.

Room 1: Portals to Kara, Lin, Rithwic, Lytelthorpe, and Al Jalima
Room 2: Portals to Xarabydun, Nanto, Eastham, Plateau, Samsur
Room 3: Portals to Glenden Wood, Arwic, Sawato, MacNiall's, Khayyaban
Room 4: Portals to Al Arqas, Kryst, Uziz, Stonehold, Tou Tou

You give Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord Mire Witch Loincloth.
Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "You find Mire Witch Cloth! First Mire Witch to wear this cloth put magic into the cloth."

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "Mire witches very powerful. First Mosswarts to use the magic of item stronger. They make cloths to wear about waists that house great magic. This the first one. We keep it safe for much time then the dark cousins come and steal it. It no look like Mosswart lost to dark, care about cloth. You saved it! You need gift."

Bleeargh reaches down to the ground and scoops up some foul smelling mud with his right hand. He spits into the mud and mixes it with his left hand. He reaches out and paints a symbol on each of your cheeks, along the bridge of your nose, on your chin and across your forehead.

Part 6 - Mosswart War Paint

Watery Grotto - 23.8S , 47.2E (Levels 40+)

Text: Interview with the Mosswart

The Watery Grotto is found very near the Burun Camps outside of Yanshi. Go straight from the drop and head down. Keep right and down until you come to an open room with four passages exiting from each direction. Take the south passage and follow to the final room. The Mosswart War Paint rests atop a stone pedestal. As with all the rewards, return to Bleeargh in Yanshi to receive your Swamp Lord's War Paint and a 6th Thanking Stone.

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "Great Swamp Lord Bleeargh, that me, first make paints as decoration for Mosswart body. Later, with use of bestest magic for make item strong I add magic to paints. Now all powerful Mosswarts wear paints on body. They make good armor for Mosswart people.
Bleeargh happy to get paint back. Me make deal with big distobooter Isparian to make many paint. Bleearg teach you secrets."

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "You can no wear armor over paint or it smudge and be useless. You should not wear cloth either. Well, only Mire Witch loincloth maybe. Magic only come when you no where armor so me make sure that no armor be worn with war paint. You can now make wanga like Mosswart!"
Bleeargh pulls a toadstool and a dye seed from the folds of his loincloth. He reaches down and scoops up some foul smelling mud and crushes the mud, seed and toadstool together in his hands. He then spits into the concoction and mashes the wad of nasty gunk onto your face leaving a big mosswart sized hand print there.

--Gan-Zo's Den of Iniquity - 29.9S 49.3E  
Sho - between Yanshi & Sawato. Take the Li Po settlement portal in Yanshi at 10.3S, 45.7E. You'll exit at 31.8S, 46.6E.

Give the Casino operator a Thanking Stone to receive your prize! You even have a chance to win one of the previously retired Pack Dolls!!

You give Monty the Munificent Mosswart Thanking Stone.
Monty grumbles under his breath. You make out a few words, "...stupid Ketnan." He smiles and adjusts his vest.
Monty the Munificent tells you, "I don't know why I let myself get talked into this by Ketnan, but here goes. Round and round it goes!"
Monty the Munificent gives you Iron Pea

Visit the King Toad Idol quest for information on obtaining A Carved Mosswart Statue -- a mansion item allowing players to learn their spells.
