Town Crier tells you, "They say that a woman trafficking in dark magic lives inside that cottage and that she knows something of the King of the Tuskers. Seek her out if you dare."

Town Crier tells you, "I heard that a cottage mysteriously appeared on the second island of Aphus Lassel. Only those strong enough to survive there should go though."

During the Iron Coast event, Ned Cleversun's dreams came true with the opening of Tusker Island, also known as Aphus Lassel. The mad experience to be had was cause for joy, but there were yet other treasures to be revealed. With The Hall of the Tusker King new prizes became available from the mighty Bobo, King of the Tuskers. Retrieve the Fabled Tusker Paw from a challenging dungeon and exchange it for fabulous rewards!

To reach Aphus Lassel, look for a randomly spawning Tusker Temples to gain access. Or you can use one of the three permanent temples listed below. Another alternative is to hand a peppermint stick to the Blind Snowman for a chance at a Tusker Island Recall Gem. See the Snowglobe write-up for more information.

Permanent Tusker Temples:
10.5S, 65.6E - Levels 20 and lower
59.8N, 28.4E - Levels 20-40
0.7N, 68.1W - Levels 40+

To begin, find Kleeoh at 2.5S, 86.5E. Speaking with her flags you to enter the Behind the Waterfall portal at 8.7S, 85.7E (Levels 80+).

Kleeoh tells you, "Hello child, I sense dat you be looking for high adventure here where da tusker is king, no? Well let Kleeoh give you da help den. Why ya wonder I hid from ya when first ya came to da island?"
Kleeoh tells you, "Well that be simple, Oolutanga don't be liking those of us dat can think for ourselves. Who's Oolutanga?"
Kleeoh tells you, "You come to da island of da king Oolutanga. A refugee from da halls of a cruel virindi name by Aerbax."
Kleeoh tells you, "Oolutanga is a special tusker you see. Yes. He be powerful strong and powerful big and powerful smart. He be a tusker dat hates da virindi. He frees his people when he can."
Kleeoh tells you, "He has a magic about him. A magic dat comes from da hand dat he lost while fighting da former owner of dis island."
Kleeoh chortles.
Kleeoh tells you, "Dey say dat if a person get hold of da hand taken from Oolutanga dey can have three wishes granted. But only in da temple of da king."
Kleeoh tells you, "You be wanting to go dere den eh?"
Kleeoh tells you, "Well head to da waterfall on de interior of dis island and search for da entrance. Dere you find your way... Dere you find your way."
Kleeoh tells you, "Read da signs. Dey tell secrets dey do."

The dungeon is symmetrical in design. Generally, head east until you reach the final room with the portal to the Tusker Warriors Lair.

Ned Cleversun reports: "At the bottom of the first series of ramps is a stone tusker head. A ramp lead down from there to a large room. In that room are two Assailers and two Devastators and a few sycophants. Resist, resist, resist. Unreal. Good results ONLY when a vuln or imperil lands. Otherwise, no results. Bring a powerful mage with giant life magic. My 325 life magic skill allowed me to connect only rarely with vulns or imperils. Less than 1 time in 10. Meanwhile, Gossamer Flesh (Imperil 7) and other lev 7 vulns land on you."

Starfish of TD reports: "Inside are Assailers, Devestators, Annihilators (a few), Reapers, Obsidian Chittiks and Tusker Sycophants, not to mention dispel traps and Tuskers Gift traps. Many different sections on the way down."

Tusker Warriors Lair

From the entrance, head south, then make a right. Stay to your left until you head down a ramp. Continue left and follow the passage to the ramp. Head southeast through the columns to the next section.

Tusker Food Storage

This section is more dangerous with Obsidian Chitticks and Reapers in addition to the Tuskers.

Head north from the entrance, turn right, left, right, then two more rights to the room of tuskers. The portal to the next section is in this room.

Legend of the Tusker King

Again you'll be fighting Tusker and Humans. Keep heading down until you reach the final portal.

You'll also pass Crude Tusker Paintings with disturbing descriptions!

Throne of the Tusker King

Here is where King Bobo may be found. Speak to him and he portals you to a buff room with a portal to Arena of the Hero. Buff and bane first!!

Oolutanga, the Tusker King tells you, "I am OOlutanga the Tusker King. You are not worthy of speaking to me. You must fight and beat our hero Mowen Udaun before you can have my magic Tusker Paw.
Oolutanga, the Tusker King tells you, "Take your group and prepare for battle in the room where I will send you. Take your time and be ready to fight our champion who is very strong. Then go through the portal there and come to the isle of testing."
Oolutanga, the Tusker King tells you, "I will bring the other tuskers to watch you in your fight."
Oolutange the Tusker King tells you, "Win and I will reward you with my fabled Tusker paw, I will even make sure it has its magical powers courtesy of the other who speaks like you, Ketnan."
Oolutanga, the Tusker King tells you, "Lose and your body will rot in the arena. Sorry that is the way of things around here. Make sure you armor yourself well, because your magic will help very little against Mowen."

Arena of the Tusker Hero

Inside the Arena of the Hero you must battle Mowen Uduan, a level 900 Tusker. Starfish of TD recommends fire vulning, impen and fester. When he dies a portal will appear back to Bobo. Be ready!

When you return to Bobo, he will reward you with a paw and you may now enter the Idol of the Wishes portal.

Oolutanga, the Tusker King tells you, "Congratulations, you have bested the hero of the tusker people. So I,OOlutanga, giveyou now a reward so that you know that Oolutanga who is me, honors his word."

Oolutanga, the Tusker King tells you, "Now walk through the portal to the temple of wishing. But do it before three days pass or you will lose your right to enter there."

Give you paw to one of the skill shrines for a reward. The fighter who did the most damage to Mowen Uduan will get three wishes. When they use the first wish, they will receive the paw back with two fingers left, then one finger left. The others will receive one wish. 

See the table to the right for a list of reported rewards from each statue. At this time it is unknown what determines which possible reward for each skill statue you will receive.

NBK's Mage reports that the spell appears to be bugged since the January patch -- he gets the projectile mis-launches every time he uses it, not only in close quarters. His December research showed that it did Bludgeoning Damage. It's like a wall spell, 4 rings 2 levels, and seems to be inline with a 40-80 spell.

Big Bert of FF comments that Tusker Skin (+200 AL) surpasses Brogard's Defiance (+220 AL) and can lower the AL by 20 points.

You crumble the dried and treated leaves together.

You pack the bandages with the herbs. The odor is pungent and heady. The kit appears to be bulkier than any others you have seen.

Not like you, you are squishy on the outside and hard in the middle, that makes for hard eating because we have no opposable finger. Hard to pick bones out of throat when choking without the opposable finger."

Oolutanga, the Tusker King says, "You like my hat?"

Oolutanga, the Tusker King says, "You cannot call me Bobo, only those that are tuskers may call me Bobo. But because you are not tusker you must call me Oolutanga, because you can form words as you are far more intelligent than my small brained race. Because they are tuskers and you are not."

Oolutanga, the Tusker King says, "You think that you are smarter than Oolutanga. You cannot be smarter than Oolutanga, because Oolutanga is the smartest tusker ever. He is smarter than the other tuskers and smarter than most of you things too. Therefore you cannot be smarter."

You give Oolutanga, the Tusker King Bunch of Nanners.
Oolutanga, the Tusker King tells you, "Mmm nanners. This is the best food."
You've earned 100 experience.
