Casinos were moved closer to town during The Calm event! In January, 2005, players received a High Stakes token as a New Year's gift!

Casinos were introduced in April 2001's A Reign of Stone event. Each Casino has three gambling tables: a low-stakes, medium-stakes and high-stakes. Buy tokens from one of the "dealers" and trade them in to the corresponding NPC for prizes. Guides are also available for purchase.

Note: the Casino workers used to refuse trade notes over a "C", but now they accept all trade notes (except the Olthoi Pincer quest note). There are also Pawn Shopkeepers who will buy back many of your unwanted prizes.

During the Discoveries event, gambling rewards were updated! As a result, the cost of tokens went up as well. Gambling Tokens can be purchased up to 100 at a time and be stacked up to 100 a pack slot.

Cost:
Low Stakes tokens - 5,000 py
Mid Stakes tokens - 25,000 py
High Stakes tokens - 50,000 py

You give Sho High-Stakes Gamesmaster Gan-Zo's High-Stakes Gambling Token.
Sho High-Stakes Gamesmaster tells you, "Let's see what the Great Lady of Chance and Possibility has in store for you!"

The tables to the right show a list of the possible rewards and the approximate percentage rate from the Aluvian Casino. Preliminary reports suggest that similar trophies are given at the Gharu'ndim and Sho Casinos. The pack doll you may receive, however, will vary.

Pack Dolls can be given to the owner of each Casino for special rewards. You can win Tiny Shards, a Golden Key, Pyreal Peas, or a prized Golden Gromnie Pack Toy with hip hopping motion! Golden Gromnies were a part of the Mansion Purchase Price with the addition of the Dark Majesty expansion, but otherwise, they serve no other purpose than as a toy to amaze your friends!

The various trophies can be used in quests or turned in to various Crafters and Collectors for additional rewards.

The Golden Keys can be used on the Large Golden Chests for phat lewt (12-16 items -- SIK-like rewards)! During A Swelling Tide, the lewt was updated and became even phatter!
