The following information is provided as a courtesy until I can research the
quest for a full write-up.
From Elder
UA Level 126
Monarch House of Elder, MT:
Hea Temenua Level 111 Hea Tumerok. He is accompanied by Level 111 Hea Kanokeh and Level 111 Hea Karenua.
Hea Temenua drops the two pieces for the Exquisite Elari Wood Bow, and a Hea Totem. You need high bow skill to string the bow, but apparently, you need specialized bow to use
its magic.
Hea Karenua drops the Awakener (you have picture) and 4 Hea Karenua Keys for use on the Hea Raiders' Cache at 43.4N,82.5W.
Hea Kanokeh drops nothing other than typical monster loot.
Spawns only during the Queen
quest.
Correction: the Queen quest does not need to be active
for Hea Temenua to spawn.
See the Palenqual
Living Weapons quest for more information.
From Terror and Pain:
Temenua glances down at the
hole that now graces his chest, courtesy of Terror and Pain. "Hm,"
he says, almost offhandedly, as he fingers the edge of the wound.
"You were the better. Well played. I pray Tonk will allow me to face
you again some day." With this, he carefully lays himself down on the
earth, and dies.
Goldstar of WE also reports
that the bow parts are no-drop, no-give.
You attempt to flex
the bow for restringing, but it leaps from your weak grip with a loud
twang. Both the string and haft have snapped!
Grunting with exertion, you
manage to restring the bow.
From Shui Jin of LC -
a good loc to search around is 50.9N 72.7W
also, im a bit tired, but i think you need to add precise to the list of
spells on it.
precise adds +10 bow skill.
one more thing, as of me writing this, something got the queens quest
stuck, so the heas spawn repeatedly. unfortunately the backlash is the
credit guy isn't going to spawn, but i and my friends all found our bows
in less than half an hour.
and your site rocks
Shui Jin of LC
Another thign Elariwood parts are givable
and droppable and drop
on death yet the assembled is the exact opposite. Some say it is droppable
on death but i say it isnt cause with no D'i's i killed myself and i didnt
drop my bow. You have died! You lose 47282 Pyreals! Thats all
Elari Bow is giveable but lose the spells
if given Stave is lost if string snaps 3 week timer
I have never lost the bow on death, but assume it could drop on death
given the value of the bow
Awakener: Link to Elder is dead. Needs a
line that says "This weapon can only be equipped by someone with Spec
Creature and can only be used on PK targets.
Elari Bow: Skill check is 320 for a 50/50 chance.
From Ryucho Rajileth of Harvestgain
Hey Maggie,
Just thought I'd let you know, Hea Temenua and his friends sometimes spawn
outside of the Queen Quest, but it is much less likely. Also, for people
who are looking for the elari parts and think they'll be fine with low
buffs and going alone, they're wrong. Temenua and his pals can pack a
serious punch and WILL chase you for quite a while. I would suggest
keeping on your guard and having a full set of buffs to keep you going.
Also, If you don't think you can take them all down and just wanna kill
Temenua and run, I'd highly suggest not being burdened, because you'll
probably end up running around in circle till you can get close enough to
the corpse, and then running for your life if you aren't careful. ALSO:
Plan on running around for atleast an hour or more if your alone or even
with small group, because it gets hard to find them. Be prepared to search
most of the Marescent Plateau atleast once before you find him... Took me
three times alone :-/.
For anyone trying to string the bow: I'd highly suggest having ATLEAST 325
buffed bow skill. I failed my first time with 321 and got it my second
with 330. Also, Have a bow in your hand when you attempt to string it, I'm
pretty sure it helps.
If you don't have spec bow skill don't bother getting the bow because
without its spells it's pretty worthless.
And if anyone on Harvestgain wants my help looking for Temenua, /tell
Ryucho Rajileth I've found temenua plenty of times and I'll gladly help if
I'm not busy (and trust me, I'm not usually busy if I'm online, lol)
GL!
Just a couple quick notes on the Elari Bow
Quest:
Hea Temenua only spawns when the New Queen Quest is activ4e (i.e., the
Menhir Rings have been broken)
There is a timer on the bow parts (not sure the length of the timer, but
longer than a couple days)
The Hea Raiders' Cache keys are also on a timer, so grab a couple friends
since you can only pick up one of the 4 that Karenua drops
The Hea Raiders' Cache contains Ahruhenga (sp?) Portal Gems (I got 3) and
Pepper Jack Cheese (Cold Prot VI) along with some nice loot (10k value
staff with level V spells and a high AL heaume with Imp VI)
Nothing exactly ground-breaking, but thought it might round-out your
description a bit -- Thanks for the great site,
Mitsuya
Hey Maggie,
A quick update regarding the Elari bow quest.
For the Elari bow quest it was mentioned that Temenua only spawns during
the queen quest. During the last week I've been looking
for Ralirea and have seen Hea Temenua 8 different times, only once was it
during the queen quest.
Regards,
Razmage of MT
just a little update.
a good loc to search around is 50.9N 72.7W
COD:
Hea Temenua, Hea Karenua,
and Hea Kanokeh are found together on the Marescent Plateau. They are
Level 111 Hea Tumeroks, and they wield hollow weapons!
Hea Temenua (Elari Bow parts)
Hea Karenua (Awakener; Keys to Hea Cache)
Hea Kanokeh (controls other Lvl 50 Tumeroks)
Eventually, if you have good luck, you will encounter the three of them
with some additional Hea Nualuan Tumeroks (Level 50).
If possible (!), dispatch the named Tumeroks first. If you can Kill Hea
Kanokeh first, you hear this message:
"As the drum-speaker Hea Kanokeh falls, the Nualuan warriors of Temenua's
party lose heart, and quickly leave the field of battle."
So the Hea Nualuan warriors are gone, leaving only Hea Karenua and Hea
Temenua.
From Hea Temenua's corpse you get the basic Elari Bow (the Greenwood Haft)
and the Gromnie Sinew Bowstring. You may also get a Hea Totem.
From Karenua you get the Awakener and several Hea Karenua Keys (you can
only pick up one). This key opens the Hea Raider's Cache at (43.3N, 82.5W)
in the southwest corner of the plateau. Singularity-level loot and an
Ahunrenga Portal Gem.
There is a two week timer on getting the parts of the bow, regardless of
your success at stringing it. To string it, buff your Bow Skill, and
Coordination. [Note: Buffing Strength is not necessary (per a Dev on the
Dark Majesty site). Our thanks to Johnny Muerte for this information! -
Ed.]

Exquisite Elari Wood Bow |
A lightweight bow made of living elaniwood found only on Marae Lassel. It is strung with silvery gromnie sinew that holds incredible tension. You notice a small note shoved into a crack in the haft. You pull it out and read, "A step in the right direction. The living wood allows a superior draw weight. Not as good as larchess was reputed to be, at least according to that overweening blowhard Locke. If only my hatchet could chip those damned glowing trees! Floating creatures still dogging me, but wary since I punctured that
'mouthless' one" -Lilitha

Gromnie Sinew Bowstring |
This bowstring is spun from the tight, powerful sinews found in a gromnie's back. It will be quite a feat to string a bow with this.
Use this to restring a bow. |

Greenwood Haft |
A carefully sculpted length of living greenwood. It must be restrung to be used. This appears to be a weapon on exquisite quality, and those who merely dabble in archery will probably not have the specialist skill required to usefully wield it.
String this to make a bow. |
