Town Crier tells you, "I love rainbows. Do you have a niffis helm?"

To complete the Helm of the Elements, you need 4 Prism Fragments, one from each of the lower cisterns of the four Empyrean Propylaeum dungeons.

Once you have your four fragments, take them to an Agent of the Arcanum to have them made into Craftable Prism Fragments. Once the Fragments are craftable they are able to be given.

You give Agent of the Arcanum Fragment of the Fire Prism.
Agent of the Arcanum tells you, "Wow! Great work. Here is your reward. Umm, I think your britches may be burning."
You receive 250,00 experience.
Agent of the Arcanum gives you Writ of Refuge.
Agent of the Arcanum tells you, "We only wanted to see that you had achieved what we asked. Seeing as how you did so well you should keep this."
Agent of the Arcanum gives you Craftable Prism Fragment of Fire.
Agent of the Arcanum tells you, "You never know, you may find a use for it yet."

Note: The two higher level fragments (Acid and Lightning) give 500,000xp and 2 writs the first time through.

Combine the Craftable Prism Fragment of Fire with the Craftable Prism Fragment of Ice for a Jewel of Fire and Ice.

You place the prism fragments together and they slide into place with a click.

Combine the Craftable Prism Fragment of Acid with the Craftable Prism Fragment of Lightning for a Jewel of Acid and Lightning.

You place the prism fragments together and they slide into place with a click.

Combine the two Jewels to create the Prismatic Plume. (The Plume may also be given.)

Pressing the two jewels together causes them to sing in concert. As the high pitch dies out a rainbow plume is left behind.

To complete your Helm of the Elements, you'll need a Niffis Shell Helm. The Niffis Shell Helm is made by giving a Leather Crafter a Large Niffis Shell from a  Sephal Niffis. See the Crafters and Collectors for a list of Leather Crafter locations.

Leather Crafter tells you, "If you give me the hide of an armoredillo, gromnie, reedshark, or mattekar, I can make something with it that you may find useful."
You give Leather Crafter Niffis Shell.
Leather Crafter tells you, "Here you go."
Leather Crafter gives you Niffis Shell Helm.

You affix the plume to the Niffis Helm a soft glow surrounds the helm and storms become visible in the rainbow prism.

Now attach your Prismatic Plume to the Niffis Shell Helm for your Helm of the Elements!! The helm may also be given.
