From the Heart of Woe event.

Town Crier tells you, "I love the roadway from Arwic to Glenden Wood, the Obsidian Span, the run along the river and the gorgeous valleys, remind me of Ispar."

During the Oswald's Dirk quest, we learned that Aamiah's husband, Jaleh, was missing. After some sleuthing, we were able to piece together only part of the story. When the quest was over, we appeared to be at a dead-end; the only clue we had was a note that was left in Oswald's Chambers, titled Heart of Innocence.

Rumor: Heart of Innocence

Further investigations proved fruitless until later in the month when a new dungeon opened near the Obsidian Span. Fight your way through the Heart of Innocence dungeon to solve the mystery of Jaleh's disappearance and to retrieve a new stone for your Isparian weapon, the Heart of the Innocent.

The portal to the dungeon spawns randomly, but it's never found more than a half click from 34.0N, 39.0E. (A second reported location is at 33.8N, 38.7E.) The portal cannot be recalled or summoned and it's restricted to levels 60+.

Map: Heart of Innocence

In order to enter the dungeon you must have completed part of the Oswald's Dirk quest. As long as you have used the fir tree and entered the puzzle box room, you will be flagged to enter the Heart of Innocence. The entry drop is safe for buffing.

There are several locked doors (difficulty 402) that require a lockpicker and you'll want to bring along some good firepower. You'll be fighting human opponents: Rogues (L95), Rogue Mages (L95), Thieves (L105), Bandit Mages and Bandit Lords (L110), Mercenaries (L115), and 5 unique named opponents:

Adroth Salson - Level 120
Itala the Knife - Level 120
Den-Ru Chang - Level 120
Li Fanli -  Level 120
Torgrym the Magnificent - Level 120

In addition to your human foes, the dungeon is also full of Vulnerability traps and War VII traps. Hugging the walls will not help you here. The best tactic is to go slowly, single file, a few steps at a time. If you get hit, don't move and heal immediately! After healing to full health, then you can move forward again.

Once your party is buffed, pick the lock on the door (dir 402). Remember: go slowly!! Just on the other side of the door, the Key to Jaleh's Chest spawns on the ground. At this point in the quest, several in your party will be dead. Because they just didn't listen!! Goooo slooooww. Heal, then move.

The first room has some stone pillars surrounded by giant stone heads. Kill the humans in the room then continue straight through, heading south (you will have to pick another locked door). When you hit the T, take a left and go up the ramp. Stay left and keep going up until you open into a large room. There will be a structure in the center of the room. Take the passage through the structure opening to the north and head down the ramp. At the bottom, take a right at the split, then take the next ramp on your left, heading down to the south.

You'll now encounter the 5 humans. Androth Salson is in bright blue covenant armor and carries a Shield of the Simulacra. Den-Ru Chang is in Auroric Exarch. Itala the Knife, Li Fanli and Torgrym the Magnificent are in Sharded Shadow Amuli. They may carry various quest weapons, such as a Weeping Bow or Crescent Moons. Torgrym is wearing an Energy Crown.

"C'mon yeh dumb bastards, fight like a team!" Adroth bellows over the clash of battle.
Adroth spits on the ground as he sizes up Calli. "Dunno how yeh found us, mate. Seems like the longer we all stay in this world, the more we get a sixth sense for danger, eh? Anyway. Time to pay yer toll."

Adroth spits on the ground as he sizes up Starsunder. "Roight. Stand and deliver."
Adroth's boots clank loudly as he lunges at Julian's Touch!
Your lightning coruscates over Adroth Salson's mortal remains!
Adroth spits blood and teeth upon the ground, and grins a gap-toothed, bloodstained smile at Julian's Touch. "If yer not carrying a full pack of vitae, yer not a real man. Roight then. I'll be back for you bub. Ye'll get yers soon enough." The wicked gleam in his eyes fades as his spirit is whisked away to the lifestone.

Itala glances at Adroth and murmurs, "I told you those boots of yours would give away our position."
Your lightning coruscates over Itala the Knife's mortal remains.
Itala falls before Neo I's assault as she fought, silently.

Rare-to's death is preceded by a sharp, stabbing pain, courtesy of Den-Ru Chang!
"Ha!" Torgrym guffaws. "If yeh can't foight wid the best of us, go foight drudges. Suck vitae, Rare-to."

Your killing blow nearly turns Den-Ru Chang inside out!
Den-Ru tries to cast healing spell, but is too weak. "Bah. Wear a robe, get sliced open by hollow weapons. Wear armor, become too heavy to move. Well, all you're getting from me is a sackful of those useless damned robes that old fool Celdiseth knits!"

Lai Fanli grunts. "I keep telling Oswald... archers can't compete against opponents this difficult. Where is the 'love' he keeps promising me?" At that, his bow falls from his cooling fingers.

Torgrym glares over his orb at Julian's Touch. "Come on, foight like a man. Been whackin' on those dumb local critters too long, eh? No challenge in 'em, I say."

Torgrym glares over his orb at Antikas. "Ya precious great pansy wossamatta, been sittin' down in Black Spawn Den too long? Do the sun hurt yer eyes?"
Blistered by lightning Torgrym the Magnificent falls for 29,713 experience!
As he begins his journey back to the lifestone, Torgrym is heard to mutter, "Damn. Bloke must use that Virindi thing... whassit... that funny gear stuff. I'm too... elite... for this..."

After killing Torgryn, go into the passage to the east under the giant stone heads. Some pots will be in alcoves to your right and to your left. On the ground near the pots on your left you'll find Jaleh's necklace spawning on the ground. Back out in the room around the corner to the right, you can also find Jaleh's Shirt. Wait until everyone picks up both items before continuing.

From the pot area head east again. This corridor is safe for buffing, if necessary. Go through the next locked door (dif 402), fight the Thieves and Mercenaries on the other side, and pick up Jaleh's Turban from the floor. There's a 2nd locked door exiting this room, but that's not your route. Instead, go through the secret passage on the east wall!

Head down the ramp and take a second secret passage on the wall to the north. You'll see Jaleh's slain body in the final room, guarded by Bandit Mages and Lords. Double click Jaleh to receive the Heart of the Innocent. You can also pick up his slippers and wedding ring from the floor.

Body of Jaleh al-Thani gives you Heart of the Innocent.
The heart of Jaleh al-Thani floats from the wound in his chest and lands in your hands solidifying into a deep red gem.
As soon as the heart turns crystalline in your hands another appears in the dead man's body beating once more.

If you try a 2nd time, you'll receive this message:

A wispy voice says, "You have already taken my heart, would you have my soul too?"

Next take the ramp up. Pick up the Note Scrawled in Blood from the floor. Other text may also be found in the dungeon.

Rumor: Note Scrawled in Blood
Rumor: Aged Note
Text: Blood Stained Book

To the right of the ramp you can find SIK chests. To the left you'll find Jaleh's Finery Chest and a few unlocked loot chests. Use the Key on the chest and retrieve Jaleh's Chain Shirt and Jaleh's Leggings.

Once everyone has their items, return to Ayan and give Aamiah Jaleh's items for experience.

Shortcut to Ayan Baqur: If you're unable to catch a portal to Panopticon, take the Siege Road Settlement portal from Rithwic at 8.7N, 60.9E, then the E Dires Swamp portal at 8.1S, 74.5E. Ayan Baqur (59.9S, 87.9W) is a long dangerous run from the drop.

Aaminah the Grieving Wife is located at 60.0S, 87.8W.

When you give her the Silk Shirt, she will also give you a Letter to Ro Bi-Jor. Take it to Sawato for additional xp.

Note: The Letter to To Bi-Jor may be given and turned in by any character, even your level 1 mule!

Rumor: Letter to Ro Bi-Jor

Aaminah tells you, "You should also be rewarded for your efforts."

You allow Aaminah to examine your Jaleh's Chain Shirt.
Aaminah tells you, "His chain shirt crafted by the hands of the finest Aluvian metal smith on Dereth. This is all the proof I need to know that my husband is no longer among the living. For him to part ways with this finery ensures that his life is over."
Aaminah tells you, "How I wish that you had not found this item. But you have."
Aaminah tells you, "Take this as payment for services well done and please, I beg you leave me to grieve for my lost husband."

You allow Aaminah to examine your Jaleh's Necklace.
Aaminah tells you, "Jaleh's necklace."
Aaminah tells you, "It was a gift from his mother. He always wore it, he'd never taken it off around me. Even when he slept. It was the only thing that he had to remind himself of home. Here."
Aaminah tells you, "I have no need of it anymore. But you might find the same comfort that he did within its embrace."
Aaminah tells you, "I am grateful for your efforts."

You give Aaminah Jaleh's Silk Shirt.
Aaminah tells you, "This was his favorite shirt. He had it made by To-ping Ra. Though To-ping Ra allowed an apprentice to create it."
Aaminah tells you, "Jaleh was more than impressed, he was astounded but true to form he berated the apprentice and had the cost of the shirt lowered.I felt bad for the apprentice but there was little that I could do."
Aaminah tells you, "Do me one final favor, please.Take this note to the apprentice so that they might know the truth."

From Bivitar Hawkens of MT:

The "Weeping" stone (Heart of the Innocent), can be swapped out between Isparian Weapons, and you can use the Isparian Weapons Modifying Tool to exchange it in and out. Finally we can reconfigure our Isparians without having to do the stone quests over and over!

The Heart only works on perfect weapons, when I attempted to stone a Superb to see if the properties were different, the weapon would not take the stone.

Vist the Isparian Arms write-up for more information about creating an Isparian Weapon.

There is a 30 day timer on this quest.

Note: During the Visions in the Darkness event, melee Weeping Weapons gained the ability to be converted into Elemental Weeping Weapons with elemental damage. See the Elemental Weeping Weapons quest write-up for details!

Note: The original stats were modified for a few of the weapons in the following patch. Following is a post by Orion detailing the changes.

Post by Orion on Weeping Weapons changes:

As stated before on other boards, we have been looking at the effect that the new Weeping Weapons have had on PvP. We've been testing them today, and also reading the feedback that has been posted on the various boards.

While the weapons appeared well-balanced in controlled situations, we have determined that four of the weapons tip the scales too far in one direction: the wand, bow, crossbow and atlatl.

As a result, the following changes will be made to the weapons at the beginning of the July Patch:

Bow: The bow will have it's damage bonus modifier reduced to a more survivable level of 80%.

Crossbow and Atlatl: These weapons will have their damage bonus reduced to 100%.

Wand: The wand will see a reduction in the maximum slayer bonus that it is afforded. The new value will eliminate the chance for mages to single shot a prepared and seasoned PvP player.

When the new weapons are released please post any additional feedback you have on this thread.

Thank You
