Minor Stones not only power-up Atlan Weapons, but they can also be used to provide enhanced stats to Isparian Weapons.

During the Heart of Woe event, this quest was updated. The original heritage rumors were replaced with store bought rumors for each stone and the original ice cave and zefir cave now house formidable opponents guarding runed chests. Two new caves were added containing the Shivering and Sparking Stones. In addition, the spells for each stone were changed.

Minor Shivering Stone
The Minor Shivering Stone is not difficult to obtain, once you've made your way to the edge of the Lost Wish Mountain. Purchase A Shivering Stone rumor from either Magrom the Red in Cragstone at 25.7N, 48.8E or Barkeeper Wilomine in Holtburg at 42.2N, 33.7E to begin. You'll be directed to travel directly east of Holtburg and north of Cragstone to an igloo at 42.7N, 49.8E.

For a quick route, take the Holtburg Wilderness Settlement portal from Holtburg at 40.2N, 35.1E which exits at 40.7N, 47.2E. The igloo is surrounded by about 8 Glacial Golems (Level 53). Bring your fire weapon and buff for cold and bludgeoning damage!

The Minor Shivering Stone spawns on the floor of the cave next to a Textbook. Take it to Bretself in Cragstone for translation (26.0N, 47.0E). The Textbook is Atlan's Treatise, which describes the history of Atlan Weapons and the steps to create them.

Minor Smoldering Stone
The Minor Smoldering Stone is one of the easiest stones to obtain. The rumor, A Fiery Stone, can be purchased from Scribe Jizal al-Nurla in Zaikhal at 13.8N, 0.1E. The note leads you to a Fiery Cave (15.0S, 31.2E) southeast of Samsur.

To reach the Fiery Cave take the Samsur portal from Yaraq at 23.0S, 0.2W, then take the Yinar settlement portal at 0.8S, 18.9E. You'll exit 9.5S, 33.3E, a short run from the cave.

The cave itself is guarded by Gouts, Level 63 Fire Elementals. Wear your fire protection and bring a frost weapon! The surrounding area can also be dangerous with Iron Golems, Risen Knights, Lich Lords and Banderling Strikers in the vicinity. The Minor Smoldering Stone spawns on the floor of the cave next to textbook (Atlan's Treatise).

Minor Sparking Stone
The Minor Sparking Stone is located in a Zefir Cave (60.0S, 75.5E) west of Mayoi. A Sparking Stone rumor, purchased from Te Ketnan in Mayoi at 61.4S, 81.9E, suggests traveling NE from the West Mayoi Mountain Villas. To reach the Villas, take the Mayoi settlement portal at 60.8S, 80.3E. You'll exit at 61.1S, 73.7E, just a short run from the cave.

About 8 Sufut Zefirs (Level 53) guard the cave. Like the other stones, the Minor Sparking Stone spawns right on the floor of the cave. You'll also find a Textbook and a Hastily Scrawled Note nearby. Again, the textbook translate into Atlan's Treatise. The Note can also be translated in Cragstone. The resulting work is a Field Report

Minor Stinging Stone

Rumor: A Stinging Stone rumor can be purchased from Barkeeper Fo Ya-Un in Hebian-To at 39.1S, 83.4E. It will lead you to a small Swamp Cave (24.5S, 47.4E), a short run from either Sawato or Yanshi. This stone is probably one of the more difficult Minor Stones to obtain. You might consider bringing some help along with you.

The area surrounding the Swamp Cave is swarming with Mosswarts and other swamp creatures. The cave itself is guarded by several Mosswart Soul Trappers and Zealots (Level 44). Inside the cave, you'll encounter numerous Sewer Rats (Level 53) with dangerous acid attacks.

Be careful to keep your exit clear. It's easy to get trapped in the cave by the sheer number of the Rats. Once you've vanquished all the rats, simply pick up the stone from the floor where it spawns.

In addition to the Minor Stinging Stone, you'll also find a Soiled Parchment spawning on the ground next to a Textbook (Altan's Treatise). The note can be taken to Bretself in Cragstone for translation into Asheron's Decree.
