The Needletooth, an unarmed weapon, was introduced when the Singularity Caul was updated during the Mirror, Mirror event. To reach the Caul you must be flagged by killing the Guardian of the Singularity, a level 100 Virindi found at the end of the Singularity Bore (see the Quintessence Sickle quest for details). The dungeon is restricted to levels 50+. You can also use the Singularity Caul Recall spell.

Note: The Caul is the island Bael'zharon called players to run "The Guantlet", an invitation only quest to receive an Atlan Shadow Stone and the title of Dark Master. A group of Virindi led by Levistras chose the Caul as the location to build a new Singularity before they were defeated.

The katar is made from Carenzi Fangs dropped by a Level 161 Carenzi, the Ravager (rare drop). The Ravager is found on the northern part of the Caul. Use Bludgeon or Cold attacks for best results. Give the fangs to an Ivory Crafter in exchange for the Needletooth.

You give Ivory Crafter Carenzi Fangs.
Ivory Crafter tells you, "These fangs are very sharp. Pried them from a carenzi you say. Well, I think that I can get them into a useful form."
IVory Crafter tells you, "A wrap here...done."
Ivory Crafter gives you Needletooth.
Ivory Crafter tells you, "They to have magically enchanted while within the beast. I find this strange and somewhat frightening."
