Neydisa Castle
The quest for Oswald's Throwing Daggers begins at picturesque Neydisa Castle (69.5 N, 17.5 E). To reach the castle, take the Highland Manors settlement portal from Glenden Wood (27.9N, 29.5E). You'll exit just a short run from Neydisa Castle. Be cautious! Dangerous creatures, such as Ferocious Monouga, Augmented Drudges, Dire Ursuins and Hoary Armoredillos roam the landscape!

Once at Neydisa, head inside and speak with Nelvaine. He can be found standing next to a fire outside in the courtyard at 69.7, 17.6E.

Nelvaine the Brewer tells you, "Come to sample my famous brews, have you? Seneschal Gormling, in particular, is fond of my Olde Ispar Stout. Unfortunately it goes straight to his head, lightweight that he is."
Nelvaine the Brewer tells you, "No better drink will you find in all Dereth."
Nelvaine the Brewer tells you, "Cheers!"

Purchase two Mugs of delicious Ispar Stout from Nelvaine. One is to give to Seneschal Gormling, to loosen his tongue; the other will be used later as part of the Neydisa Hauberk quest. While you're at Neydisa Castle, you should also stop upstairs to speak with Lady Tallial for some pertinent information.

Gormling can be found just inside the entry. Give him the Mug of Stout and he'll give you Gormling's Note to deliver to Jourgensson at Bandit Castle.

You give Gormling the Sneaky Seneschal Nelvaine's Olde Ispar Stout.
Gormling the Sneaky Seneschal tells you, "Mmmm, delicious drink... Here, you're a good chappie. Take this note over to the Bandit Castle for me, will you? Give it to Jourgensson. He'll make it worth your while."
Gormling the Sneaky Seneschal gives you Gormling's Note.

Next, make the long run to Bandit Castle (66.5N, 50.0E). You can either take the road to the east and follow it until you reach your destination, or if you're feeling brave, you can take a shortcut through the Mattekar Cave (65.4N, 16.7E).

Shortcut
Inside you'll initially battle your way past some Great Mattekars and Snowy Mattekars. As you go deeper within, you'll come to a room with a pit in the middle of the room. Jump into the pit and fight the Ice Golems guarding the exit portal.

You'll exit next to the entrance of the Eotensfang Portal at 65.0N, 49.3E. Be careful when you emerge from portal space because there may be dangerous creatures waiting to attack on the other side. From here, it's just a short run up the road to the Bandit Castle (66.5N, 50.0E).

If you prefer to travel from Arwic, you can take the Mountain Shortcut at 34.9N, 56.0E, then run to the portal at 42,4N, 60.5E. You'll be dropped just a short run from Bandit Castle (66.5N, 50.0E).

Bandit Castle
Once at the Castle seek out Jourgensson (66.3N, 50.0E), and give him his cousin's note. He'll give you 20 Oswald's Throwing Daggers in return.

Jourgensson tells you, "Oi, mush! Want ter do me a favor? It's tough ter get a decent drink around here, especially wiv the prices Gorth charges."
Jourgensson tells you, "Fetch me a bottle of Olde Ispar Stout from Neydisa Castle, down the road to the west, and I'll put in a good word fer yer with MacDugal!"

You give Jourgensson Gormling's Note.
Jourgensson tells you, "Wotcha, mush. Keep this on the hush-hush, will yer? Here's somefin' fer yer troubles. Got 'em off some passing rogue in green armor. Shifty-eyed manker."
Jourgensson gives you 20 Oswald's Throwing Daggers.
Jourgensson tells you, "Wot? Not enough? Well don' ye have the big britches! Here, then."
You've earned 100,000 experience

Give Jourgensson your second Mug of Ispar Stout to continue with the Neydisa Hauberk quest!

You give Jourgensson Nelvaine's Olde Ispar Stout.
Jourgensson tells you, "Right, thanks. Ye're a toff. Take this note to MacDugal and he'll treat yer right. Now sod off and let me drink in peace!"
Jourgensson gives you Jourgensson's Letter.

Lady Tallial
Before heading out to Bandit Castle, you should have stopped to speak to Lady Tallial on the 2nd floor of Neydisa Castle (69.5 N, 17.5 E). She just hasn't been the same since her love, Sir Joffre Tremblant, met with such unfortunate circumstances during his search for the legendary City of Frore. Although stricken with grief, Lady Tallial still carries on with her duties and is not unaware of the situation brewing up at Bandit Castle.

Lady Tallial tells you, "Welcome to Neydisa Castle. We are a peaceful settlement, but MacDugal's band of raiders has recently re-occupied the castle to the east. I am sure they are planning something vile."
Lady Tallial tells you, "If you are able to bring back to me evidence of MacDugal's plans, I will grant you a reward from my castle's armory."

Before making the trip, buy your Ispar Stout from Nelvaine, who is located in the castle's courtyard.

Give Jourgensson up at Bandit Caslte the Mug of Stout and he'll give you Jourgensson's Letter to give to MacDugal. MacDugal will give you a key in exchange for the Letter.

MacDugal tells you, "Well, Jourgensson says you're all right. Maybe you can help. Down underneath the castle, there's a prison full of beasties. That idiot Gwillim dropped some notes and his bag in there."
MacDugal tells you, "Now he says he can't mix potions! Bring the bag back to him, and he'll reward you. You'll need this to get in there."
MacDugal gives you MacDugal's Key.

Gwillim's Alchemy Bag
To find Gwillim, head to the lower level of Bandit Castle. He's standing beside some bookshelves near the portal to the Prison level.

Gwillim, the Apprentice tells you, "Sorry, I'm too busy with my own problems right now..."

Map: Bandit Castle Prison

Note: During the Halls of the Tusker King, the Bandit Castle Prison became populated with more formidable monsters. You'll encounter Banderling Bezerkers and Strikers, Revenants, Swamp Rats, Opor Niffis and more.

When you exit the portal, go straight (the corridor marked by the sign). Take the first right, then follow the passage around and down to the large open room. Along the walls you'll see creatures trapped in cells.

In the middle of the large room is a pit. Jump in, then take the east exit. At the fork make a left. Ahead of you will be three Giant White Rats (Level 75). Each rat carries a Key which can be used to open the various cells in the prison.

Once you've found the rats, you're very close to the locked room which contains your goal. Look for the locked door near the surface portal. Use MacDugal's key on the door to open it. Inside, two Jungle Wasps guard Gwillim's Alchemy Bag.

Kill the wasps and retrieve the bag and notes off the floor. You'll also find some some frost infusions. In addition, you can also get some low level loot off the corpse lying next to your prize.

Gwillim's Alchemy Notes contain not only basic information on the alchemy and fletching steps to make Frost Arrows, but also tells about MacDugal's nefarious plans. This is just the sort of information Lady Tallial was looking for! Take the exit portal right outside and return the bag to Gwillim. He'll give you some Deadly Frost Arrows as a reward.

You give Gwillim, the Apprentice Gwillim's Alchemy Bag.
Gwillim, the Apprentice tells you, "You've found it! Oh, thank you, thank
you, you've saved my life! Here, take these... And go ahead and keep those
notes."

Gwillim, the Apprentice gives you 250 Deadly Frost Arrows.
You've earned 50,000 experience.

Gwillim, the Apprentice tells you, "That's not much for someone of your
stature. But this is all I can give you."

Neydisa Hauberk
To receive your reward, the Neydisa Hauberk, return the Notes to Lady Tallial, back at Neydisa Castle (69.5 N, 17.5 E).

You give Lady Tallial Gwillim's Alchemy Notes.
Lady Tallial tells you, "Just as I suspected. Thank you for your bravery. People have complained about the reward I granted for service in the past. Perhaps this antique hauberk will be more appreciated."
Lady Tallial gives you Neydisa Hauberk.
Lady Tallial tells you, "And someone of your obvious experience deserves a bit more."
You've earned 100,000 experience.

Note: You will only receive the experience rewards if you are level 40+. Lower level character will only receive the quest items as rewards. There is a 7 day timer on the xp.
