Dark Majesty.
The Olthoi Pincer quests are
a great way to boost your xp and to stock up on treated healing kits. Begin
by speaking with Behdo Yii, a researcher in Redspire on Marae Lasse. While
exploring an Abaondoned Tumerok Outpost, Behdo Yii of
Redspire was chased away by Olthoi. Help him rid the area of Olthoi and he
will reward you for your efforts! As part of your reward, you will also
receive a Token which can be exchanged for a new title.
You can also purchase a rumor
for this quest
from Micon Stuvis in Redspire (introduced during
Pillars
Made of Sand).

Behdo Yii
There are five Olthoi
dungeons in all, each of increasing difficulty. One particular Olthoi in each
of the dungeons drops the pincer you need as proof for Behdo Yii. The
Pincers are attuned and bonded and may not be given. There is a three week
timer on each of pincers.
To reach Behdo Yii on
Marae Lassel, take one of the three Respire portals. You'll find him at
40.8N, 83.3W.

Behdo Yii says, "I can't believe I have this wonderful tumerok site to explore, and I am forced to loiter around here due to these pesky Olthoi. If you head up to forty-three point eight degrees north, and eighty-three point four degrees west, you can help me with this problem!"
Behdo Yii tells you, "Hello there stranger! I am wondering if you can help me in a bit of a predicament I find myself in. I was busy exploring a wonderfully well-preserved abandoned Tumerok outpost, when I was beset upon by a number of Olthoi!"
Behdo Yii tells you, "I had never seen these fearsome creatures that close before, and the fact that I escaped with my life leads me to believe that these Olthoi aren't quite so tough as their mainland counterparts. If you could journey to this tumerok outpost an rid it of these troublesome beasts I would be most grateful."
Behdo Yii tells you, "If you could bring me back some proof that you have conquered them, such as a pincer, I would reward you well. The portal into the dungeon is straight north of here, the Abandoned Tumerok Site."

Hug the left wall all
the way down to the final room. The Olthoi which drop the pincer is at the
bottom of the wide ramp. Once you have it, return to Behdo Yii for your
reward, and instructions for the next pincer dungeon!
Behdo Yii tells you, "Ahh many thanks! You are a true hero! Here is a reward for you."

I tried to show those bugs what's what, but I'm afraid I wasn't able to make much of a dent in their numbers. If you could go there and teach them a lesson or two, I would be very appreciative."

The Dark Lair is very
straightforward. Again, just hug the left wall until you reach the final
room. Retrieve the pincer from the Olthoi Gardener and return once more to
Redspire.

proof of those nasty bugs' demise!"

Be careful, though, the uplands are not for the meek and mild."

Shortcut: Dungeon is on
the Plateau, just east of Timaru. From Redspire, run to the Marescent
Plateau Portal at 41.9N, 77.6W
Be careful as you
approach the Othoi Soldier's Nest. The entrance is often surrounded by
tumeroks and lightning elementals. The dungeon is a little more dangerous
as well! You'll have to cross deadly acid pits to reach the Olthoi Soldier
which drops the pincer. From the entrance stay left until you reach a room
with two ramps down. Take the west leading ramp down to the next level.
Next you'll come to a surface portal next to an acid pit. You must run
across the pit and take the passage to the northwest. The room you enter
will have a reddish hue. Continue up the wide ramp and through the
corridor until you reach a larger room with gas vents and a blue hue. The
Olthoi Soldier is in this room. If you reach the 2nd acid pit, you've gene
too far.
Alternatively, from the
entrance you can take the north ramp instead of the west ramp. Keep to the
left until you reach the open room with a vent. On the opposite side of
the room is a short ramp up to an acid pit. If you stand at the edge of
the pit, a Soldier will come attack you. Once you attack back, the others
will join him. The pincer soldier should come across the pit with the
others.
You give Behdo Yii A Soldier Pincer.

Olthoi Legionaries, and they are quite terrifying, from what I am given to
understand. Well, not so terrifying to one such as you, eh? They have
taken over an ancient Empyrean grotto, kill them, return a pincer as proof
to me, and I shall shower you with riches."

From the entrance, keep to
your left until you reach a small down ramp. At the bottom of the ramp
you'll come to a split. Take the right path heading east. At the the next
intersection, turn left and keep to the left all the way until the final
room. After retrieving the pincer from the Legionary, return to Behdo Yii
for your reward!

final room. The pincer is dropped by the Eviscerator that spawns in the SE
corner of the final room. Return for the final time to Behdo Yii in Respire
for your reward! You give
Behdo Yii Eviscerator Pincer.
