Osseous Mace

For many months, the only evidence of the "Bone Mace's" existence was a teaser screenshot for the Keep Your Enemies Closer event. In November, a lone rumor on a message board claimed that a new undead, a Dark Myrmidon, had been spied on Aerlinthe. Yet none could verify, and the Dark Myrmidon was dismissed as a mythical creature.

But the Dark Myrmidon does exist! During the Flesh and Blood event, this dangerous Skeleton began to appear in the Direlands. A Letter to the Players gave the following explanation:

"We swear that the Bone Mace exists. Maybe it wasn't in the most accessible of locations, but the creature that carried it did have corporeal form. However, we have also let the monster spread to wider climes, so we hope to hear reports soon of the Bone Mace making its way into the greater populace's hands. We apologize for the delay."

Soon, reports of this formidable Skeleton with his fiery weapons were widespread. Valiant warriors returned from the battlefield hoisting the trophy received from their kill: the leg bone of the Dark Myrmidon -- none other than the fabled Osseous Mace.

Hasheesh of WE found his on the plains near Slaughterhouse, surrounded by 3 Relic Bones. He killed this powerful creature with about 20 Greater Blunt Arrows after casting Magic Yield VI, Bludgeon Vulnerability VI, Imperil VI, Brittlemail VI, Bludgeon Lure VI (on the shield) and last Fester VI.

Bart found one in the South Direlands at 62.5S, 83.3W and April Rain of TD spotted one at 66.9S, 84.2W. Disco Barbie of WE encountered this orange-tinted skeleton outside the Walled Portals. Dugan of TD reports that the Dark Myrmidon can also be found in the Northern Direlands.

Like the other Boss creatures from the Keep Your Enemies Closer event, the Dark Myrmidon has an incredibly fast heal and regeneration rate.

The approximate drop rate for the mace is about one in four.

During the Come What Follows event, Belinda du Loc in Stonehold developed the ability to enhance numerous trophy items. Hand your mace to her and she will return the enhanced version. Original pre-patch weapons cannot be enhanced.

NPC: Belinda du Loc - 68.9N, 21.6W (Stonehold)
