The 4 Elemental Propylaeum appeared during the Fever Dreams event. Each dungeon consist of three parts, the entry area which everyone completes together, then you will split up to complete the upper and the lower sides. The reward for the upper side is the Ebullient Bracelet. The lower side receives a prism fragment and experience. When you've collected all four prism fragments, they can be combined and used to craft the Helm of the Elements. Agents of the Arcanum will also give you two writs for completing this quest.

Agent of the Arcanum tells you, "Hail! The Arcanum has asked us to inform all adventurers of an undertaking that you may perform to obtain Writs of Refuge. However, these places are not without their dangers and should not be ventured into alone. We have found large cisterns fueling the magical Essences of Dereth, but something deep within these furnaces is hindering the flow of mana."

Agent of the Arcanum tells you, "Go there, find a means to collect proof that you have assisted in the clearing of this stopgap, and return to any Arcanum Agent with the proof to receive your reward."

The Empyrean Acid Propylaeum is located at 31.6S, 74.2W (Levels 50+) near the Essence of Verdancy (Life Essence). To reach the dungeon, head to Baish from the Atrium Residential Halls in Qalaba'r (74.1S, 19.2E) or Glenden Wood (29.7N, 27.0E). Stop at the tavern and buy some sake then head to the Drunken Madman at 53.0S, 61.0E. Give the Madman the sake and he'll open a portal to the Walled Portals. If your jump is high enough, you can jump the wall and run to the Essence. If not, take the Accursed Halls portal.  From there jump over walls and head to Acid Propylaeum.

If you're lucky enough to have someone in your group with a tie to the Sclavus Cathedral at 33.4S, 80.1W, it's a great alternative route (best choice).

Newer players should be warned to stay away from the essences, as they are guarded by deadly elementals!

Hammer of Acid
The entry is hot. A few Olthoi Nobles greet your arrival. In the first section you'll also encounter Evicerators. Buff for Acid, Piercing and Bludgeoning, and also bane your undies. The beginning section is similar to the easier Fire & Ice dungeons. You'll take the first right from the entry and head down the ramp. Fight your way through the Olthoi until you reach the edge of the acid pit. Shift jump down from the east side of the pit (facing west) and immediately head for the west wall to get yourself out of the acid as fast as possible. When you've cleared the area of Olthoi, go down to the end of the hall and retrieve a Hammer of Acid from the green chest (30 day timer).

After everyone has a Hammer, take the south passage and head down the spiral staircases. Rebuff at the top of the 2nd set of staircases before heading down to the portal area. It's full of Olthoi. When you reach the room with the two portals, you'll need to split into an upper (bracelet) and a lower (prism) group. Each side will pull a series of levers and switches to open doors for the other side. Choose one person from each group to communicate with the other.

Upper Empyrean Acid Cistern
The Upper Empyrean Acid Cistern contains Miasmas, an Acid Elemental, and Golems -- Diamond and Acidic Coral. Use Lightning and Bludgeon attacks. This team will be pulling a series of levers for the lower team, then will jump across a grated area to reach a chest containing the
Ebullient
Bracelet.

From the entry take either passage on the east wall. Wait at the door (Da) until the lowers find their first lever. Once through, you'll be in a large open room full of golems, with passages on all 4 sides. Take the hall directly across from you on the east wall, then take a left at the split. Wait for the lowers to be in position, then pull the lever (L1).

Head back to the large open room and take the passage on the south wall to reach your second door (Db). When the lower group has opened your door, head up the ramp, then go north (left) at the 4 way intersection. Head up another ramp and you'll see your next door (Dc). You'll now be in another large room with golems and elementals. Take the north passage and pull the lever for the lowers (L2).

Next, head back to the large room and take the west passage and head down a spiral staircase (Watch out for the magic traps!). Go west up a ramp and through a large hexagonal room. The next lever (L3) is in at the end of a passage on the south side of the room. From the lever, go east up a ramp and you'll reach the ledge overlooking the grated area.

This last part requires some jumping. Do a full running jump across to a raised grated platform. Aim for the SE corner since it has grated walls which will catch you if you overshoot your mark. Next, head to the SW corner and make a small kitty-corner tap jump over. Pull the lever (L4) to open the final door for the lowers. Make another full running jump to the east, then take the final passageway to the room containing the Chest with the Ebullient Bracelet. The bracelet is no-give.

Note: If you fall, there's a lever (L5) below which opens a door for the lower group. They can pull the lever inside to open your door (Dd) which allows you to run back up, head down the spiral staircase, fight through the golems, to try again!

Lower Empyrean Acid Cistern
Like the Upper Cistern, the lower group will also pull a series of levers and go through locked doors to reach the final room containing the Prism of Acid. You'll use the hammer on the prism (acts as a key on a chest) to break off a Fragment of the Acid Prism. Again, you'll be fighting Acid Elementals -- Miasmas and Caustics, and Golems -- Diamond and Acidic Coral.

The entry is hot with a Diamond Golem ready to greet you! From the entry room take the first left and you'll see an acid pit. Your first button (La) is on the opposite of the acid pit. Wait for the uppers to be in position, then choose someone to run across while mages and healers stand ready to heal if necessary. Head back to the 4 way intersection and take the west passage to your first locked door (D1). Once the uppers have opened it, wait inside (or stand in the doorway to keep it open) for the uppers to give the signal, then pull your second lever (Lb).

Head north back to the initial 4 way intersection again. This time, take the north passage down a ramp. At the bottom of the ramp you'll make a left and pull your third lever (L3). Head back to the hallway and go north to the split. Make a left heading west and you'll be in an open room. Take the north passage down and around a corner. Continue west and south (ignore the side passages) until you reach your second door (D2).

Once the uppers have opened it, kill the three Caustics and head south past the giant heads. Take the ramp down and you'll be at the ledge overlooking an Acid Pit. Now stop!!

Important: wait at the top of the pit until the uppers have opened the door (D3) on the north wall of the pit below! Use your camera views to see the door underneath you. It's tricky -- pull up and away at an angle. After you've jumped, go down the ramp, take a left at the T. The small room you'll enter is full of dispel traps! If you need, re-buff in the hall. You'll next enter a big room with 3 Miasmas with a locked door on the north wall (D4). After the uppers have opened it, head into the final room with the Prism of Acid.

Use the Hammer of Acid on the Prism to unlock it and retrieve your Fragment of the Acid Prism. Make sure the Prism is locked and the Fragment has had time to respawn before opening it or you will waste your Hammer!

The Prism of Acid has been unlocked.
Your key is used up.
"The Prism Shakes and you hear a rushing sound from outside of the room."

Take the Fragment of the Acid Prism to any Agent of the Arcanum for your reward, 500,000xp, two writs and a Craftable Prism Fragment of Acid. The Craftable Prism can be used to make a Helm of the Elements. Writs may only be obtained your first time through this quest, but you'll get the xp reward every time.

Note: once the Fragment has been made craftable by an agent, they may then be given.

Agent of the Arcanum tells you, "Wow! Great work. Here is your reward. You are looking a little green my friend. Are you feeling okay?"
