The Quiddity Orb first appeared during the Chains of Command event.

From the Rollout Article:
. . . and with them comes another menace. Organized groups of marauding "Black Claw" Drudges have appeared in the northern and southern mountains of Osteth. Rumors speak of their involvement with a cabal of Virindi, whose hidden leader, known only as the Inculcator, is reputed to have been the true mastermind behind the takeover of Ayan Baqur. Perhaps the time has come to take the battle back to the Virindi.

The orb is made by combining the Northern & Southern Fragments, found in the Northern Black Claw & Southern Black Claw dungeons (restricted to levels 20+). Kill the Southern Black Claw Raider (level 53) which spawns in the Mountains SE of Qalaba'r, W of Mayoi and the portal to the dungeon will open. The Nothern Black Claw Raider (level 53) spawns in the area between Stonehold & Colier.

The entrances can be recalled, but neither tied nor summoned. Level IV protections are recommended.

Northern Black Claw Dungeon
The Northern Black Claw Raider is generally found in the area between Stonehold and Colier. It will be accompanied by 2 Drudge Stalkers and 2 Drudge Lurkers.

Reported spawns:
80.0N, 7.6W
79.8N, 8.5W
78.7N, 7.4W
77.8N, 7.8W
72.6N, 3.1W
71.6N, 11.6W
69.7N, 4.0E

When you kill the Northern Black Claw Raider, a portal to the dungeon will open (Levels 20+)
The entry is safe. Go down the hall and you'll encounter your first two Lurkers. In general, the layout of the dungeon is linear, so you be able to navigate it with ease. The next room has 3 more Lurkers. Head up your first ramp and you'll encounter 4 more Lurkers and a Stalker. The next open room leads up and contains 2 more Lurkers.

Map: Northern Quiddity Dungeon

Next you'll come to a room with 3 directions to choose from: West, North, or East. Take the North passage. The hall will bend to the NE then straighten back around heading North. At the end of the passage, you'll encounter 6 Stalkers, then 3 more further in.

Directly across from the room entrance is a corridor leading up to a small room with passages to the left and the right. Take either route, fighting 2 Stalkers along the way. The next passage leads up again to a room with 2 Raveners. Again, you may take either the left or right passage to reach the main chamber. There are 2 Stalkers, 2 Raveners plus the Northern Black Claw Leader (Level 70). The Leader drops the Northern Quiddity Fragment.

To reach the exit portal take the ramp down on the far side of the room. Follow the winding passage, past 2 Stalkers, down again and then past 2 Raveners. The portal exits at 12.6S, 475.E at the Yanshi portal drop-off.

The drudges spawn approximately every 4 minutes, 35 seconds.

Southern Black Claw Dungeon
The Southern Black Claw Raider is generally found in the Mountains SE of Qalaba'r, W of Mayoi It will be accompanied by 2 Drudge Stalkers and 2 Drudge Lurkers.

Reported spawns:
74.5S, 30.2E
76.6S, 30.8E
80.2S, 30.6E
80.8S, 30.4E
80.9S, 26.3E
83.0S, 21.0E

When you kill the Southern Black Claw Raider, a portal to the dungeon will open (Levels 20+) Again, t
he entry is safe. This Southern and Northern dungeons follow the same pattern, except here you will be heading south instead of north.
When you reach the final room, you'll find 2 Stalkers, 2 Raveners and the Southern Black Claw Leader (Level 70). The Leader drops the Southern Quiddity Fragment.

Map: Southern Quiddity Dungeon

The dungeon exit is down the north passage. The exit portal drops you at 61.9S, 77.5E, SE of Mayoi on a hill near the Southern Direlands portal.

The Quiddity Orb
T
he two Fragment halves may be dropped or given away, but the finished orb is no drop, no give. Before combining, make sure the character you want to have the orb has the pieces! The finished orb may be lost on death.

Landbridge Staging Complex
For an additional step, take the orb to the Landbridge Staging Complex at 86.1S, 2.6W (restricted to Levels 32+).

A Virindi at the bottom says the following:

Director's Majordomo tells you, "Another flesh petitioner! The Director is very busy, altered one. Are you not aware of all of the additional work he has had to do since our experiment in the human desert town went awry?"

Director's Majordomo tells you, "If you do not have one of the Quiddity Orbs as your token to enter, I must insist that you turn around and join your squealing fellows."

Give him the orb for entrance into another dungeon. (If you want to keep the orb, don't do this part! You will not get it back!)

You give Director's Majordomo Quiddity Orb.
Director's Majordomo tells you, "Very well, I will make a portal for you to enter the Director's private chambers. But be warned! The Director does not take kindly to frivolous interruptions!"

The Director's private chambers are small, with a few Raveners, Virindi Puppets and the Staging Ground Director.

Staging Ground Director tells you, "Flesh puppet! You are not one of my Black Claw servants!"

When you kill the Director, he drops a shard that can be translated into the Translated Staging Complex Note by Diyas al-Yat in Zaikhal.

There is a one week timer on this quest.
