It's like West Side Story. Only without the singing and dancing! Two young lovers, one a Hea Tumerok, one an Aun, meet in secret, hiding their love from their disapproving families. Help their cause by delivering notes between them and you'll receive a reward!

You'll find Hea Toneawa in the swamp outside of Greenspire at 43.7N 66.9W. Speak to him and he'll give you a note to take to his beloved Mariona.

To reach Greenspire, take any of the following portals:

--11.1N, 59.6E from Rithwic

Hea Toneawa tells you, "Greetings! Could you do me a favor, please? I planned meet my beloved, Aun Mariona, but I am afraid that my Hea brethren have learned of our romance and are watching over me. Could you take her this note? I dare not go meet her myself, lest they slay us together. You will find her at the base of the Marescent Cliffs, almost directly north from the city your kind calls Redspire. I have written the directions to our meeting place on the note."

As the note instructs, head to Redspire to meet Mariona at 42.1N, 83.5W. To reach Redspire, you can take the portal from Greenspire at 43.2N, 68.1W.

When you arrive at the rendezvous point, however, there's no one there! As you search the area, you spy Aun Bernawa nearby at 41.1N, 74.4W. When you speak to him, you find he is none other than Mariona's brother who has come to intercept the note and keep the lovers apart!

Aun Bernawa tells you, "I am waiting here for Hea Toneawa. I don't suppose he gave anything to you for my sister, Mariona?"

Aun Bernawa tells you, "Hm...let me see...that bakha Toneawa! If he dares to think that he can meet my little sister here in secret he's got another thing coming. She will never be corrupted by that melodramatic sissy! If I ever catch him lurking about in our arbor again, I'll cut off his OWN tail for him! He'll wish he'd never left Timaru for Ahurenga! And if he thinks I'll let Mariona run away with him across the water...Why, why I'll...Here, take this to him. I must hurry back to Timaru to alert my family of this ridiculous affair."

Rumor: Note from Aun Bernawa to Hea Toneawa

After handing you the note, he disappears! There's nothing to do now but return to Hea Toneawa at 43.7N 66.9W with the bad news. You can take the portal back to Greenspire at 40.6N, 82.4W. He doesn't take it well, and starts to cry.

Hea Toneawa tells you, "Alas! That tyrant Bernawa. Not only did he murder my friend Hea Rifona, he is keeping me from my true love! Some day he will live to feel my fury! Oh Mariona, oh Woe! Take this small gift...I will not need them soon."
