From the Hidden Vein event.

Originally thought to be a gift from the Arcanum, the Bronze Statues proved not to be protective, but a threat! Nuhmudira's sacrifices had given them life! Once they gained sentience, they embarked on a series of deadly town attacks.

During the Hidden Vein event Bhab, the Arcanum Tinkerer, spoke of how the statues could be defeated. He suggested looking underneath them for the statue workshop and destroying the native cast -- the mold from which they were being created. Bhab provided an Etheric Seal to assist in gaining access.

Bhab, Arcanum Tinkerer - 41.6S, 15.8E

Bhab can be found at Xarabuydun. To reach the Consortium, take the Al-Arqas portal from Yaraq at 22.8S, 0.7W then take the Monument Sands settlement portal at 33.6Sm 13.2E.

Bhab, Arcanum Tinkerer tells you, "The Arcanum's been quite busy studying all the bronze weaponry found on those crazy statues. We were hoping that if we found out how they were made, we'd be able to figure out how to destroy them. And we were in quite a pickle, I tell you! Turns out we were barking up the wrong tree all along. Asheron stopped by our workshop one day and gave us a little talking to. Told us a little bit about Empyrean transmutation magic from the old days of yore! Here's the secret--Asheron taught us how to create this thinga-ma-bob called an Etheric Seal. You plant it in a statue's pedestal, and it'll do a number on the stone--try it and you'll see!"
B
hab, Arcanum Tinkerer gives you Etheric Seal.
The Arcanum Tinkerer wiggles his eyebrows at you.

Bhab, Arcanum Tinkerer tells you, "I'll bet there's more than meets the eye underneath those statues--maybe it'll even lead to the place where they're being created! What's more, I've got a little theory I've been working on. These statues...well, there must be an original from which they've been molded, right? If you found the native cast and managed to destroy it...I'll bet you it'll have some kind of effect on the rest. If you find anything in there, bring it to me for a looksee--I can't get enough of tinkering!"

Sure enough, as the townspeople fought the statue menace, they discovered a weak spot at the base of the statue pedestals. By using the Etheric Seal on the weak spot, players gained access to the workshops below!

Bronze Statue of a Golem is liquified by your attack!
The barrier energy suffusing the portal beneath the Golem Statue's pedestal suddenly weakens, giving you access to the caverns beneath.
The Pedestal Weak Spot has been unlocked.
Your key has 2 uses left.

The dungeons were divided into 4 different foundry types, each with their own level restrictions. As the lowest level of Native Cast was defeated, the next level foundry would open up in retaliation. In addition the most difficult foundry, the Colossus Foundry, required players to be a Player Killer in order to enter. Once players found and killed the Native Casts, they received a global announcing the nullification of the statue! A bronze statue mechanism was also found on its corpse.

Blistered by lightning, Native Cast of a Bronze Reedshark falls!
Bruxy has penetrated the dark recesses beneath the cities of the world, and has destroyed the native cast from which all the Reedshark Statues were created! The statues in Yanshi and Nanto have been nullified and will threaten the citizens no more!

Shynji has penetrated the dark recesses beneath the cities of the world, and has destroyed the native cast from which all Drudge Statues were created! The statues in Holtburg, Shoushi, and Yaraq have been nullified and will threaten the citizens no more!

Daggerman of Death' has penetrated the dark recessed beneath the cities of the world, and has destroyed the native cast from which all the Gromnie Statues were created! The statues in Al-Arqas and Samsur! have been nullified and will threaten the citizens no more! And now, raging over the demise of the Mannikin native Cast, the Effigy Statues have opened the portals to their domain. Those who dare enter shall be subject to their vengeance.

Cx has penetrated the dark recesses beneath the cities of the world, and has destroyed the native cast from which all Statues of Thorsten Cragstone were created! The statues in Cragstone have been nullified and will threated the citizens no more!

Half a Loaf has penetrated the dark recessed beneath the cities of the world, and has destroyed the native cast from which the Sclavus Statues were created! The statue in Kryst have been nullified and will threated the citizens no more! And now, raging over the demise of the Effigy native Cast, the Mammet Statues have opened the portals to their domain. Those who dare enter shall be subject to their vengeance.

Once the final statues were nullified (May 16, 2002), fireworks shot out of the top of all the statues in celebration!

Darkage Syn has penetrated the dark recesses beneath the cities of the world, and has destroyed the native cast from which the Virindi Statues were created! The statue in Ayan Baqur has been nullified and will threaten the citizens no more! As the last town statue is destroyed, the townsfolk of all Dereth let loose in joyous celebration. Commemorating the triumph and valor of those who fought against the Statues and won, a pan-city fireworks event unparalled in the history of the Dereth [sic] sweeps across the land.

"This nullified shell is all that remains of the living Statue of a Golem that once threatened our peaceful town. Destroyed through the sole efforts of the citizens of Dereth, it remains as a testament to their valour.

This land is yours now."

Those who battled the Native Casts took their Unique Bronze Mechanisms back to Bhab, Arcanum Tinkerer and received a special Commemorative Statue as a reward!

You give Arcanum Researcher Unique Bronze Gear from a Native Cast.
Why, it's you [name]! I have heard of your valiant deeds from afar. The Arcanum extends its deepest gratitude to you for destroying the Statues menacing our towns. Take this gear to the Arcanum Tinker in the Consortium near Xarabaydun--he will fashion an award made especially for you.
Arcanum Researcher gives you Unique Bronze Gear from a Native Cast.

You give Bhab, Arcanum Tinkerer Unique Bronze Gear from a Native Cast.
With asudden [sic] gasp, the Arcanum Tinker looks up from the trophy just handed him and peers into your face. He is suddenly intoxicated with paroxyms of joy at the sight of you; if he were not such a hardy soul, he would lose consciousness.

YES! It is [name]! Back from the wars, I see, and you've proven yourself a mighty champion, no less! I shall fashion this into a trophy worthy of your stature!
The Tinker sets about his work, then turns to you when he is finished.
Bhar, Arcanum Tinkerer gives you Commemorative Bronze Statue.
Bhab, Arcanum Tinkerer tells you, "This unique statue is for you, to commemorate your valor for destroying the Statue threatening the fair cities of [towns]. Please accept it with the thanks and gratitude of all the citizens of New Aluvia. The townsfolk of Dereth are forever in your debt."
Hooray for [name]!

Currently, there are no level restrictions on the four Foundries and an etheric seal is no longer required. Simply double click the Pedestal Weak Spot to gain access to the Foundry portal. Anyone can go inside and fight the Bronze Statues within to obtain a Bronze Mechanism. When you turn them into Arcanum Researchers, you'll receive an xp reward. Turning them into Bhab, Arcanum Tinkerer yields a small Decorative Statue, a miniature of the one-time Commerative Statues. Each Bronze part is on a 24 hour timer. There's a 7 day timer on getting duplicate decorative statues.

Note: The timer applies to the bronze statue type, not to the name of the bronze mechanism. For example, you can pick up a Bronze Gear from the Drudge and a Bronze Gear from a Gromnie within the same 24 hour period, but you cannot pick up 2 Bronze Gears from Drudges.

You give Arcanum Researcher Bronze Gear from a Statue.
Arcanum Researcher tells you, "The Arcanum will surely be interested in this artifact! For this I shall reward you with 2000 experience. Thank you!"
You have been award 2000 experience.

Chattering excitedly, the tinker upends his worksack and starts rummaging through its contents.
Bhab, Arcanum Tinkerer tells you, "Gears, pliers, metal plates, screws, nuts and bolts, A-ha! Here we go..."
The tinker swiftly snaps the gear into an assemblage of his spare parts and turns to you triumphantly.
Bhab, Arcanum Tinkerer gives you Decorative Bronze Statue.

Bhab, Arcanum Tinkerer tells you, "A mini-statue, just for you. Enjoy!"

Most of the Statues are vulnerable to Acid attacks. You'll also be hit with War Attacks in the higher level foundries, so be prepared!

The Castling event brought changes to the Bronze Statues. Time and the elements did their work and all Bronze Statues became oxidized, appearing a blue-green in color.
