From Whack-a-mole of FF: Ulgrims Recall now drops you on.. *drumroll* Ulgrims Island [an island below the southern landbridge] where beer is free in a well outside. No monsters apart from lvl 1 mice in the basement.

If you get him Ulgrims Homebrew from down in the basement, he gives you a Casting Beer Stein. It casts stam2mana4. And generally looks like a beer stein :)

The island is located at 94.8S, 9.7W. If you don't have the recall spell, give the Drunken Madman outside Baishi (53.0S, 61.0E) Winter Lager from the barkeep in Nanto, and he'll summon Ulgrim’s house.

You give Drunken Madman Wah Chon's Winter Lager.
Drunken Madman tells you, "What's this? It doesn't look like sake."
Drunken Madman tells you, "Not Sake!? NOT Sake! YOU!!! I'll g..."
Drunken Madman tells you, "Oh right, you must want to see Ulgrim. He said people might be looking for him. Ok, I'll portal you there this time, but next time you better bring me sake!"

For those of you wondering where I got this Signstone, it was the original model for the larger version now in Shoushi. No one seemed to be using this old one so I borrowed it.

Ulgrim's House:
Ulgrim's House. Be Respectful!

Walk in and you'll see Fish Boots on a hook just inside door. They're scaly, yet comfortable! If you talk to Ulgrim, he'll send you to the basement to fetch him some Home Brew.

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Hey, since you're already bothering me you could at least make yourself useful and fetch me some of my home brewed stout from the basement."
Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Just take the portal to the lower basement and look for the glowing stout, you can't miss it. And don't go messing around with any of my things!"

Take the portal to the basement and get a mug of Home Brew (14 day timer). While you're there, check out the curiosity, the Holy Handgrenade of Antioch, on a hook in the first room.

You can also kill the brown and white mice until one drops Ulgrim's Golden Key (no timer).

There are two storage chests in the basement. One contains Stout, a Stein and Winter Lager. The other contains an Ust, Peppermint Sticks, a Nanto portal gem, and a Hangover Cure (random - you may need to camp the chest for a short bit).

Behind the barrels, a Gharu'ndim wall tapestry hides the seekrit Treasure Room Door! Go behind the tapestry (walk through it) and use the Golden Key on the Treasure Room Door (resistance 100, may be picked).

Prepare to be dazzled!! The treasure room is full of... treasure! Heaping piles of it! You'll also see pyreals arranged to form Ulgrim's initials. The treasure is on a 28 day timer. It may be hooked and given, or it can be salvaged for 8-10 units of Salvaged Gold (workmanship 10.00).

You'll also find a ring (from a pickable lockbox - 28 day timer, also opens with Ulgrim's Key) and Ulgrim's pack toy, a Golden Gromnie (no timer)!

Recall and return to Ulgrim with the Brew. But don't drink it!!  Rosso of LC reports that he accidentally drank Ulgrim's Brew and now can't get his casting stein for 2 weeks!

You give Ulgrim the Unpleasant Ulgrim's Home Brew.
Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Great! You found my Home Brew!"
You tell Fuelio, "You give Ulgrim the Unpleasant Ulgrim's Home Brew."
Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Ahh!!! If that aint the mothers milk to me! I've been saving that stout for a special occasion like this one."
Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "What special occasion? Why my coming home party of course!"
Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Let's see, I think I have a reward for you here."
Ulgrim the Unpleasant gives you Casting Stein.
Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Don't say I never gave you anything!"

The Stein may be given. You can also give Ulgrim the other items for entertainment!

You give Ulgrim the Unpleasant Hangover Cure.
Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "No thanks, I never get hangovers. You keep it."

Riiiight. ;-)

You give Ulgrim the Unpleasant Ring.
Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Aha! Another ring for my collection."
Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Wait, This ring looks familiar."
Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "This is MY RING!!!"
Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "You stoles it!!!"
Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Get out of my house you nasty thief!!!"

You give Ulgrim the Unpleasant Peppermint Stick.
Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Hey Peppermint! I recently made my own new recipe. Here try some of my new Peppermint Pumpkin Pie!"
Ulgrim the Unpleasant gives you Peppermint Pumpkin Pie.

You give Ulgrim the Unpleasant Wah Chon's Winter Lager.
Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Wah Chon's new brew! It's a bit spicier than what I commonly drink, but it has a wonderful hearty flavor that warms my wintered soul."
Ulgrim tips the stein and drains it in one long draught.
Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Gasp! Great Mattekar that's tasty! This inspires me to rhyme!"
Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "A larger lager lather is the taste I'd rather gather"
Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "when my lesser lager's suds are in the drink."
Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Then I mull the flavor over with it's hops and malts and clover"
Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "and again about the pub is what I think."

You give Ulgrim the Unpleasant Nelvaine's Olde Ispar Stout.
Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Hey, good stuff, thanks. Tough to find this around here. What? You're standing there looking at me with your mouth open. You expect me to say something special for this? I'm not a performing monkey!"

Ulgrim the Unpleasant says, "Ahem, I like my privacy when I can get it! Rotten tourists."
