It's not just the drudges who like to collect shiny baubles! The Thrungus are also adept at thievery. Speak to the Portal Guardian outside the front of Sanamar to find out how you can help return the King's stolen items.

NPC: Portal Guardian - 72.1N, 60.9W (Sanamar)

Portal Guardian tells you, "The Kingdom has need of new recruits. The thieving Thrungum have stolen many items of great value from the King's Royal Hall. You are to infiltrate the Thrungus Hovels and retrieve any items you may find and return them to me or one of my peers."
Portal Guardian tells you, "There are four Hovels on this island, and two items in each Hovel. I only require that you return one of the missing items from one of these dungeons. However, if you wish to retrieve all eight items, I will reward you for each one."
Portal Guardian tells you, "Consult this note for the locations of the Thrungus Hovels. And stick to the roads. There are dangerous creatures within these forests."

Rumor: Thrungus Hovel Locations

Each of the four dungeons are close by and are restricted to levels 1-20 (Note: you must be level 1-19 to receive your instructions from the Portal Guardian). The only creature you'll be fighting is the level 5 Thrungus. They attack with low level acid, bludgeoning and slashing damage and cast level I debuffs. Each dungeon has 2 missing items and a section of text. Each item is on a 24 hour timer.

Steaming Hovel - 73.1N, 65.6W

From the drop keep left around the pits, go down the ramp and you'll find the Stolen Platter in an old chest next to a surface portal. Exit the room north and go through the first intersection. Keep left and you'll find Part I of of The Thrungus text and then a Stolen Necklace in a 2nd chest by a surface portal.

Moist Hovel - 73.0N, 63.0W

When you exit the drop room to the south, you'll head down a ramp and come to a split. If you keep right all the way, you'll find the Stolen Frying Pan. Keep left and you'll find Part IV of the text and a Stolen Bracelet.

Sultry Hovel - 74.0N, 61.5W

When you reach the first room in the Sultry Hovel, you'll see two passage to exit. The west passage contains the Stolen Ewer. The southern passage has the Stolen Amulet and Part III of The Thrungus text.

Humid Hovel - 73.6N, 59.2W

The Humid Hovel also branches in two directions. At the first split, keep right for the Stolen Brew Kettle. If you take the southern split at the first intersection and keep right, you'll first find the text. When you reach a ledge, jump below and you'll find the Stolen Ring.

The Thrungus - Part II

Return to the Portal Guardian in Sanamar for your reward!

Note: You only have to turn in one of the items for the Bracelet Reward. If you give the guardian all 8 items, you'll end up with 4 of the bracelets and xp and pyreal for each.

You give Portal Guardian Stolen Frying Pan.
Portal Guardian tells you, "You have done well. The Kingdom of Viamont rewards its allies. You would do well to remember that."
You've earned 3,000 experience.
Portal Guardian gives you Viamontian Guardian Bracelet.
Portal Guardian tells you, "You may wish to visit Lorca Sammel next. I hear tell he has need of assistance. You can find him at 71.9N 60.9W. When you're done with Sammel, pay a visit to the Barkeeper Jean Vaden. He sells rumors you may find of interest."

You give Portal Guardian Stolen Necklace.
Portal Guardian tells you, "You have done well. The Kingdom of Viamont rewards its allies. You would do well to remember that."
You've earned 3,000 experience.
Portal Guardian gives you 200 Pyreals.
