Quests

These two quests are perfect for a Vassal & Patron to complete together. The rewards are well suited to lower level players, and the Amulet casts both Leadership Master II, and Fealty Other III. 

North Vanguard Outpost
The North Tumerok Vanguard Outpost (7.5 S, 0.0 W) is restricted to levels 12+ and is located just a short run from Samsur. There's a mountain range that will impede your progress if you're heading in a straight line. To avoid delays, follow the road through the mountain first, and then head west to the Outpost. The portal entrance is guarded by Drudge Slaves and a few Tumeroks. 

You'll be greeted by 4 more Drudge Slaves when you enter the dungeon. In addition, you'll find a bit of lore lying on the ground: Andry's Reconnaissance. This note mentions a second Tumerok Outpost lying to the South and reveals that the Amulet and Morningstar were gifts from the Virindi! 

To reach the end of the Outpost dungeon where the Vanguard Leader resides, you'll want to travel North whenever possible. At the first passage you'll encounter 5 Veteran Reedsharks and a few Drudge Slaves. As you enter the larger room, there will be Tumerok Fighters shooting at you from above.

At the next intersection, take the east passage, and then an immediate left, heading north again. As you enter the large room, you'll have to fight your way past 4 Tumerok Warriors. Again, there will be Tumeroks shooting at you from above.

Your next battle will be with about 5 Veteran Reedsharks, then a half dozen Warriors and a High Priest. At this point, take the east passage again, fighting past 2 Warriors, a Gladiator and a High Priest. From here, go North again. You'll be in a room with 5 Drudge Slaves and a High Priest. A room to the right and a room to the left contain a Warrior each. You're almost there! 

After killing the Warriors, take the passage straight ahead to the North and you'll find the Tumerok North Vanguard Leader, guarded by 3-4 Drudge Slaves. The Vanguard Leader's Amulet and the Vanguard Leader's Morningstar are on his corpse. The items are on a quest time and the Vanguard Leader spawns every five minutes. Both items can be dropped or given away.

South Tumerok Outpost
The South Tumerok Vanguard Outpost (45.9 S, 14.2 E) is restricted to levels 12+ and is located just a short run from Khayyaban. The portal entrance is guarded by Drudge Slaves, Tumerok Fighters and a few Red Wasps.

The entry room of the dungeon is safe and creature free. It's a good place to buff and prepare. You'll find a piece of text spawning on the ground: Andry's Rant. Sounds like Andry got himself into a little trouble with the Tumeroks! It's ok, Andry. We've all been there! ;-)

The path the Vanguard Leader is very straightforward. You simply want to head South. Then south from there. Then south, south, south again.

You'll first fight 5 Tumerok Fighters and 4 Veteran Reedsharks. Your next room contains 3 Tumerok Warriors and 2 High Priests. 

The following three rooms will each contain about 3-4 Tumerok Warriors. Following these battles you'll encounter a Gladiator, then 2 more High Priests. When you enter another room with a group of Warriors, you'll know you're almost there!

The Tumerok South Vanguard Leader is in a room guarded by several Warriors and Drudge Slaves. The Vanguard Leader's Amulet and the Vanguard Leader's Crossbow are on his corpse. The items themselves are on a quest timer and the Vanguard Leader spawns every five minutes. Both items can be dropped or given away. If you've already picked up an Amulet at the North Outpost, you will be unable to pick up a second one here.
