Alchanar of LC reports on a new Royal Guard in
Cragstone!
NPC:
Royal Guard
Qumasha - 26.0N, 49.1E
Text:
Count Dardante's Notes
Dungeon: Viamontian Esper Mine - 72.2N, 3.0E
(Levels 100+)
Dungeon: Viamontian Direlands Mine - 8.6N, 76.4W
(Levels 100+)
Dungeon: Dardante's Keep (Levels 100+)
Location: Count Dardante's Island - 91.0N, 38.4W (Levels 100+)
Royal Guard Qumasha tells you, "Ah! Perhaps you can
help me. The Queen has asked me to find out all I can about how Varicci
crafted that terrible weapon, Heartbreaker. Regardless of your background or
political affiliation, I hope you can appreciate how much of a menace
Varicci poses. Please journey to the Viamontian Esper Mine at 72.2 N, 3.0 E
and see if you can get the gem that the mine's commander carries. I should
be able to use that to forge a portal gem into the heart of Varicci's
research operation."
Response to level 92 player:
Royal Guard Qumasha tells you, "I'm sorry, I don't think you can help
me."
Padre-Adamo reports: "Hello there Maggie!
Padre-Adamo, Minnie the Minx, and Dark Kaito have just completed the
Elemental Necklace Quest from the Guard in Cragstone. Attached are
pictures taken from the quest. It was pretty cool and good fun.
Straightforward as well. On the quest we faced Adepts of Lightning,
Fire, Ice, and Acid. We also faced Viamontian Tribune, Abhorrent Eaters,
and Viamontian Commanders."
Quest details courtesy of TheKnight of SC:
Note: Before you start this quest make sure
and bring plenty of dispel potions/gems (level 7's). You're going to
need them!
1.Start in Cragstone and talk to Qumasha located by the Cragstone
Meeting Hall. She will tell you to go to coords: 72.2N X 3.0E. To get
there take a portal to crater and then take the Anadil settlement portal
at 69.5N, 4.0W which will drop you a short distance from the the portal.
2. Enter the portal located at 72.2N X 3.0E (Restricted to levels 100+)
If you like tie once inside to the portal as it is tieable and
recallable, as you will be recalling here a lot as it's a tough dungeon.
3. Proceed straight and then straight again under the overpass ignoring
the left/right passageways, then take a left at the end around and keep
right all the way to the end to the boss. If you get lost portal recall,
or first/secondary if you tied. This place is a massive maze so expect
to get lost a lot.
4. After you have your gem from the boss, return to Cragstone and hand
it to the NPC again. This time you'll be told to go to coords: 8.6N X
76.4W near Fort Teth. Either lifestone recall to Ayan, or if your not
lifestoned there, go to Shousi and take the Kara portal and then the
Kara Statue portal to Fort Teth.
5.Enter the portal located at 8.6N X 76.4W (Restricted to levels 100+)
If you like tie to this one now as it is also tieable and recallable.
Expect to be recalling here a lot also as it's a tough dungeon as well.
6. Again this one is a maze like area and you're sure to get lost some.
The only advice I have here is look for a hallway right around the
middle of one of the passageways and follow that through to the end to
the boss. This one is totally different layout wise from the first, so
the same route will not work here.
7. Again return to Cragstone and give the gem to the NPC and she will
hand you pack a portal gem in return and ask that you retrieve some
notes from this area. It is a summonable portal, but you must have done
the first two steps in order to use it. People can't just join on this
midway through as this flags you down as "You must complete a quest
before using this portal". The portal is non-recallable/non-summon/non-tieable.
This is VERY important because if you die and you're doing this one
without a fellow, you're not going to be able to recover without someone
else using their gem so you can get back there.
8. After using the gem and you go through, you are on a small island off
the coast of the Halatian Islands to the east shore. On the island is a
giant fort which you are tossed into the middle of, with a villa towards
the rear. You will battle your way past the various Viamonts to the
inside of the villa and down until you run into the Doorkeeper Knight.
Kill him and loot the key to use on the door. Or you can just use
lockpick on the door (it's 400 resist) and bypass the Doorkeeper Knight;
however, he is blocking the way so you might as well use the key on his
body.
9. After you enter the portal you will be underground and fighting more
Viamonts; however, this area is even more deadly then all the other
areas previously combined. You will be fighting all 4 Elemental Aspect
types so watch yourself! Head straight and then to the right past the
doors, just keep following the doors until you get to a hallway that
branches out into a large room. Now stop! There are all 4 elemental
aspects in this room as well as a Viamont, which are on very quick
respawn timers.
There is a desk here that you can bust open (or you can skip this part
if you have lockpick see note below) in order to get the key. Attack low
as high/med you'll just miss. Once broken grab the key and head to the
opposite side of the room and up the stairs. Use the key on the chest
and loot the note inside. Note *If you have lockpick you can run
straight to the other side of this dangerous room and just lockpick the
chest open* You'll notice a Mana Barrier here which you can't attack.
10. Once you have the note, it's back to Cragstone for a final time.
Hand the note to the NPC for your reward of 9,647,500 XP (unknown if
this is a % based number or just a flat number for now) and your
Necklace Of Elemental Adepts. If you don't want the Necklace. you can
turn it back in for an XP amount.
You give Royal Guard Qumasha Esper Mine
Commander's Gem.
Royal Guard Qumasha tells you, "Ah, how
disappointing. It appears that the Esper Mine Commander's gem only has
part of the information I need to access Count Dardante's Keep. There is
a second installation, in the Direlands... at 8.6N, 76.4W. The commander
of that mine should have a gem, similar to this one, that will allow me
to forge a portal gem."
You give Royal Guard Qumasha Direlands Mine
Commander's Gem.
Royal Guard Qumasha tells you, "Yes, the Direlands
Mine commander's gem. This is what I needed. Allow me to fuse and
enchant the gem..."
Royal Guard Qumasha chants softly over the stones,
magically fusing the two stones into one.
Royal Guard Qumasha gives you Count Dardante's Island Portal Gem.
Royal Guard Qumasha tells you, "The gem I have
given to you should create a portal to take you into the stronghold of
Count Dardante, who I believe was instrumental in the creation of
Heartbreaker. I have heard that Dardante keeps his notes in a locked
chest in his office. If you cannot pick the lock, you will have to
ransack his desk to find his key."
You give Royal Guard
Qumasha Count Dardante's Notes.
Royal Guard Qumasha tells you, "This is valuable
information. We should be able to use this to take measures to keep
Varicci from creating more of those fiendish blades. I thank you."
You've earned 9,647,500 experience.
Royal Guard Qumasha gives you Necklace of the Elemental Adepts.
Royal Guard Qumasha tells you, "This
necklace may be useful to you, should you have to encounter any more of
those Viamontian Elemental Adepts. If you do not find it useful, give it
to me and I shall reward you with knowledge to improve yourself in
whatever way you see fit."
