From the
Assault
event. Sooner or
later it had to happen; a developer has his eye on a prime piece of real estate.
But his plans include moving the local Banderlings off of a holy shrine, by any
means possible! Where's the ACEDL when you need it?!
Rid the Shrine of the
Banderling Ancient Spirit and return an evil Oily Stone to Entrepreneur Cyphis
Suldow for a reward!
To begin this quest speak to
Cyphis Suldow in Stonehold at 68.8N, 21.6W.
To reach Stonehold, take the Azaroth
Settlement portal from Qalaba'r at 74.8S, 17.8E. You'll exit at 84.1N,
31.1W, a short run from a portal to Stonehold located at 85.8N, 27.6W. You
can also take the portal from inside
Umbrall
Hall on the Vesayan Isles.
Cyphis Suldow tells you, "Greetings! I'm Cyphis
Suldow and you are? Nevermind, who you are is unimportant. The important
thing is I need some help and you seem to be more than qualified to do so."
Cyphis Suldow tells you, "I want to build a resort for the weary adventurer
and I found the perfect spot just to the east of here."
Cyphis Suldow tells you, "The only problem is that some banderlings have a
village there. That is where you come in my friend. Go and...relocate those
banderling."
Cyphis Suldow tells you, "Come back when the job is done. I'll give you a
nice reward, but I'll need proof that the banderlings won't come back."
If you speak to Cyphis again,
you'll receive this message:
Cyphis Suldow tells you, "You're
back. Any luck getting those banderlings to relocate their village?"
Cyphis Suldow tells you, "No? Well hurry up then. If you don't do it I'll hire
someone else who is more persuasive."
Cyphis Suldow tells you, "Remember, the banderling village is east of here. I
don't care how you do it, but get those banderlings to leave."
The
Banderling Village is located at 72.8N,
6.8W. You can reach it by taking the Dire's Door Estates
settlement portal from Stonehold at 69.6N, 20.2W. You'll exit at 78.1N, 16.9, a
brisk run from the village.
You can also reach the Village by
taking the Neydisa Castle portal from Holtburg at 41.9N, 33.4E, then the Anadil
portal at 66.4N, 14.3E.
You'll find a Crude Stone Statue
guarded by a few
Amethyst Gromnies,
Banderling Chanters and a
Banderling Spirit Dancer. The Spirit Dancer carries a Crude Carving. When you give the Carving to
the Crude Statue, a portal to the
Banderling Shrine will appear (cannot be
summoned, restricted to levels 60+)!
Map:
Banderling
Shrine
You give Crude
Statue Crude Carving.
The air behind the statue begins to shimmer until suddenly a portal to the
Banderling Shrine appears.
Inside the dungeon, you'll be
looking for three
Banderling Spirit Seeker. Each carries a trophy that when
combined, create a key. All three items are on a 7 day timer. You'll also
encounter numerous
Banderling Chanters
and
Ruby
Gromnies,
so bane for fire damage!
Note: You must have lockpick
trained in order to create the key.
The first Spirit Seeker carries a
Ring of Vines. It can be found in a large open room in the upper level of the
dungeon. Keep left from the entrance.
The second Spirit Seeker carries
a Stone Emblem. As you head down into the Shrine, bearing right from the
entrance, you'll come to a wide sloping
area. The Banderling is at the bottom of the first slope, before you hit the
wooden bridge.
Once you cross the bridge, you'll
be in the Gromnie area. Head deeper in moving west. The third Spirit Seeker is
located around the corner from the surface portal.
Once you have your three items,
combine them as described into a Banderling Holy Symbol. You'll get a skill
check warning (lockpick) asking you if you'd like to continue.
You successfully
attach the Ring of Vines to the Stone Emblem to create a Ringed Emblem.
You successfully
attach the Murky Gem to the Ringed Emblem to create a Banderling Holy Symbol.
The Shrine Door is located just
past the surface portal. Use the Holy Symbol on the door to enter the final
room. Inside you'll find a large Banderling Idol resting on a platform
surrounded by molten lava. If you touch the idol, you'll disturb the spirits of
the Shrine and receive the following message:
A cacophony of
voices can be heard growing ever louder until the noise threatens to deafen you.
Two
Ruby Gromnies will spawn,
along with a
Banderling Ancient Spirit!
Kill the Ancient Spirit and retrieve the Oily Stone
it carries, then return to Stonehold for your reward. After, of course, you bow
your head in shame for defiling a holy place!!You give Cyphis Suldow Oily
Stone.
Soul Taker says, "Malar Zhavik"
Cyphis Suldow tells you, "Those heathens were worshipping some kind of spirit,
huh? I guess with you killing their 'god' they won't be coming back."
Cyphis Suldow tells you, "Good job! Here's a little something for your
troubles."
You've earned 360,000
experience.
Cyphis Suldow gives you Cyphis Suldow's Half Moon Spear.
Cyphis Suldow tells you, "Hey! Wait a minute. I can't drop this stone..."
Next up... the wetlands!
