Brewmaster Quest

Throne of Destiny brought some major cooking love! By completing a quest, players can obtain a brew kettle which allows them to make their own beer, including some with beneficial spells (as well as some with some not-so-beneficial ones ;-)!

To begin, speak to Rand in Sanamar.

NPC: Rand - 71.8N, 60.8W (Sanamar)

Rand tells you, "I see I have yet another brewing apprentice to deal with. Ever since the King shattered the barrier to the mainland, you people have been showing up in droves."
Rand tells you, "Well, if you really want to learn the intricacies of brewing, you'll have to do me a favor first."
Rand tells you, "A band of Drudges stole my brewing bible. I need some hardy soul to find it for me. Last I saw them, the dirty thieves were headed in the direction of the Waterfall Cave at 84.0N 75.4W."
Rand tells you, "Return that brewing bible to me, and I'll fill your head with the arcane secrets of the brewing world!"

Waterfall Cave - 84.0N, 75.4W

To reach the dungeon, take the Cataracts of Sabella portal at 75.9N, 61.3W. Keep to the right as you head down and eventually you'll begin to see Banderlings. Take a right at the split, then keep right again as you head further down. Jump into the pit and keep right again. After the large banderling room, you'll head down once more. The Brewmaster's Spine spawns on the ground near the surface portal. You'll also find a note lying on the ground.

Note: The spine respawn is long (15+ minutes)!

Remote Empyrean Vault - 81.7N, 71.2W

The note gives a hint as to the next dungeon. Run from Silyun to reach the Remote Empyrean Vault. You can reach Silyun via the portal from Sanamar at 76.5N, 58.6W or by purchasing a gem from Luressi di Maki for an I note. To reach the cover head down the ramp keeping right, and make a U down a 2nd ramp to the north, then a 3rd to the south. Again hug the right wall until you descend the ramp to the next level. The cover spawns on the floor near a pile of bones.

Viamontian Garrison - 75.3N, 73.8W

To reach this dungeon, take the Westwatch Outpost portal from Sanamar at 71.2N, 61.3W. This dungeon has a portal To Sanamar inside (exits at 72.1N, 60.9W)

From the drop, head through the Othoi style door and just keep to the right through the eater section until you head back up. When you reach the area with several doors, you'll find the cover spawning in the middle east room guarded by two Fiun.

Lola's Den - 91.9N, 69.6W
--Levels: 1+

Stay left all the way to the bottom and you'll find the pages on a pedestal near the surface portal.

Note: This dungeon spells out LOLA in another section! At the end, you'll find Lola herself, an Eater who obviously has a penguin sweet tooth!

Once you have all the parts, combine them into the Brewmaster's Bible, then return it to Rand for your reward!

You attach the Brewmaster's Spine to the Brewmaster's Front Cover.
You attach the Incomplete Brewmaster's Bible to the Brewmaster's Back Cover.
You attach the Nearly Complete Brewmaster's Bible to the Brewmaster's Pages. You now have a complete Brewmaster's Bible!

You give Rand Rand's Brewmaster's Bible.
Rand tells you, "Wonderful! You found it!"
Rand tells you, "I see I owe you a reward. Please accept this masterfully crafted Brew Kettle. If you continue down the path of the brewmaster, you'll come to love and cherish this most wondrous item as I have."
Rand gives you Brew Kettle.
Rand tells you, "As for those arcane secrets, keep this to yourself, my friend."
Rand gives you Brewmaster's Bible.
You've earned 50,000 experience.

Read the text for basic instructions on brewing. Supplies can be purchased in Sanamar. Vibrant and Ultra Green Hops can be found in Eastwatch Outpost and Westwatch Outpost, along with better yeast. Use a Baking Pan to roast barley to make stouts. Use Tusker Spit for advanced recipes.
