The Yaraq - Congratulations starter quest leads into the Cove Apple quest. As you deliver notes to Mara al-Luq, you'll hear the outpost residents mention her father who lives nearby. Speak to Lubziklan al-Luq at his villa outside of Yaraq and retrieve items stolen by drudges for a reward!

Rumor: Directions to the al-Luq House

When you visit Mara's father, you'll find that all is not well in Lubziklan al-Luq's household (22.4S, 1.9W). Those pesky drudges have been stealing all his cove apples and related goods!

Lubziklan al-Luq tells you, "Can I help you, traveler? Well, but perhaps you can help me."
Lubziklan al-Luq tells you, "I am the owner of the orchards, and the purveyor of delicious and sundry goods made from the finest Cove apples. Lately, though, I am beleaguered by a pesky band of drudges that has been stealing all my goods! I need someone who is willing to defeat these drudges and recover my goods for me."
Lubziklan al-Luq gives you A List of Items.
Lubziklan al-Luq tells you, "Here is a list of what they have taken. Return these items to me and I will reward you appropriately."
Lubziklan al-Luq tells you, "I believe that these drudges are holed up in the Sea Temple Catacombs, on a plateau at the mouth of the harbor. But rumor has it that there is an easier entrance, through the Rat's Nest just northwest of town."
Lubziklan al-Luq tells you, "If you need more help finding either location, you can buy directions from Jubal at the bar in Yaraq proper."

I'm not so sure I'd want those items back, especially after Drudges have dragged them into a dungeon and put their grubby paws all over them, but Lubziklan doesn't seem to mind. Bring back that pie!

Before heading to the temple, you may want to bind yourself to the Yaraq Lifestone. You can also purchase protective gems from Drawohan the Gem Seller and services from the local healer at 21.4S, 1.6W.

If you head to the orchard at 21.0S, 2.1W, you'll see a group of Drudges lurking there by the portal to the Red Rat's Next. Before heading in, kill the 2 Drudge Slinkers and the 4 Skulkers and one will be carrying a red delicious Cove Apple.

Inside the Rat Lair, the portal to the Sea Temple Catacombs is straight ahead. You'll enter right inside the dungeon. If you take the surface portal, you'll find yourself high on a hill at 20.2S, 4.4W.

The 8 items requested by Lubziklan al-Luq can be found in the following locations (24 hour timer):

Perfect Cove Apple: From the entrance keep right until you reach a large room. The apple is on the floor near some crates in the NW coner.

Cove Apple Baking Pan: Head back to the entrance and this time go straight heading north. At the bottom of the ramp keep right until a four way intersection. The baking pan is on the floor down the east passage.

Aged Cove Apple Cider: At the four way intersection go west, and then take an immediate right heading north. The cider is near a barrel guarded by a drudge.

Hot Apple Pie: Once again backtrack to the four way intersection and go south. Follow the passage until you see a wooden door on your left. The Pie is on the floor in the NE corner of the room guarded by a Drudge Robber and a Tan Rat.

Hard Cove Apple Cider: From the pie room continue east. You'll reach a T at the bottom of the stairs. Take a left into the room with the hard cider.

Cove Apple Wine: From the hard cider room head north. Go east through 2 large rooms until you reach a door leading to a surface portal. The wine is on the floor across from the portal.

Cove Apple Paring Knife: Head through the east door of the room with the portal. You'll find the knife in the NW corner of the large open room.

Perfectly Aged Cider: The final item is in a Strongbox in the room through the door to the east.

When you have all 8 items, you can lifestone recall back to Yaraq to deliver your items to Lubziklan al-Luq for your reward! (Did I mention there was a rat near the pie?!)

You've earned 3,000 experience.

You give Lubziklan al-Luq Aged Cove Apple Cider.
Lubziklan al-Luq tells you, "Ah, some of the good stuff! You have my thanks!"
You've earned 3,000 experience.

You give Lubziklan al-Luq Hot Apple Pie.
Lubziklan al-Luq tells you, "Thank you for returning this pie! It's even still hot - that was quick work!"
You've earned 3,000 experience.
Lubziklan al-Luq tells you, "My daughter baked one of her pies for you! She makes the finest in the A'mun Desert. Not that there's much competition out here, mind. But don't tell her I said that!"
Lubziklan al-Luq gives you Mara's Healing Pie.

Lubziklan al-Luq tells you, "Ah, some of the best stuff! You have my thanks!"
You've earned 3,000 experience.

Lubziklan al-Luq tells you, "My special apple knife! You know, I made this myself. It's especially sharp, so that I don't bruise the apples as I cut them. Thank you so much!"
You've earned 3,000 experience.

You give Lubziklan al-Luq Cove Apple Wine.
Lubziklan al-Luq tells you, "I don't drink this myself, but it's popular with the mages. Thank you for returning it to me."
You've earned 3,000 experience.

Lubziklan al-Luq tells you, "Ah, some of the very good stuff! You have my thanks!"
You've earned 3,000 experience.

You'll be treated with another pie if you return the apple that was found on the drudge in the Orchard!

You give Lubziklan al-Luq Cove Apple.
Lubziklan al-Luq tells you, "Ah, yes. You must have found this in the orchard. Allow me to gift you with one of my daughter's pies."
Lubziklan al-Luq gives you Warm Apple Pie.

Don't try to fool Lubziklan, however. He knows his apples from his oranges!

You give Lubziklan al-Luq Apple.
Lubziklan al-Luq tells you, "I know not where you found this, but it is not from my orchard. My Cove Apples are the finest in Dereth."

In addition to the fabulous rewards, Lubziklan will also provide you with the rumor for another of Yaraq's starter quests.

Lubziklan al-Luq tells you, "You know, since you've been so helpful to me, perhaps you could also help my friend Ma'yad ibn Ibsar. Her brother is missing, and she is very worried."

Yaraq was formed when the wizard Raqur al-Hayra led a group of Gharu'ndim across the A'mun Desert to a beautiful cove along the coast of the Inner Sea. He plunged his staff into the earth and fresh water burst forth. Alas, Raqur was killed by a Mu-miyah archmage before the town was completed, so he never had the chance to see this charming oasis develop into the thriving town it is today.
