Town Crier tells you, "Some young man just told me that the Banderlings of the Direlands have started an underground Niffis-fighting ring. Do those damnable Banderlings have no sense of decency at all? My word."

Rumor: The Littlest Niffis

The Niffis Fighting Pits gem is one of the rare drop portal gems introduced during The Calm event. It drops off either a Banderling Predator, a Banderling Scalper or a Banderling Aggressor, found in the Western Direlands. When you use the gem, you'll be portaled inside a dungeon, Niffis Fighting Pits!

Note: make sure you're outside on a flat area before using your rare gem! You may wish to test the area with a starter town gem before using your Drudge Fight quest gem!

It's a familiar tale (not really). Two star-crossed lovers, one on a quest to prove her worth. Reijiri, the Littlest Niffis, adored by the human Weijin Shou, has entered the underground Niffis-fighting ring created by the Banderlings. Give her a letter penned by her love and she'll give you a Wallbound Niffis in return. This house decoration casts the spell Inky Armor on you when used. It increases your natural armor by 5 points for 1 hours!

Timer: 7 days

When you enter the dungeon, pick up the note lying on the ground.

The dungeon is very straightforward with only one route down. You'll be fighting high level Banderlings inside. When you near the bottom, you'll find a room with 2 Niffis Fighters and a Runed Chest (no lockpick). The floor is covered with blood. Go down one more level to find Reijiri, the Littlest Niffis. She's located at the end of a long hallway lined with doors. Hand her the Heartfelt Plea for your reward.

Reijiri's tentacles quiver, as if itching to lash out. You get the feeling this is a well-trained and well-disciplined fighter and you know, deep in your heart, that she will not hurt you now. No, she will not. She's saving it for the ring.

You give Reijiri Heartfelt Plea.
Reijiri ponders the note for a long moment. She looks you in the eye and your heart breaks at the sadness you glimpse beneath those dark, melancholy orbs. This is a fighter who has abandoned those that love her. And for what? Glory? Acceptance? Approval from those who would use her for naught but entertainment? Or worse, for profit?
Reijiri regards you for a time, then nods her head. You don't quite understand what passes between you, but you think it feels a little something like gratitude. Perhaps you have helped this poor, small Niffis. Perhaps you have pointed out the path - the path which all of us seek - towards contentment.
Reijiri gives you Wallbound Niffis.

Don't hand the Wallbound Niffis back to Reijiri, or you'll hurt her feelings!!

You allow Reijiri to examin the Wallbound Niffis.
Reijiri throws the Wallbound Niffis back in your face. It is clear that she is angry with you for rejecting her gift.
