Yanshi has been rebuilt, but already there are plots against the town. To begin the quest speak to Royal Guard Adrana.

--NPC: Royal Guard Adrana - 12.3S, 42.4E (Yanshi)

Royal Guard Adrana tells you, "Ah, you might be just the person to help me. As you can see, Yanshi has been rebuilt, stronger than ever. But I suspect that there are some who are making ready to tear down all that the townsfolk have worked hard to achieve. Please travel to the nearby granite quarry at 11.8S, 39.0E and see if there are any suspicious characters about. Bring me any evidence you can find of plots against the new town."
Royal Guard Adrana tells you, "Have you been to the Granite Quarry yet? The cave opening is at 11.8S, 39.0E."

As Adrana instructs, head to the quarry nearby. Kill the Underminer Leader inside and retrieve the note off his corpse. (To shorten your run time, buy a few Yanshi portal gems before you begin.)

To reach the leader, go left at the split and bear east (use fire attack).

Royal Guard Adrana tells you, "You've got the traitors' notes? Please, hand it over. I shudder to think what they may be up to."
You give Royal Guard Adrana Underminer Notes.
Royal Guard Adrana tells you, "Unbelievable! Why would people willingly betray their own town to that mad dog Varicci? It is as I feared. Please, enter the Yanshi Lower Undermine portal at the quarry and root out the cause of this trouble. It will not be enough to dispose of the Eaters that await -- you must fight through to the Olthoi Swarm Matron at the center of this plot and destroy her. Bring me the matron's claw, and I will reward you."
Royal Guard Adrana tells you, "The tunnels beneath Yanshi await your investigation. Have we not already discussed this? Please, hurry, time is of the essence. The portal should be right by the entrance to the Granite Quarry, at 11.8S, 39.0E."

Head back to the quarry, and this time take the right split to reach the portal to the Lower Undermine.

Yanshi Lower Undermine
--Levels: 100+
--Creatures: Repugnant Eater, Abhorrent Eater

Head E from the drop then go up the ramp to west. Take the south passage and keep left. Go straight through the  next two 4 way splits, then keep right heading NE. Head up the ramp to the south then take the south passage, keeping right until you reach the portal to the next section.

Yanshi Upper Undermine
--Levels: 100+
--Creatures: Olthoi Swarm Warrior, Olthoi Swarm Mutilator, Yanshi Swarm Matron

To reach the Matron, take the SE passage from the drop then go left heading E. Go through the olthoi door then up the ramp heading north. You'll pass through a large room, then exit to the west keeping right. Go through a second room and take the east passage. Keep right up a ramp, then make a left heading first south, then east. You'll reach an olthoi door to the north, then just head up the ramp to the Matron area. Once you kill her (3 minute respawn), retrieve the claw and return to Adrana in Yanshi for your reward!
