This quest continues the fight against the Viamontian invasion of Glenden Wood. See the Glenden Wood Invaders quest for background details.

This quest has three level restricted sections: 80-99, 100-129 and 130+. To begin, speak to Tomo Genza. She'll tell you about the Viamont Portal Platforms right outside of town and will ask your help to put them out of the commission.

NPC: Tomo Genza - 29.9N, 27.1E

LEVELS 130+

Tomo Genza tells you, "The Captains of the Royal Guard have reported that there are three Viamont Portal Platforms in the woods outside of town. I want you to investigate the South Portal Platform and if possible put it out of commission. Do whatever it takes to prevent the Viamonts from reinforcing their foothold in Glenden Woods."
Tomo Genza tells you, "I wouldn't advise going on this mission alone though. Find others with skills equal to yours to accompany you. Have them talk to me before you leave so I know who is in the field. When your done come back and report to me, I may have a reward for you."
Tomo Genza tells you, "You can find the Portal Platform at 27.2N 27.9E"

Tomo Genza tells you, "You still haven't completed the task I sent you to do. You need to find out how the Viamonts are reinforcing their troops and stop them."

Viamont Portal Platform - 27.2N, 27.9E
--Creatures: Viamontian Commander, Viamontian Tribune, Ravenous Eater

When you approach the platform, you'll be attacked by Eaters and Viamontians. The platform itself is flanked by three portal pillars. The pillars must be attacked and defeated before you can enter the portal. Once they're down, the portal will turn red and your group may enter (you do not have to be in a fellowship to enter).

Viamont Staging Area Portal - 27.2N, 27.9E

From the drop head north and go through a long room. Take the NW exit from the room and go down a ramp. Take the south passage down in the middle of the room and continue south to a hallway with cells on either side.

This room contains a series of levers which you'll use to eventually open the door on the north end of the room. First use the lever in the center of the room to open the NW cell. Use the left of the 2 levers on the wall to open the SE door. Use the left wall lever again to open the NE door, then use the right lever to open the SW door. The right lever in this room opens the north door.

Follow the passage to a small room with another lever. Use the lever, jump below and head through the now open west door.

You'll next come to a bridge area blocked by several doors. You can attack and kill them or you can jump over them! Take the ramp north and keep to the right until you reach another small lever room. Pull the lever and jump below then take the now open east passage.

Take the passage to a grated area overlooking an eater pit below. Jump below and kill the door to the north. Keep north up the ramp to yet another small lever room. Use the lever, jump below and take either open door on the south wall.

After heading down the ramp to the north, you'll be swarmed by many eaters and Viamontians. Kill as many as possible for continuing north down a long hall. At the other end of the hall is another large spawn and a locked door. Find and kill the Unchained Knight and retrieve the Viamont Staging Area Key from its corpse (5 min. re-spawn, only 1 key required for group). Use they on the door to open it.

After a few more ramps, you'll come to a room with a Royal Vivimancer trapped behind a Mana Barrier. Kill the barrier, then the Vivimancer which will cause the barrier on the west wall to fall. Head down the last series of ramps and you'll find a locked room full of Captives. Use the key a second time to unlock the door. Speak to a Captive to be flagged for your reward. (You only need to speak to one; they all give the same response.)

The Locked Gate has been unlocked.
Your key is used up.

NPC: Captive

Captive tells you, "Thank goodness your here. We were taken from our houses and locked down here. Every so often one of us is lifted through that grating up there so the mages can... do something to them. All we know is that they scream as if they are dying."
Captive tells you, "You should go now, we have some... business to take care of with those mages."

Portal recall back to GW and speak to Tomo Genza for your reward!

Come back in a few weeks and I will send you back to show them the flaw in their plans. We will not stand idly by and watch as Varicci takes what little we have in this world."

Note: If you don't want the bow, you can return it to Tomo Genza in exchange for the Fleet Strike Gauntlets. If you don't want the gauntlets, you can hand them to Tomo for an experience reward!
