Introduced during
From the
Darkness Born.
First, gather 6 items: Spear,
Girth, Eye, Hand, Warpaint, and Necklace, to get 6 thanking stones (Casino)
and the items activated. Second, get the Untranslated Note from the burun in
swamp dires to have acces to Toad Idol Dungeon. You will get the 3
fellowship buffs and also the mossie statue. If you brought Bleeargh the 6
items, you will be able to use the Statue six times (mansion item only) to
learn all Item Magic spells.
Thanks to Damin Sarin of FF, Blarrg of WE, Etana of WE, Masked Jackal of
TD!
Julian's Touch of TD reports: "In diresland
swamp, there are Guruk spawning, and the Burun Ruuk Seer drops a
Untranslated Writing. Give it to the Aun in Arwic"
You give Translator Aun Laokhe Untranslated Writing.
Translator Aun Laokhe tells you, "A vile beast! What
villainy lurks in the hearts of these creatures! There is no word in the
Tonk language to describe the atrocity that these beasts can manage."
Translator Aun Laokhe gives you Note to Torgluuk.
Translator Aun Laokhe tells you, "It appears that the
rumors that have been spreading through Elysatah's court could well be
true."
Aun Laokhe sighs.
Translator Aun Laokhe tells you, "Apparently there has
been some activity in the Direlands Swamp in an area once populated heavily
by the Mosswarts. The Mosswarts have reached out and asked us for
assistance, as you might know. Bleeargh, an emissary that sought out your
people recently, went before Elysatah and asked for assistance. She told the
Mosswart that they would afford him passage so long as he and his tribe
remained peaceful."
Translator Aun Laokhe tells you, "I speak of this because many believe that
the Mosswart exodus is related to the increase of the Burun, especially in
the direlands. I think that it would be better for me to write this down for
you."
Translator Aun Laokhe gives you Of the Burun.
Translator Aun Laokhe tells you, "Please, look
into this matter for all our sakes."
Note: Untranslated Writing may also be found in
dungeons and on other Buruk, including Burun Ruuk Fiends, Burun Ruuk Louts,
Ruffians and Seers.
You succeed in covering your
hands and arms in foul smelling muck.
First
you have to take the hookable portal from blackmire 1, run around and find a
large spawn of guruk's from boor's to crushers etc, with louts and seer's
etc, one will drop a note. Turn that in to the aun
in arwic and you get two notes and flagged to enter toad at 39.3S, 50.9W
(close to bm 1 portal drop). after you have your translated notes, head back
to toad and use it, you'll portal inside, where there are guruk's right on
ya, so buff outside. we took the left hall first, backtracked a bit after we
found each end room that had the scrolls on the floor before each statue

Ja'afar al-Saladin
of SC's Carved Mosswart Statue! Thanks also to Cyrano, Arbo of HG!
The stone appears to be unresponsive. Perhaps you are not attuned to ebb and
flow of item enchantment. You will need mystic knowledge to access the
magical teaching within this stone. Being that the statue is of a mosswart,
perhaps you will need knowledge passed to you from a mosswart mystic.
Hi Maggie,
(add in normal praise for your site). I've found out what the Mosswart
Statue is for. When you hook it and then do the quests for Bleeargh he tells
you that now you have to find a stone that teaches you big good magic. I've
done all the 6 quests he is involved with and then used the Statue at our
mansion. It taught me ALL item spells from level 1-6 !!! So I guess that
each quest is for one of the Levels (I used it 6 times and it filled my
spellbook with all spells of one level each time). I don't know which quest
is for which level of spells but I guess the level restrictions of the
dungeons can give a clue to that.
Keep up the great work,
Sgt Detrius of HG
Ja'afar al-Saladin of SC sends the following update:
Level I - Spear
Level II - Mace
Level III - Necklace (This is where you get
Lifestone Sending, btw)
Level IV - Eye
Level V - Loincloth
Level VI - War Paint

A Carved Mosswart Statue |
|
This stone throbs with magical power. To the
trained item mage, the magic within the stone appears to be attuned to
the School of the Right Hand. Perhaps if one were attuned to Item Magic
in some way, they could benefit from using this stone. |
