The Acid Cistern Core opened early this morning in Ayan Baqur. A few first hand reports, screenshots, and the Martine text are now available on the Cisterns page! Thanks to everyone who sent info!

I may be slacking on the updates again, but it's only because I am hard at work, researching a quest for a new write-up. Sadly, I am *stumped*!! If anyone knows how to get through the Mage Academy without 1) jumping on the head of a Copper Golem (or the head of a Banderling, or on a lantern); 2) attacking a Wood Golem through a wall; or 3) using a log out trick to get through a locked door, please send me an email and I'll be your friend forever! ;-)

My new computer is (for the most part) up and running! Yay! To get back into the swing of things, I've added another of the old lowbie quests to the Quests section: the Metal Round Shield from the Eastham Sewers! Thanks to Link from Hyrule of LC for bringing it out of obscurity!

A few more Tesserae and other miscellaneous updates added to the site.

Yes, I miss you too!! As I mentioned in my Letters section earlier this month, I've been having a few hardware issues. My first round of fixes didn't quite do it, so I ordered a new mother board and chip (and a new video card while I was at it! ;-). My box arrived today, so if all goes well this weekend with my mixing and matching, I should be back to updating in a few days. I do have the laptop to surf and do email, but I prefer working on the site on my desktop.

I have updated the Tesserae quest in the Quests section (still missing a few of the icons). -Sol Chen is helping to "audit" the section so that I have a 2nd pair of eyes checking over everything and compiling which ones are still in the incomplete "partial" stage and which ones may have outdated information. More coming soon!

As many of you have written to tell me, the search function just sucked! Haha. Well, it worked great for any content that was over 6-8 months old, since that's the last time the indexes were updated. The problem had to do with the Search function being a Front Page feature; the site has simply gotten too large to use the front page extensions. If I wanted to update the indexes, I either had to republish the entire site, or have the hosting company do it server side. Neither choice was practical on an ongoing basis.

So I fooled around with scripts and indexing spiders this weekend, working on an alternative. Then my vassal, Ned Cleversun, mentioned that google had a free "search this site only" feature. I gave it a try and it works great! The very newest content may not come up, but you can always find that here, on the New Stuff page. For the time being, I hope that alleviates some of issues with searching the site. I also plan to add a Site Map in the near future.

Miscellaneous updates to the Atonement patch page! Currency page in the Shopping section updated with the new trade notes. Tassets added to the Armor section. A few more Hollow Weapons stats updated and the new coordinates for the Yanshi vendors added to the Vendor Rates page in the Bargains Section!

The attack against Gaerlan has begun! A new portal to the Ice Cistern Core (restricted to levels 20-40) has opened in Qalaba'r! Thanks to Rivan II of WE and Rogue of HD for the news!

The Skills and Professions pages in the Careers section have been updated the changes from the last few patches and the replacement of the appraisal skills with tinkering.

The various weapons pages in the Sports section updated with the new Deadly Hollows, updated Hollow stats and Phantom weapons. I'm still missing a few of the updated stats. You can visit the Stuff I'd Like page for a list of items I still need! Thank you!

The horror! The horror! Numerous updates to the Atonement patch page! Covenant Armor, quest timers, imbuing, a new surveyor, Yanshi destroyed, and elementals everywhere! I predict the master mage in Martine's Retreat will be making a killing this month! ;-) Hollow Weapons quest page has been updated with the new Deadly Hollows and some of the updated Hollow stats. Phantom Weapons added to the Ravenous Weapons quest page. And, as usual, all the latest from the Town Criers and Ulgrim the Unpleasant.

Want an extra 3 points added to your Magic Defense? The Scroll of Dark Rain, last of the boss creature quests from Keep Your Enemies Closer, has finally been buffed and fluffed.

The last of the salvage materials, that elusive turquoise, added to the Tinkering page. Many other misc. updates.

I've been working out the last kinks with my computer issues over the weekend. Just about everything is up and running... except AC! Isn't that how it always goes? I did, however, manage to finally log in, just in time to catch Danier leveling to 126! Whoo-hoo!  He wanted me to totally redo the site to honor him, like I did when my vassal, Ned Cleversun, reached a milestone. I told him no problem! He'd just have to swear to me first! ;-)

My getting behind is at an all time high. Yay! Er... wait. That's not right. As I've mentioned several times, I have been extremely busy at work with little to no time to devote to AC. Some of these may be just a *tad* outdated, but I didn't want to skip getting them up. Without further ado, here they are: July Letters! Ha. To answer the many questions I receive monthly about taking screenshots, I finally made up a special page of Screenshots & Mail Tips to help.

And no, I can't log into the Zone either. *curses silently about the terrible injustice of this being Maggie's first day off in weeks!* ;-)
