Turbine has posted a follow-up article on the Allegiance XP changes. It's been added to the patch section here! In addition, Ibn is requesting feedback on AC's PvP experience. Add your comments here!

The Mirror, Mirror patch page is finally shaping up! Pretty pennants, allegiance chat, a Caul overhaul, new creatures, new trophies, stamp-able shields, and even enlightened states! I think this just might be the best patch evah!!

On a personal note, I just wanted to thank everyone again for all the kind words and well wishes. This was a pretty rough week for me and they really helped boost my spirits. I'm happy to say that today, I finally began to feel half way human again! Enlightenment, here I come! ;-)

I've made a good start on the Mirror, Mirror patch page, but I'm afraid the rest is going to have to wait until later today. I still have over 100 submissions to go through, so if you don't see your credit yet, know there's more coming soon...ish! Thanks, as always, for the fabulous info and screenshots!

Today is patch day! Although I'm not fully up to speed, I do plan to work on the site today, so expect updates to the Mirror, Mirror patch page (although not at the usual speed) throughout the day. I do ask to please try and send .jpg format screenshots and no .bmp screenshots. I'm at home on a dial-up connection. If you need help converting, see my Mail and Screenshots Tips page. Also a reminder to please use jackcat@spacestar.net for any screenshot submissions. Thanks once again for all the well wishes!

First of all I want to say thank you to the hundreds and hundreds of you, including Turbine and various fan sites, who have passed on your thoughts and prayers and get well wishes since my accident. I really appreciate it.

Getting back in the swing of things (sort-of), Ibn re-sent the exclusive teaser pic for tomorrow's patch, and you can find it here, along with the teaser. A few other items I missed that you might find of interest are an interview with Jeff Anderson on HomeLanFed, information on the Darktide Rollback, a clarification on the price increase, and IP data for anyone who configures a firewall manually. The State of the Network has also been updated to reflect that Zone ticket errors are being investigated.

I usually tend to avoid taking advantage of this platform by sending out my messages to the masses, but I'm making an exception today: If you drink, DON'T DRIVE!! My car rolled and was totaled Thursday evening after being slammed by a drunk driver, with me in it, of course (Yay! for seatbelts!). A few days in intensive care, and a few CAT scans later, I've been allowed to come home to finish recovering from my head injury. Can I just say... owie!! (Yes, I should fully recover.)

I've asked Ibn to resend my exclusive teaser pic so I can get it posted for you. More coming soon! But don't be surprised if this month's patch info goes up a little slowly. Not only am I injured, but I'm at home. On dial-up!!! ;-)

I get request from people looking to help with the site all the time. Now's your chance! I'm looking for about 4 people from each server to do some kind-of-boring and tedious research. Doesn't that sound like fun!!?! If you'd like to help, send me an email with your in-game name and server and I'll send you the details.

Update: Thanks for the response so far! I could still use 1 or 2 for LC, SC, TD, WE and DT!

I've fixed The Rewards Table for the Exploration Society Letter Quests. After all my talk about the necklace of focus, I ended up with a stupid old wand by mistake! That Nexus Guide gave me a little headache! Apparently, I was reading it backwards. ;-)

The Exploration Society Letter Quests have been updated with the changes from the latest patch. A Book of Quests for New Explorers was updated and the Nexus Town Information Guide added. The Rewards Table has also been revised! The mystery of where to find a Necklace of Focus has been solved!! (Of course it was also in the book. ;-) I'm still missing a few of the Society Weapons and Society Jewelry pieces if anyone's in the mood to run a noob around.

Many, many months ago, in one of my irregularly spaced Newsletters, I mentioned some upcoming enhancements to sections of the site. They're finally starting to come to fruition! Thanks to Arboc of SC of Dereth Navigation fame, coder extraordinaire, portions of the site are going .asp! The Pets section is the first to get an overhaul. Now you can click on the creature name and get detailed information about location, stats, and weaknesses! In addition Faile Biashere, author of the Bandit Sight plug-in, has been compiling data on the loot profiles and salvage drops of the creatures of Dereth. Thanks to Faile, this information can now be found on the creature detail page!

More additions are coming soon, including trophy drops and dungeon locations, plus an overhaul of the Tourism section! Thanks again, Arboc! It's beeyootiful!

There's more news on the upcoming server moves on the State of the Network. DT, MT, HG and WE will be unavailable Jan 19-21, and LC, TD, FF and SC will be down Jan 22-24. AC is coming home!

A Dev Chat has also been scheduled Wednesday, 1/14 at 9 PM Eastern (6 PM Pacific) to discuss the subscription fee increase, new server and allegiance xp changes. You can join the chat on IGN�s IRC server, chat1.ign.com (port 6667), channel: #asheron.

In case you haven't seen the announcement on the Turbine Forums, the server move has been scheduled to begin January 20! I know I've been a little slow getting back in the groove after the holidays, but I promise, more coming soon! ;-)

Ibn sends news on the fate of the AC1 accmty forums. As part of the transition from MS to Turbine, they will be shut down Feb. 1, 2004. The Turbine forums will become the official forums for AC1.

To familiarize yourself with the Turbine forums, pop by and play the AC Forums Contest: Who or what is Aerbax's Mirror? Contest ends at 9PM EST today!
