TIP FOR ARCHERS ATTACKING A GROUP OF CREATURES
Here is a fact that is useless to melee fighters but extremely important to archers, especially on the surface. Most monsters have a curious but exactly predictable pursuit (of you) behavior. It works this way: 1) when you attack a monster for the *first time* (debuffs count as attacks) all of the monsters allied with that monster will run toward you and pursue you. 2) When you escape them, and then return, and then attack *the same* monster again -- only the monster being attacked for the second time will pursue you. This allows archers to fight monsters one at a time when in open country.
NOTE: when you return and attack a *different* monster, all the allied monsters will pursue you once again. Repeat the above procedure; they will not attack when you return and attack the same monster.
