I'm not going to explain it, you wouldn't believe me... Maggie you know I have submitted other stuff. Trust me this is no Hoax! I found it N of Samsur, when I I'D'd it, it said something about time and space and vanished!

Hello Maggie,
Me and my friend Lillyh found a very strange thing in the desert east of Samsur. A police box?! I double-clicked it, but it could not be used. Seconds later it disappeared.

They sounded like the tales of madmen. Travelers reported seeing a strange blue Police Box appearing on the landscape. As they approached to investigate, it would disappear! For months it was a mystery. People cried, "hoax!" When a screenshot showed up as proof, accusations of Photoshop-foolery abounded.

Reputations were in tatters.

"Will no one believe me?" these poor Cassandras wailed.

The Devs were questioned. They claimed no knowledge. The TARDIS is not in Dereth, they cried!

But, of course, the determined portal.dat haxor discovered the strange mysterious question mark and knew beyond doubt that while some of the Devs may have had no idea of its existence, at least one twisted Dev mind knew the truth of the TARDIS! ;-)

The TARDIS is a tribute to the British television program Dr. Who. The Police Box is "the Doctor's method of travel through time and space.

TARDIS, of course, stands for Time And Relative Dimensions In Space. Or Time and Relative Dimension in Space, if you're a purist."

Spotting the TARDIS in-game is rare. It's been known to appear at 6.8N, 11.6E and 5.4S, 33.2E and 74.0N, 16.0W. In previous months, it was spotted in other locations around Dereth.
