The Barkeeps |
|
The barkeeps in the capital cities of Zaikhal (Ghazi al-Barbasin), Hebian-to (Fo Ya-Un) and Cragstone (Magrom
the Red) sell Festival Lights. These lights look
beautiful near the doorway of your dwelling. Or station one in your basement
to brighten up your lower living level! During
The Hall
of the Tusker King Magrom the Red began selling a holiday pole!
During
The
Iron Coast event, Ketnan surfaced on the new Tusker Island of Aphus
Lassel. He sells two new housing items, a plaque and a carved Tusker Statue
in the Tusker Emporium at - 4.4N, 95.9E |

Ornaments |
| The
following items were introduced in The
Gathering Storm event. Astral Dominae of TD reports that you can purchase Garden Drudges for 200K,
Fountains for 200K or Signs for 100K in the furniture shop at the Hollow
Lair near Lytelthorpe (2.2S, 50.7E), restricted to levels 20+. (The NPC
takes trade notes.)
If you kill the Minion (take the passage left of the lifestone), you can
pick up a Nearly Illegible Note which spawns on the floor. Give it to the
Envoy for Nuhmudira's Token. Return the Token to the Envoy for access to the
furniture store, OR give it to an Agent in exchange for a writ. Choose
wisely! See the
Writ of
Refuge quest write-up for details. Chalkboards for mansions or villas
were introduced during
Vision
in the Darkness and the Doorbell arrived during
Waking
from the Abyss. |

The Woodsmen |
| Two
Woodsmen appeared during The
First Strike event, selling wreaths, trees, and bundles of firewood.
Jacque the Woodman can be found outside Glenden Wood at 28.8N, 27.5E. A
second Woodsman is located near Holtburg
at 43.4N, 33.3E (the Woodsman in Holtburg does not sell the Large Pine
Trees or the Tumerok Chair).
During the
Persuasion event, the two
Woodsmen's inventory changed from seasonal offerings to
spring plantings of hearty green trees.
The Hall
of the Tusker King event brought back the wreaths & winter trees, plus a
few new items: treated wood, and log furniture! Four additional items were
added during
Waking
from the Abyss: the Tumerok Chair, Casks, Barrels and Shrubbery! |

Sunflowers & Snowflowers |
|
During the
Betrayal event,
the apprentices (see above) began to carry new pedestals and vases in their
inventories. Spring has sprung! Not only have dye plants begun to appear more
frequently, but Sunflowers are blooming as well! The crystal vase can hold up to
5 sunflowers, and it may be placed on a pedestal. The sunflower itself may
also be hooked.
Sunflowers have been found in the NW of Dereth
on the way to the Chorizite Refiner near the Beach Fort, near the Northreach
Settlement at 74.0N, 35.0E, near the Caulnalain Vestibule, the mountains
East of Qalaba'r, in the Sennon Valley area, near Stonehold, and north of
Holtburg at 65.9N, 30.3E; 69.4N, 35.7E; 73.7N, 26.0E; and 73.9N, 12.8E. They
have also been found east of Lady Maila Estates (outside Mayoi) at 74.9N,
40.1W; 73.2N, 43.3W; 76.3N, 41.2W; 78.0N, 42.1W; and 73.0N, 41.5W.
During
The Hall
of the Tusker King snowflowers dotted the landscape. They have been
found in the N Direlands and outside Ayan Baqur, as well as near
Neydisa and the Crater.
(Reported locations
72.2S, 39.2E
and 87.9N, 5.1W
-- not static spawns.)
Snowflowers, like Sunflowers, may be added to vases (pics below by Wekar of

Crafted or Quest Housing Items |
|
The
Head of the
Olthoi Queen was one of the first housing decorations, introduced during
the
Dark Majesty. During
The First
Strike,
Snowmen
were also able to be hooked at your home. A suit of Thorsten's Armor was first seen in the Training Academy
dungeon. During the
Betrayal event,
it was discovered to be a replica of the famous Thorsten Cragstone's armor.
You can obtain a suit of armor to display in your own home by completing a
quest.
A Horn of Vigilance and the
Ursuin Rug became
available during the
Hidden
Vein event. Learn more about the Horn of Vigilance quest
here. The
Ursuin Rug is made by giving Gillian the Poacher up at Bandit Castle (66.3N,
49.9E)
a hide from a Slasher Ursuin.
During June 2002's Castling
event, new quests were added for the
Arcane
Pedestal, the
Map of Dereth
and Flags!
October of 2002 brought the stylish
Evil Couch
during the
Festivus
event! The
Hall of the Tusker King event of Dec. 2002 introduced some festive
holiday decorations:
Holiday
Lights and a
Snowman
Snowglobe!
The Coconut Tusker, usable with both wall and floor hooks, can be
carved from the little coconuts dropped by Tusker Tossers by using a
Whittling Knife! Introduced during
The Hall
of the Tusker King. Fishing Pole, Trunk of Bones, Ball of Gunk and Skeleton are all
items pulling from a
Fishing
Hole (Discoveries
event.) Treasure is found in
Ulgrim's
Basement. The Alloy Machine is part of the
Undead
Mechanic quest from
Reign of
Terror. The Living Tome is also from the
Reign of
Terror event. Olthoi Resurgent is from
A Swelling
Tide. Visit Frost Haven, the town introduced in
Waking
From the Abyss, to get an Ice Box to air condition your home! You can
also decorate your home with a Snowflake or Honorary Snowman Token! The Homecoming Pennant
& The Font of Jojii are from the

Commemorative & Decorative
Bronze Statues |
|
During the
Hidden
Vein event, the residents of Dereth learned how to defeat the Bronze
Statues that were attacking the towns. The heroes who defeated the native
casts won a unique Commemorative Bronze Statue as a prize. Other following
in their paths were able to receive Decorative Bronze Statues, smaller
versions of the unique Commemorative ones, to decorate their homes.
Learn more about this quest
here.
The
Castling
event brought changes to the Bronze Statues. Time and the elements did their
work and all Bronze Statues became oxidized, appearing a blue-green in
color. |
