Roberto Eduardo - Level 58
Roberto-Eduardo and I have kept in touch since he volunteered for the Runway long ago. A lot has happened between now and then! He became a Monarch for a while, at the bequest of his RL family (4 brothers, one sister-in-law, and one nephew) who also play AC. He missed being part of the Orion Hunters, though, and convinced them that's where he wanted to return. He's now pledged to Chairety Orion under Archimites Orion. In addition to family, he has also taken on another vassal named Gripper who lives in England. Over the months, there have been some up (like getting 4 Altan Swords, one for each elemental stone), and there have been some downs. The following story, sent to me by Roberto-Eduardo, is a tragic one indeed! I wiped away a tear as I read it, weeping for joy that it didn't happen to me! ;-) Hi Maggie,
You see, when I first went to Eastham to have my Halloween mask made, I noticed the blood on the floor. I had recalled seeing a picture of the guy who made the GSA and there was blood on the floor. So I figured this is where you get the GSA. I checked your site to make sure and found that the Celdon was in Eastham. I DID NOT JOT DOWN THE COORDS! I headed straight to the mask creator and handed him my SCINTILLATING GEM! Maggie, words cannot describe
how I felt when he did not give me my GSA leggings. I just sat there in
disbelief....so many thoughts entered my mind. I had gave up leveling for
TWO MONTHS STRAIGHT! I know this is where you get your GSA, but this guy
makes masks also. How can he do both? I felt so stupid, I just sunk out of
town and hid at my mule spot and logged.
I can hear the groans of sympathy from here! But Roberto-Eduardo had success at last! He posed for this update in his Greater Celdon Leggings of Frost which go great with his Ursuin Coat. He wears the Plate Gauntlets in Town to conserve mana on his Sword Mastery Gauntlets (those are niiiiccceee gloves!), and swaps out his Crown for a Virindi Mask when he goes hunting. The Steel Toed Boots are for Tuskers. I asked to see what he's fighting with these
days. He pulled out a great Bandit Rapier and a powerful Tachi. I was interested
to know where he found the Rapier. I've been carrying around my hilt for ages,
waiting to find a decent enough weapon to attach it to. He said that he got it
over on Aerlinthe. He got the great shield
from an Umbris.
In the not too distant future, he'll be able to train another skill and is trying to decide between Lockpick, XBow or Staff. His biggest regret was not training Life. I asked him why not wait for it. At what level could he get life? The answer was: never! I guess that rules that out! Roberto-Eduardo actually began from one of the Turbine templates and early on trained Appraise Weapon before learning that other skills may have been more useful. My vassal, the Item Magic Appraiser, can relate, I'm sure! He says that at times, it's been a hard road. But he's managed to do great so far, approaching level 60, with a Rapier that can take down an Olthoi Soldier in just a few strokes! And when he really wants to use that Life Magic, he pulls out his Level 27 Mage.
